hey everyone thank you so much for joining me today my name is Sarah Cannon and I'm a client success specialist here at Leo I also have with me Sergio again he's our technical support representative and they were going to be doing our webinar on things you might not know about your adliya website so we're going to be talking about features that you might not know about some tips and tricks and ways to get the most out of your subscription with us need some common mistakes frequently asked questions and things like that by Sergio before we get started so we will be work Venus as always and putting it up on our help center when the webinar is over it'll be up on the webinar with it would be up on the help center within the next 24 to 48 hours just make sure that the transcription is completed so that anyone can but then it will be recorded So if you need to step away early or if you arrive late don't worry the whole thing will be available to you later feel free to use the Cuban a feature during the chat Sergio will be helping me monitor that and he can answer questions while I'm talking and if I have time to pee and I will also leave some time to ask questions then as well and then finally this is how you can get in touch with us this is how the navigate to Our Help Center where this video will be recorded there is also tons of information there for was that admins pictures any user who uses edlio there are videos help articles all sorts of things like that this is the email address where you can get in touch with my team and then this is where you can reach Sergio and his team out there technical support line are they still free and you can leave voicemails as well so they are always happy should be reached in there so we'll go ahead and get started with the topic today let me go ahead and pull up my website that I'll be using I'm going to go ahead and log in today on Rilo High School we will get started the one of the first things that I wanted to talk about with rylo high school and one feature that you might not be aware of on your Aaliyah website is the school news so edlio does have an application and is called School News by edlio I'm actually going to do one thing in addition to that to highlight the school news app let me go ahead and pull up something Our Help Center about it so that you can see what it looks like on your mobile device alright great so the school news app is the free app patient I'm no we offered to all of our schools on this is available to any school with edlio not just the district and it is free a lot of our users still don't know about this application so I wanted to spend some time talking about it today you can manage that app in a couple of different ways from its main purpose is to pull information from your calendars and your news and alerts and organism into an easy-to-use feed that is kind of like a face theater at Twitter timeline or something if you are a user of a districts to say for example you are in a public school district you would have a b belly to add multiple schools to your school news app at one time so say for example you are a user who has a child of a middle school and a high school in one District in the school news app what you can do is add both of them at the same time so just one application instead of downloading multiple and then their events and news articles be added into 1 easy to digest feed from the administrator side you can get to that a couple of different ways it's going to be underneath an ounce and then it'll also be house. app alerts you can get there that you can get there another way announced after alerts the other way that you can add information to the school news app in addition to posting sing from your calendar where your news and alerts feature I'll talk about that in just a moment is to create these one-time a fallert and this will send a push notification directly to the user's phones that's just a stand-alone message but then any other story that you add to your news and alerts feature is going to be fed into the school news app feed you can also make sure to that is a push notification so let's say for example you write story let's do so this article on its own would already get out of to the feed on your school news app but you can also send it as a push alert if you select Apple ertz and it would send them a link to the new story they other items that always they're getting fed into the school news app are the items that get added to your calendar and remember your calendar events can get added either manually like right here or if you've synced it to a Google Calendar or an office calendar I just wanted to spend a moment highlighting some other resources about the school news app that we have in our help center that we do have a quick start guide for it if you need to distribute this to your parents this is what the icon looks like in the App Store it's called School News by edlio and then we have some other resources about it as well an hour at Leo Health Center this is the website I was talking about initially we have some set of information as well as guide for adding your school's to it we have some screenshots and guides as well for how to make sure to see all of the important information about it definitely take a look at this if you're interested in absorbing excuse me if you're interested in rolling this out to your community again this is free it should be available on your Elliott website right now to start using your not a lie Aaliyah website yet you won't see this if you are alive at Leah website and you don't see this please give us a call at tech support or even though they're quite successful socialist and we can check into that for you the living room couple of other topics I wanted to talk about some other way that you can get in touch with your community that you might not know you have access to we have a feature called the social media manager that's highlighted underneath announced as well so you can get to it by going to run now again and then social media manager and you may not know this but you can directly integrate your Twitter account on your Facebook feeds into your adliya website and you can manage your Twitter and your Facebook directly through your website as a standalone post so you don't need to connect your tweets or your Facebook posts to any kind of Eva Leo post you can manage them independently but just inside you're ugly a site so once you connect them unfortunately I don't have any credentials for this but once you set these up what you'll be able to do is actually right posts liked tweets Facebook you know Facebook posts I'm in you can manage them through this portal right here the other way that you can utilize this is when you write your news in a you save them if you've connected these two channels Facebook Twitter you can also connect them the same news article through the social media manager now one frequently Asked question that I get about this feature is if it's possible to connect Instagram at this time it is not the reason for that is because Instagram does not have a desktop API functionality that edlio can work with Instagram is still primarily mobile-based and they do not have something that allowed edlio to me something that can be edited or administered on a desktop feature like the ugliest EMS unfortunately we cannot integrate Instagram into this social media feed you may still use your Instagram on your Aaliyah website there a widget maybe you have a feed that still post your Instagram and that's still work that's just a separate feature that we