Learn how Edlio’s CMS and Sangha parent communication app work together to help your school communicate more effectively with parents. We go over how the Sangha app works, including actionable calendars and the notification system, as well as how it interacts with your Edlio CMS.

Alright, we'll go ahead and get everything started. My name is Matt Woods with Edlio here, and we're going to actually be reviewing Edlio's new parent communication tool called Sangha or Sangha depending on where you are. I'm from the South, and I interchange both of them, but if anyone just joined, I know I mentioned this earlier for the folks that were on - if you have any questions, I have one of my colleagues on here, so please ask questions in the chat. My colleague Amanda will answer those for you. Let's go ahead and get started. Sangha, itself, the name is kind of unusual. It essentially means "community" in Sanskrit. That's kind of where the name came from, but the 30,000 - 10,000 feet view, if you will, is the system's going to actually connect to your SEO website. You're going to be able to access it from the back end of your website like we're going to see here in just a second, but what it actually does and what it was built to do is to actually streamline the communication from the school, the teacher, the administrators to the guardian or the parents out there. It allows multiple ways to actually communicate and how they can actually receive those communications, and what that really means is we that have four different avenues on how to actually communicate. We have voice, text, email, and also an app as well that I actually have right here that we're going to kind of be bouncing back and forth from to see how the system looks in real time for parents. So, voice text, email, and app - it was also going to integrate with your student information system, and we actually do integrate with that student information system via Clever. I'm sure some of you have heard of this system before and maybe are already using it at the school or district. We do use Clever to actually make the integration with the SIS platform. It doesn't agree with about 30 or show of the major platforms out there, so I do have a tab here with those on the list of current SIS platforms out there. I'll just quickly take a quick look at them. You can see they're alphabetized - all those lists here. If yours is not on here, don't fret. I have actually called platforms in the past, and just because they weren't on the list, it means that they were just not updated. There is some ability to still connect with those platforms, but let's kind of jump into the system itself and how what it does and how it can communicate because it has multiple ways to actually reach out to parents as well. There's those one-way communication avenues, the announcement piece - School closed today due to weather. - Things such as that - more statement pieces. There's also two way communication as well, so it's essentially text messaging parents and teachers through the app itself. That system can be turned off if need be, but it is there as a standard. Then the third, the last and third and probably the most unique aspect is going to be what we call an actionable calendar, and what that actually mean is it allows a teacher or administrator to create a calendar event, and then a parent actually is notified of that event. They can then act upon it. So, they can RSVP. They could volunteer. They can volunteer to bring items. They could digitally sign forms, and there's even a payment option as well within that calendar feature. Also, kind of a side note to that - there's a parent-teacher conferencing schedule as well built within the calendar. So, you can see there are really three different ways - announcements, one-way / two-way communication, and then the calendar piece. So, when merging all these different platforms that a lot of schools and districts are using separately into one unified system that's also going to integrate with your edlio website as well. So, let's go ahead, jump in, and get our hands on the system so that you can see it so you can actually see it in action. I'm on one of our demo sites Hamilton Elementary right here, so this is actually pretty common for most of you. It's probably pretty similar to the login that you might be using on a daily basis, but I'm going to login here as an administrator. The system is permission-based meaning that teachers when they log into it only have access to children or parents within their particular class that they are teaching. So, they will not be able to message other students that are not in their class - just the ones rostered in their particular classes, and again it's syncing up with your student database. So, you're not not having to manually update or create those classes. It's pulled in when we do the sinking to your SIS platform. So, I'm going to go ahead and jump right in here, and we're going to look at the the back end of this website real fast. So, I see some questions coming through. I'm sure my colleague, Amanda, is answering those for you, but I was going to keep this going for everyone's time sake. I'll take a look after the fact and maybe answer some of those if I do see some that I can answer quickly. This is the back-end of Hamilton Elementary. It's probably very similar to most of your site that you are used to. The only thing you see is different - you see right here's the Sangha Link in the top right corner. So, this is a single sign on from the back-end of your Edlio website to the Sangha platform. So, I just clicked on it, and we're bouncing from the Edlio website over to the Sangha system here. This is kind of the landing page when you jump onto Sangha. This is the calendar piece I was just mentioning. I'm actually going to come back to this piece because it's kind of the most outside the box, and I like to do the more