Call Status Codes

You can view the status of individual calls within each set of voice messages by selecting the "Recipients" option from the options drop-down.
Status codes for each individual call are listed as shown below:
Possible Status Codes include:
  • Completed
  • No-answer
  • In Progress
  • Busy
  • Error
  • "Blank"

Completed:
The call was picked up by either a human or by voicemail.

This status will be shown even if no voicemail gets left on the receiving end. This is a result of some voicemail configurations that require a key press in order to leave a voicemail. In that case, you will see a "Completed" status, but no voicemail.
The delivered message may be preceded by a long pause before beginning the recorded message. Our system starts by waiting for a human or voicemail greeting to begin, then waits for it to end before starting the message. If our system doesn't hear a voice, be it a human or a machine, it will wait the designated Timeout value of 30 seconds before beginning the message.

No-answer:
The number was dialed but no one answered before the Timeout value of 60 seconds has elapsed.

In Progress:
The call is in queue to be processed.

Busy:
The number was dialed and received a busy signal.

Error:
This code is reported for a variety of reasons. These reasons include but are not limited to:
  • The target number is an international number. At this time international calls are not supported.
  • The target number has opted out of voice messages from Edlio Voice Messaging.

"Blank":
This code is usually a result of a malformed or invalid phone number. This appears as an empty status code on your admin site and doesn't actually show the word "Blank".