use third parties for because again Instagram does not have a desktop API that we can connect our feature to at this time the only options for managing our for Twitter and for Facebook a couple of their items that I wanted to highlight one thing you may not know about your Aaliyah website is that it can integrate directly with Google analytics I actually brought this up in the one of the last webinars that I but I think it's important to highlight again we offer a direct integration with Google analytics this is a huge thing to integrate if you're really wanting to take your Elio site to the next level or you're wanting to get information for school board you're working with a marketing team something like that this is going to be critical we recommend launching something like this as soon as you can into the life cycle of your website so if you just recently watched it at Leah website look into setting this basically the steps weren't involved just signing up for Google analytics we have a link to do that directly in it inside edlio once that set up and you can integrate it into your website we have a guide for that when you're done when you have that information what you'll end up doing is going into settings going into SEO and marketing and put in your Google profile ID into this field right here this is with your subscription there's not an extra fee for this actually all of the info that I've mentioned earlier all of those features a social media manager the school news app this what I'm going to talk about in the next couple of items all of that is included with your base obscure all edlio customers have access to this there's not extra fees for any of them so I highly recommend setting up the Google analytics as soon as you possibly can to get that detailed tracking at basically as soon as you can life cycle of your ugly a website but it can work at any time during in as well the last couple of items that I wanted to talk about our form you may not know this but as Leo has a free fall feature again all of this is included with your subscription and we have recently expanded the form feature to include a wide variety of form from templates the templates that we offer now are quite varied and all of these are free with your ugly subscription the payment ones you will need to speak with us to talk my excuse me I guess I should rephrase the ones that say payments do involve I'm a little bit set up so definitely get in touch with us first so that we can make that work for you but the rest of them are included with your subscription there's no setup required for them and their free and there is why library of them as you can see from these from the so we have a building maintenance bully reporting event registrations this page has job postings in job applications guardian and parent parental consent it has teacher surveys teacher preference registrations all sorts of these are all red milk out for you to use at your convenience and they are included with your subscription to you so if you've ever wanted to consolidate more of your school services like your form underneath one house definitely look at our forms library and see if you can start using some of our internal forms for some of those uses along those lines you may not know this but we have a facilities manager feature as well you can use this to add facilities that your team or your community might use for public use so say for example your District that uses something like an auditorium or gymnasium Community uses out as well you can add that facility with a lot of different information you can have it require approval and reservation ahead of time when you use that feature what will happen is these facilities can be reserved by the public or just internally by teachers you could also think about using the for something like equipment you could use this and call your your equipment facilities individually and then staff can log into their edlio user profiles and Reserve equipment or actual facilities and it can be managed internally again this can also be public posting so if this is something that your community uses like again the gymnasium Community Center if your school district work with your local government to provide Wi-Fi hotspots things like that can absolutely be used with this facilities manager the steps for that are just filling out B information about it it does require a facility managers I'm going to go ahead and send myself to it and I accept reservations to public site I'm going to ask facility and then we can look at it this facility has no schedule reservations for this month excellent in a reserve the facility this required information would be filled out remember Quest that it is for home use I'm requesting it today 4 12 hours actually I'm going to do I'm going to submit request that sends me an email I am the facility manager I might need a refresh this before it actually shows I would probably need to confirm the request before it sends me the reservation request but the ideas presents you can utilize this for a number of different purposes and you might not know it exists last thing that I wanted to mention is some user management tips and tricks you might not know this but if you are a website administrator you do not need to have additional edit app given website administrators have access to everything on the edlio website so I work with customers sometimes who are website administrators and they have edit access to basically every section of the Elia webs in addition to also being a website administrator that is not necessary if you are an admin and you are setting up credentials for someone who needs to be a web site administrator making them the website administrator is all you need to do if you are working with a regular user and that regular user needs to have a edit access to a couple of areas that they manage and that's it that is where you can get into giving them access to certain infections but if you are a website in traitor you only need to have access to website Administration once that's given they can access anywhere on the website I see that kind of come up sometimes and I thought it was worth mentioning said that you as an administrator. worry about giving everything and kind of parsing and splitting hairs towards giving every single edit access permission that's not necessary if their website administrator they already have access to everything I need to give access to anything else another couple of items about user management that I wanted to mention I'm as we've got a few more minutes left we have the ability of ugly have to set up for you Google single sign-on or Microsoft single sign-on to make signing in for your users easier so what that would look like and I'm going to log out to demonstrate this you can see here that I actually it's required that I enter a password what would happen with goo single sign-on is instead of that I would enter in my Google email address it would authenticate my Google credentials and I would only need the login was that information you probably seen this was something like logging in with face Buck logging in with me will or somewhere else work exactly like that for edlio the benefit of that in addition to avoiding having to remember a separate password you would no longer need to set up to after authentication because your Google account would already have two Factor authentication setup for that it can make things much easier for your staff and you as an administrator would no longer have to worry about managing their password but either definitely