apples to apples comparison for most most schools and districts for what they're using now which is the the actual messaging - direct messaging - text, voice, email - such as that, and that's under this little section called messages right here. So I'm going to click over here, and we'll come back to that calendar section in just a second. So here's actually the messaging part to it. All of our current messages are also housed within the system, and there's completely unlimited amount of text and voice messages that you can create. You don't ever have to worry about running out of allotment and whatnot. It's truly unlimited messages, but this little section also has a slash here. This is the one-way communication, the announcement, and then the parent messaging is the two-way. So we'll address both of those, but I'll start with the announcement piece first here. We're going to go in and just click "New Announcement" and create brand new announcement for our parents. Right here at the very top - section one. So, this is where you actually create these messages. So, right now we're logged in as an administrator, so we can actually message the entire school right here. If we're looking from a district standpoint, we actually do have a drop-down right here. So, if I'm an administrator and need to message the entire District, I can click right here and message the entire district. If I need to be more precise, I can actually just select a particular school and go down to message a particular class or maybe a group such as an athletic group or something of that nature. I can get even more granular on that if I want to. I can actually click this little custom list right here, and I can actually search you know individual students even like a Hines Ward here. I can actually search individual students within my section. I'm actually going to actually go to my class actually and let you see how we can actually search students within classes. So, if I want I can just message everyone within Matt's class here, or, again, I can be very granular and look at all students within my class and message a particular student if need be like Le'Veon Bell here. If anyone knows the football team, I'm a Steelers fan, so that's why you see these players named here. I'm going to go ahead and message my entire class. If you wanted to sort it by any sort of measure, say you want to sort individual students by name, you could do it that way, or there's also what we call an upload or ad hoc list right here. This is real neat because we want the system be as flexible as possible for multiple ways to utilize it. So, this upload list that I'm actually pulling up right here is actually going to allow us to create a new list on the fly and, the first one we can actually do is for students. What it essentially is is an Excel spreadsheet that we can create. So, if you do have students within a particular group that is not housed in the SIS system in any type of group - say like a bus route of some sort or an athletic team or something like that - you can actually create these groups just using the student IDs by putting them in this first column, and the system is going to cross reference that student ID with their actual information knowing who that student actually is and how to send this out. So this is one of those one off lists. You can create these lists as one-time use, or you can actually save these list for future uses. So, multiple ways to kind of be flexible with it. There's even a non-student list, so this be one for like an alumni group maybe like a board member group or something like that. So you can create first name, last name, email, or phone number, and again it can be a one-time-use list or something for future use. So, again being very flexible about how we can actually utilize the system. I'm going to go back to the class, and I'm going to just save my particular class here so that we can actually see what it looks like when we're creating a message. I'm going to jump in here - Welcome back students. We just started school back up here in Texas where I'm at, so I'm going to create a quick little message. "Welcome Back Students" is going to be the title. So, there's no there's no amount of  - there's no limitations on the amount of characters in the description. You can create as long a list as you would like. You can also add different things to it such as like a photo. I'm going to add a quick little photo here. You can also use this little microphone, and since it is going out in one centralized place for voice, text, email, and app. So anyone that's receiving a voice message instead of it being a robocall that's kind of cold and uninviting, you can actually put your phone number in here and the system can record your voice to this. It's really nice way to be a little more personable with it essentially using this as a script for recording the message if you want. If we have our title and description here, we can actually move down here and determine how we want actually send this message out. So we have a couple different ways we can send this out - digest, immediate, and emergency. Digest and immediate are going to be available to all users, and I'm going to explain the difference between them. Then, emergency is only available to key administrative users, so not everyone has access to emergency. It's for a good reason, and I'll explain why. So, for immediate, it does what it sounds like. It sends out the message immediately. It doesn't wait or anything like that. It just goes out as soon as you click send, and it goes out. Digest, which is the other one that's available to everyone is probably the neatest one because what it essentialy does is it will consolidate messages together. So, again if you're in a district or maybe a high school setting that has multiple teachers using this for a single student - like a homework assignment update of some sort, the system will consolidate those messages again to go out at 6 p.m. So, that's really nice because over notification is just as bad as under notification, so we want to walk that fine line between giving them information they need and want and not over-notifying them and annoying the parent. Again in all of these, immediate and digest, are just are going out to the single communication channels that the parent is selecting voice, text, email, or app during the onboarding process when we send out the initial invite parents to join the single platform. Emergency is going to be that one that again is only available to administrators, and it's a very good reason it because it is by far and away the most intrusive method of contact because it will reach parent on all available communication channels. Even if they've only selected say text message - if they've selected a text message more likely they can receive a voicemail as well on there, so it's going to give them a text and a voice - if they have the app text voice app. If they have email also, they're going to get all four, so very intrusive. Again if something like school closures or something else is happening you do want to make sure you're getting this information to parents, and parents do get that notification when it is emergency. I'm going to switch it back to Immediate before I send this, but I've got two last things on here before we actually send this. These are actually going to be pertain to only Edlio customers. You're going to be able to actually cross-post this message also over to your website as well. So one entry can post to all communication, so if you wanted to actually send this over to your news and announcements portion of your website, which is generally most schools, you know, news section, their main news section, you're able to actually cross-post this over there. So, it appears on your website as well as reaching out to parents and guardians. Again, you have to have the correct permission level on both the Sangha system and the Edlio system, but if they are, you will be able to send it out to both sections. If you are not an administrator, just a regular teacher, you probably do have access to your personal teacher page and maybe are using it for homework so maybe we do want to put that in Bio Period 2 because it's the homework for that particular class. So, it's nice that you don't have to duplicate information on both platforms. The other one is going to be social media - being able to send out to social media - Facebook and Twitter. That's really, really crucial because so many parents receive information from Twitter nowadays that having that on there and also going to their personal devices is going to just really intensify that communication and bond between the school and parent. If we click send now we're actually going to see the system in action. So, I'm going to click send, and I'm just bouncing over to my app that I have right here. We should get a quick little message on my app. There is goes right here. So, Jane Driver is the teacher were actually signed in as currently on the website here, so Jane Driver has sent you a message - Welcome back students. If I click that as a parent, you can actually open up my app, and we can actually see the message I just created. So, Jane Driver sent a message to Matt's class - welcome back students. The parents are so happy, and there's our little photo that we attached with it. So, you see how quick it went through, extremely quick, extremely fast. Email goes through just as fast. Voice and text - it is a hundred voice or text messages a second. So just depending on the size of the school district, you can kind of quickly get an idea of how quick it can reach all of your community. Once we have actually created that message and sent it out, we have a little more analytics that we can actually do with this particular message. I can actually come down here, and I can actually click on this to view the delivery of this message. I can actually see that Le'veon Bell here has actually - the student's name is Le'veon Bell, the parent's name is me - but he's actually reviewed this message with the time stamp on here. So, I can actually see if a parent has viewed a message or not. So if a parent says they never received the message, you can kind of do a little investigating to see if it was sent out or maybe there's a error message on here because this will actually notify if there's an error message - say like a wrong phone number or a disconnected phone number, it will show an error message. If an email bounced back, it will show that error message as well. It's letting me know that I probably need to get in contact with this parent and maybe update their information in the SIS platform. So, it's really nice that you can actually see a little bit more info here once you created a message. So, that is the one-way communication aspect of it. I'm going to move along at a pretty brisk pace here, and we're asking to jump over to the second part of this messaging aspect which is the parent messaging portion of this. So, the parent messaging portion is pretty neat, but you can actually kind of get a very quick idea of what this looks like from the back end. I'm actually going to interact with it in a different format. I'm actually going to interact with this message on the teacher app version of Sanga because we have a parent app which is the top left. We have a teacher app that is that center one with the green logo, that green Sangha logo. There multiple ways for teachers to actually update information on here. We're not limiting them to have to have a computer in front of them to update this. They probably are going to have a computer in front of them a majority of the time, but they might have their phone in their pocket. So, if they had their phone in their pocket and wanted to send out a quick message, they can actually log onto the app very quickly like we're doing right here, and they're going to be able to actually send out a message to all the parents just like we're going to do. So, this is kind of what the the calendar looks like on the teacher app. I'm going to click in that top right corner on that thought bubble right there. That's actually the symbol for the text message. So, I'm clicking on messages, and I'm going to create a new message. I'm going to send a message to I'm going to send a message to Le'veon Bell, so I just search you see I just searched the name finished typing Bell and it pulled up, so I'm going to go ahead and click on Le'Veon Bell here. We're going to send him a message that says "This is Sangha". Click "Send", and I'm actually now sending this message to Le'Veon Bell right here. It's super simple, super straightforward. Actually you know what I forgot Bell is not who I'm signed in as on my teacher app. It's Hines Ward. So here's all of the messages from Hines Ward earlier. The neat thing about Sangha is it will actually store the information on here for the life of the contract, so no messages will ever be able to be deleted. Some states like I know California, Ohio, and I believe North Carolina are states that mandate any electronic communication be stored for record-keeping purposes. We do that with Sangha. We are also I Keep Safe certified. There is another California acronym like CSPC I want to say is acronym. I forget what exactly it stands for is another extra level of certification that we are also already certified with, but you can see very straightforward on how I can actually message people back and forth on the on the app itself. It is very very quick very easy. I'm actually now going to bounce over to the calendar part. Actually, I'm going to bounce over to the auto notice feature that a lot of people might be asking questions about because the system will also do an automatic notice such as attendance or low lunch balances or dues of some sort. They can actually automatically notify those parents that hit a certain threshold of attendance or lunch dues or things of that nature, but that's actually done through the Edlio portion of your website. So, I can actually click on my name or my little initials here, JD, and bounce back over to the Edlio website to show you how we can actually set up the auto notices because we actually did that in the Edlio website portion because we be able to expand upon this for future updates in the system. The Edlio portion was a little more flexible in how we can do that, but what we can actually do is go down to our site management feature and go into auto notice. So, this is how we are creating auto notices on the Sangha platform. Creating a new auto notice is actually done right through this section that says "Add Notice", and it's pretty straightforward. I won't necessarily go through it for time sake too much, but you have your auto notice name. We do a secure FTP sourcing of those notices. I'm sure some of you might already be doing this with your current system. Essentially it's wanting a script to say everyday at 9 we're going to collect attendance from the SIS system and put it into the Sangha platform. So that was actually if you notice is the SFTP section on the front page, but this is actually where you're actually going to be creating how those notices go out. So here's the CSV file type for that that notice, and then we do have only one mandated column here which is a student number because we need to know what student we're actually notifying or what parents of the students are going to get the notification. There's different columns we can add such as, you know, "Lunch balance" What type data type is this? It is going to be a number data type or text data type or a date data type. A low lunch balance is generally a number, so we select number. Then we can actually "Add condition" Say, this is going to go off when I the lunch balance hits less than a $5 number value. Then that low lunch balance is going to kick off and send out that notification. You can also come down in here, and actually create the message that goes out. Edlio High School Your student your student name and insert name, so the system will automatically insert the student's name there has a low lunch balance. please follow the link to more money to his/her account, and that could be you know www.paypal.com or something whatever their lunch balance system you might be using is, and then we can actually do the delivery. So how often do we want this to actually go out? You know, probably every day of the week Monday through Friday. What time do you want us to go out. This again depends on the autoscript and what time you're actually telling the system to wake up and query your student information system to pull out that low lunch balance or the attendance. What channels? What channels do you want this to send on? Do you want to do the smart notification which is probably the preferred method of that, so it goes out to those individual channels that they're setting up, or do you want to send it to all channels. Again some states mandate that any auto-notifications going out to parents maybe can't be SMS and text messages. They have to either be an app or an email or any combination. I think Connecticut has rules where voice and text message can't be auto-notified or auto-notice. So again having the system to be flexible for those states that have certain requirements Then "Notice Manager", so if you're a tech director that's creating this, but you want to give the head of the lunch department access to low lunch balance information and who's getting it you can just put their information right in here and then again click Create Auto Notices. That will then filter over to your Sangha system and be housed in the auto-notice section over here. So, here's the auto-notice, and I'll click on one of these to kind of show you want a notice can kind of look like. So, "Your child John Williams was absent from Hamilton Elementary", so he probably put John Williams as a student name so it's filled it in and then it probably did the date as well. You can see that Ron Swanson here has viewed the message again with a timestamp, so the auto notices are also giving you that confirmation that a parent is receiving it. So, very neat for the auto notices, which is something that is almost a must-have nowadays. For time sake again, we're going to kind of move at a brisk pace and go over to the calendar section. So this is that last piece I want to go over today and probably again the most unique aspect of it. So the Sangha system will integrate with a Google Calendar system, so if you are a Google school or District or using Google Calendars the system can integrate this so your everyday you know regular notice - a regular calendar event - will be able to be transferred into the Sangha system. It doesn't have to completely override how you're doing the calendar, but if you want to do any of those actionable calendar parts, the really neat parts - the parent-teacher meeting and the sign-up events, we are going to have to create those within Sanga because essentially the other systems out there nowadays or just not as smart as the Sangha platform in getting that engagement level up with the parents. One of biggest benefits in the system is the engagement level which is between 85 and 90% engagement which is really unheard of in the parent K-12 school sector. We're going to create a new event here, and you can see we have little subsections. The quick remind is just like that Google Calendar that I just mentioned and we need to create a Google calendar this week waiting a quick remind which is just like a regular calendar event. The other two here are Signup Event and Parent Meeting or Parent-teacher meeting are those actionable parts and those are the ones I like I want to focus on because they're the most unique. So, let's do this Signup event real quick. So, "Welcome back party Again parents are are so happy Again here's our date - I mean title description of our location we have here. If you want any attachments, we can also attach those right within the system, but then of course you know we need to have a date on here. So, I'm going to put 31st as our event date here, and I'm going to do a timed event from 8:30 to 2:30. Then again I can actually see all these different classes or groups that I can actually send this calendar event to. We're actually about to update this section so it does reflect exactly what you saw in the announcement where you can just type in class name and notify everyone as opposed to having to look at this list right here that I then have to find my name which is right here and send it to. So, we're about to update that. This is a little bit of an older view. I'm sure if anyone does choose to move forward with Sangha, they're going to have the new version when it launches. Then down at the bottom here are our actionable calendar events. So, we have five different ones here: RSVP, volunteer, items to bring, form, and payment. RSVP, the first one. Let's go ahead and jump into this. So, we just clicked on that, and it pulls up some of the different options we have here. This first option is actually going to have is going to run across a couple of our different ones. It's going to be an RSVP like we're seeing here. It's going to be in forms and it's going to be in payment. It's a deadline date, and the reason we have this and the reason why I point it out is because it's going to automatically reengage parents that have not taken an action on their child's calendar. So when you create a calendar event, the parents are going to get an automatic notification as soon as we create that event. Then, three days before the event, the RSVP deadline date, or the deadline date is said to occur the system is going to renotify parents that have not acted upon the event. If a parent acts upon the event, they will not get a renotification because they've already told us that they're coming or they're not coming to the event, but if they haven't done anything, they get an automatic renotification at three days. If they still haven't taken it, the day before our deadline date is said to go off, they'll get another notification. Then, the morning of our deadline date, they will get that last notification, so it's automatically re-engaging with a parent to get them involved with their child's school. Generally, I like to do the deadline date the day before our event just because it's probably the most common to get an accurate headcount. We can also do like a capacity here, so we don't want to run out of capacity in our system. Also, we want to give maybe a maximum number of guests allowed per student because we don't maybe want one family bringing you know twelve family members to graduation and what kind of taking up a lot of space that you know other families might need for something. So we'll max it at, you know, four people allowed per student. So, there's all of our options for RSVP, so all we have to do to save it is literally just move on to the next section right here. So, we just moved over to the volunteer section. This is really nice for schools that have volunteer hours as a lot of private independent schools have volunteer hours, so this is a really nice way to get parents to actually sign up for volunteer hours on on the system. So, I'm just going to do one that says "Help out the teacher". The cool thing about the volunteer is we actually have an event that says 8:30 to 2:30. That's a 6 hour long event. That's a really long time to ask someone to volunteer, so maybe we want to add some shifts to that event like hour-long timed shifts. We can actually do that by saying, hey this event is going to be - this first shift is going to be 8:30 to 9:30. We're just going to do it so two parents per shift can actually sign up. So, here's our first hour-long shift, but of course you know we want to add more shifts to this. So that's when the system and it's built-in logic comes in the play because we've already created one shift with two sign-ups. Click Add Shift again, and it's going to replicate that first time slot that we did just for the next hour, and the next hour, and the next hour all the way to the end of our event at 2:30. So now we have six one hour shifts as opposed to one six hour shift. It's a lot more feasible for parents of us sign up for something like this, and we're ready to save this event or volunteer task. Just click Save Task because you can actually create more than one volunteering opportunity per calendar event. So if you want to do another one, click New Task and just start creating another event - another task - another volunteer task. Items to Bring works almost identical to the volunteer task, so this is just asking parents to bring water. We'll do four parents to bring water, and we'll do bring hot dogs. We'll ask three parents to bring hot dogs. So, you see I obviously say two different items to bring right here - super quick super easy, but then go over to forms. This is probably the neatest part of this because we are going to digitize your forms for you, so if you have any digital forms that you're, sorry, any forms that you might be sending home with students in like a PDF version, we can actually - we do ask for all those forms so that we can put them into the system so they're ready to go from day one. So, I'm going to have to - I'm just going to pull up one of the forms we have here already in the system, and as you can see right at the very top this is a form that we've already created, but if we need to edit this form, we do have a rich text editor available to edit this form. If you have a form that's brand-new that's created in the middle of the school year, you can give it to us and we will still digitize that for you, but if you wanted to, you can actually create forms as well in this little section called Classes right here. So, if you don't need us necessarily to create a form or if you don't want to wait for us to creative one because it might take some time to create it, you can actually do that yourself. So, we're giving multiple options on how you want to handle your forms, but we will digitize them all from the get-go Then, right actually on the forms we do a couple of different things here. We're doing what we call mapping. So we will actually map certain information that we already have within your SIS system like that student's name. Because obviously we're going to be sending these forms out to entire school, to an entire class, the system will automatically fill in a student name. It will automatically fill in the time, date, location, the organizer of the event, what school they are at, everything like that will automatically be filled in on this form from the get-go. We also do mapping down at the bottom here. So, this form actually has some information on it that we generally don't see, you know like maybe medical insurance information or policy group number. When a parent enters this information into the system on one form, if it asks for that same information on another form again, we actually map that to autofill for that parent so that they don't have to remember their medical insurance carrier provider number or policy number. It's already mapped if you've done it once into our system. The only thing we will not map is going to be this parent signature part because we always want to get that initial written confirmation from the parent - have them do it on every form that they are actually given their blessing for their child to go on this field trip release form or whatever you want it to do on these forms. We will map it. You have that deadline date just like we saw on the RSVP section. So, again if a parent has RSVP'ed for it, but they haven't completed their form and you create the deadline date, the system will automatically renotify those parents - Hey, you've RSVP'ed, but you haven't completed this form. You need to do this for your child to go on this field trip. So, a deadline date is also in this section. Then, the last section is going to be Payments. So, this is really neat because you are actually able to actually collect payments from our system, and we actually use a very well-known system called Stripe to actually do the credit card processing part of this. Stripe is a very well-known system. I think Facebook, Ebay, Target all you Stripe. You can see Shopify uses them - Handy which is like a man service - Kickstarter, a very very large internet community all use Stripe to do their credit card processing It's completely free for schools to use because what stripe essentially does is they will charge the parent a percentage of the transaction - 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. Essentially, it comes out to like for $5 transaction, I think that it's 46 cents So its 5.46 total for the parent to use it to pay with their credit card. Currently, stripe is the only credit card processing company that will sync with - with Sangha. There has been some talk about looking at other platforms out there. If you don't want to sign up for Stripe, what we have done and seen people do is they actually will put a link to the credit card processor that they want to use right with you, or maybe it's paypal.com slash Holy Family School or something like that. You know, you can put a link in there, and it will actually become a hyperlink that that parents can actually click on and actually do the payment if you do not want to use Stripe for your credit card processing part. If you do use Stripe, you can actually do a couple different types of campaigns - fixed fee per student - field trip fees essentially dues and things of that nature. Open fundraising donations - this is really big obviously for private institutions. If you don't want to use - if you want to use Stripe, but on fundraising maybe you're getting a very large donation that the person doesn't want to pay that 2.9% plus $0.30, you can actually collect check or cash and note that within Sangha to bypass that processing fee because you're not actually using their service. You're just collecting it and noting it in the system. Then lastly is a fixed unit price for items like tickets. I always like doing this one just because I can say - It's football season again, and you can sell your football tickets for, you know, $5 each. Then, you can actually also do it with Stripe and have different deposit accounts to actually go into So, stripe is really smart because you can create all different types of deposit accounts. So, if you have a lot of different campaigns like a field trip, a scholarship, an athletic fund, or something like that instead of it all going into one particular account and your finance person having to sort it all out, you can actually do them a favor by creating these different accounts and then depositing these different funds into an  account that pertains to that particular campaign. We'll just click the only one we have an option for here, but there's again more options. If you want to be super nice and cover those payor fees, you can absolutely do it. Stripe would just bill you the credit card - the processing fees that you need to pay for. If again a deadline date right here, so it will re-notify parents if they haven't paid for stuff, and then lastly is going to be a question. So, if you're selling like maybe say like tee-shirts or something like that you can see, you can say - Please give us your T-shirt size right here. So let's just go ahead and do that. So, now we've asked a question. So, if we're happy with everything again, we can just publish that to parents, and I'm going to bounce over here again to the app so that we can see it in real time. Welcome back party is our notification. We can click on this guy, and it's going to go from our notification that we received - our announcement excuse me - over to the calendar part. So, here's our event that we created - welcome back parents, time, date, location - again parents are so happy - created by Jane Driver. If you do have any additional questions, that little blue thought bubble actually takes you back to the two-way communication of this so that you can ask the teacher a direct question within the system. You can just go right in and start filling out these events like the RSVP that we have here. So, I clicked RSVP. Me, my wife, and our other child are going to be attending my high schooler's graduation. There's going to be three of us, so I click three. I click Done. I click Check, and now we're essentially telling the organizer of this event that there's going to be three of us attending, so three spots out of the hundred are going to be accounted for. If you hit a Max Capacity, the RSVP will shut down and notify the user and they hopefully can take action to maybe move to a larger room or just leave it shut down saying - hey we're at capacity. Sorry, you should have joined sooner. Then, you can bounce back out and go into the next section which is our volunteer. So, as a parent the earliest time works best for me as a as a volunteer, so I'm going to go ahead and select that 8:30 to 9:30 slot. It's going to go from orange to green essentially saying - Hey, I've locked down that slot if it's the only one. In our particular demo here, we did have two available slots for parents to volunteer in each section, so once another parent volunteers in this section in the 8:30 at 9:30 spot, it will be completely grayed out. No one else will be able to volunteer for that time. If you're really generous parent, and you say - Hey, I can actually volunteer for an additional hour, so click on that additional hour and lock down that 9:30 to 10:30 slot as well. All of these hours are actually tracked in the back of the system, so you can actually see who has actually volunteered and maybe mark them down in your volunteer hour database that you might be using of some sort. If I need to cancel, I can literally just click cancel, and I unsubscribe to that volunteer hour right there. So I'm just cancelling the second one I've volunteered for because I had a meeting pop up that I have to attend. Then I move back out and go into the bring items here. So, we see - Bring water and Bring hot dogs. So, I'll go ahead and sign up to bring water here. It's going to go from four slots to three slots available because I've signed up to bring one, and my initial is my child's initials are going to go right there as well. Again, teachers or organizers can see who's actually volunteered. The cool section here - the forms. So, I can click on forms. I can go down here. Again, if I have multiple students within the school or district, it will allow me to select whichever student pertains to this particular form. So, I only have one in our demo purposes, so I'm going to select Le'Veon on here. This is a digital consent form saying we're going to treat this the same as pen and paper, so if you click agree, it's going to actually pull up our actual form that we want to fill out. So, we see, here's our parents and guardians form. You can see there's my students name, Le'veon Bell. That's been auto-filled. I can kind of redo this form both in English and Spanish for this instance. I can come down here and start actually filling out our information. So, I am going put in my name here, Matt Woods. I'm going to throw in some quick information right within here to move it along, So, now that we've filled out everything here, our blue submit button has actually popped up, so we can actually then submit this form back to the user or back to the creator of this event. So, you can see how quick and easy it was to get parents to fill out a form. There's a lot of soft cost involved - you know, time in creating forms, getting the forms out to students, lost forms toner cost, paper cost. All this is actually reducing your overhead at the school using a system such as this. Then, going back into payments. Here's our payment module - football tickets - Welcome Back party. Our unit price or, excuse me, our price is $5. The quantity is one. The transaction fee $0.46 - $5.46 to parents. If we wanted to - let's go ahead and adjust this to 3. We need 3 tickets. So, now it's $0.76 total. $15.76 to the parent. It adjusted on the fly. You can see - here's my question that I put in there about the t-shirt size. So, two large, and one small. Then, you can actually come down here to our credit card information, and feel free to write this down. This is actually my credit card information right here, and include CCV. You can see the zip code here. Click pay with card. Obviously that's not my real credit card information there, but you can - you do have the option to save the card. I think all the information is saved as dashes besides the last 4 digits of the card. We do not save any credit card information within Sangha. that is all housed within Stripe. Stripe uses a very, very high level of security for their credit card processing. If anyone is interested or maybe wants to ask questions about that, I can pull up that information and send it over to you. That's pretty much the system itself. I'm going to refresh this page, so you can actually see the information that we just filled out in our - on the the iPod I have here. Welcome back party. So, there's actually the event that we created, so we can actually come back in here as an organizer of the event. Let's look at who's accepted. Max, the guardian of Le'Veon Bell has accepted a total of 3. We can see who hasn't accepted. We can even accept on behalf of or by proxy of, so I ran into Antonio Brown's dad, you know, John Brown, in the carpool lane, and him and his wife are going to attend. He asked me to go ahead and sign up for him, so I'm actually going to go ahead and do that as a teacher. So, you see by proxy I have signed up a parent to attend. Same thing with guardians. You can look and see who's signed up, who hasn't. You can again sign up people by proxy. You can edit the task after the fact. Bring in items is almost identical. Forms is also really neat because you can see individual forms and view those, and you can also export these forms in an Excel spreadsheet. So, if you are like, say, going on a field trip, and you need to get the emergency contact information of the Guardian - if there's any allergies that we need to be aware of and put them on a clipboard, the teacher has all that information right at their fingertips on the field trip by using this Excel spreadsheet. They can see everyone's information. Since we just filled out for one parent, that's why it's only showing up as one right now. So, payments, as well - Since I did not do any payments or put in the actual credit card, there's no one that has accepted, but like I said, you can actually do it by either cash or check and still acknowledge that someone has paid you right within here. So, super quick super easy. Again, the system is built to streamline all of your communications from school from teacher to parent. That is essentially the system in pretty much its entirety. The only section we didn't necessarily look at is the Parent-Teacher meeting portion of it, so I'll just very quickly go over it. We're going to send it to Matt's class, and the cool thing about the Parent-Teacher meeting is we can select, you know, particular days. I'll do a parent-teacher meeting on Saturday because I'm evil. You can also - we'll do it for Sunday as well so that I can tie up everyone's weekend here at parent teacher meetings. As a school - as a district administrator, you say - hey we're going to do parent-teacher meetings from, you know, 2:30 to let's just say 6:00. We're doing parent teacher meetings, and you can actually set the amount of times you want those meetings to last. Obviously, there's parent-teacher meetings that are probably going to go over a certain amount of time because everyone loves figuring out about their student. So, we're going to say 20 minutes at max, but you also want to give the teachers maybe a five minute break in between to kind of take a breath you know before we adjust for the next meeting. So, we put in a 5 minute break. You then click Create meeting time, and all of these slots are then going to be automatically populated for the teacher right on the fly. So, you don't have to worry about setting up all of these time slots. They're done automatically. If you need to edit time slots, if you need to add more, if you need to delete a time slot for say like lunch or something like that, you can do all this right within here. Then, we can again click publish to parents, and I'm going to bounce back over to my app. We can then see these meeting times on the app and select whichever meeting time is best, you know, for me as a parent. You know what, the latest time slot works best for me, so I'm going to go ahead and grab that 5:20 to 5:45 time slot right here. So, when I click that time slot it is going to turn blue, and for all other parents it's grayed out. So, no one else can have my time slot there. So, again if you needed to, you could come in here by proxy and say you know Antonio Brown, John Bell Brown had told me he wanted the earliest time slot on this particular day. Again by proxy I can do this, and you can see there's that Le'Veon Bell one that I did on the iPod right here. So, very quick very easy to do the Parent-Teacher meetings on the schedule as well. That really actually is most of the system.
