Alright Welcome everyone to the our live webinar discussion of using our Branded App to connect with your school community my name is Storm and I am a Client Success Specialist here at Edlio and I am joined today by Joaquin Carrion he is our Technical Support Specialist who will be supporting us during our webinar today Alright let's get started. So if for some reason you get pulled away or if you have a teammate who isn't able to join us this morning there will be a video available in the Help Center in the transcript will be available there as well. As you have questions throughout the course of our time together this morning you will be able to please put them in the chat and Joaquin will be able to answer those for you throughout the course of our session today. If for any reason we are not able to answer your questions yet we will definitely follow up with you by email shortly following the webinar. Actually I need to add Joaquin as a okay in one moment okay And now we are ready to get started. So I have a few websites here that I am going to show you and then I will demonstrate the app in action so you will see my real phone with the real apps of the schools I downloaded to it so I'll be able to walk you through what it looks like using our brand new app. We are very proud of it. It's becoming very popular with our schools it's a centralized hub where you can share your school spirit that's branded with your logo your colors all of your individual branding. You are able to translate content over thirty-five different languages to reach your whole community. You can send instant push notifications to everyone ensuring that your messages are received. Overall it is a fantastic way to curate your content, connect with your community by consolidating your messaging and oversight of your school communication and giving your school community a central location to access important information and as you'll see through the apps that I show you just how unique each appears in in real life once it's designed and personalized for your school so without further adieu let's look at these sites. I'm going to show you their sites first so you get an idea of what you're going to see in there live. So Miguel High School is our demo site you will see what this is what it looks like in the desktop site I'm also going to take you to the newly launched app for Lighthouse Christian Academy Academy this is what their site looks like as a desktop so you can just get a look at the brand name the colors the layout and how that will translate into the app itself and then the Montour School District. So Lighthouse Christian is a single site and Montour is a district. I'm going to be able to show you how the app operates for both single sites as well as districts with multiple sites. Alright so now I am going to take you to get back here going to stop sharing for just a moment and what you were going to see is my phone it just takes me a second to share this give me one moment let me get that for you Thank you for being patient it's takes just a minute to get this situated and ready for you. If you have any questions already please put those in the chat for Joaquin Alright here comes my phone mirroring again. Thank you for being patient. Here we go. Alright so you are able to see these three were actually four example apps that I have here for you the first is the Edlio Miguel School District our demonstration site and then the Lighthouse Christian Lions and Montour School District so what I'm going to do is be on my phone right now to demonstrate what you can expect through each of these apps so the first one and I'll take you to where is the Lighthouse Christian Academy. You can choose to have your app have your show the bars in between each of these icons or or not the school has elected to have these each of their icons with the surround. Up at the top here you are able to click over to this side menu. And on through this menu you can access the the features that you can see on the the front of the app that front facing part and you can just click through and see exactly what each of these bring up. I'm demonstrating showing the calendar you can access the directory quicklinks that are available to the school each of these take you to the individual elements of the campus, of the sites themselves. You can choose to have your, as you're designing your app what you want included in each of these elements I realized it's a little bit of me talking and also trying to be on my phone at the same time so thank you for for your graciousness as I am talking and demonstrating in real time This is a real school in action with our new app I'm going to show you you see how I tap the menu here to bring that down the contact us tools you see here on the lower section of this menu here your families can choose to click on the map I'm also clicking on the language choice so you can see just how you can switch your app to being in a different language the language of your visitors choice switch this back here so again this is also with you as you swipe to the side you see that list of items continuing is part of this menu. If I click this actually you can also choose the icons at the very bottom of the app itself if I click on this icon it will take you to the the mobile version of the site itself so it's something that's special about the app and actually critical to it and understanding that what you update on your website is pushed out through your app I am going to switch us over to another one to take a look at Montour okay so here this district has their individual schools selectable through the front of their app. If I want to know what's going on at the elementary school I can choose the elementary school to receive notification from through through the app itself go back to the district when I click on my school swipe it up right there I've already selected it I'm going to show you in a minute how to select the schools too. Again that menu selecting what is important to you on your district's app. My alerts so this where I selected where I enabled push notifications to come through to my phone you can choose whichever you want to activate or deactivate. If I don't notifications if I do that's up to your user Quicklinks similar to the school that I just showed you but again campuses and districts can determine which quicklinks to appear on the app itself So again just giving you an idea of what these events look like if I wanted to click more information the calendar comes up with examples of all of those all of those news events Alright I want to show you specifically, this is another example at that we have so when you download or when your users download your Branded App for the first time and they're in this setup space this is where you can at the bottom of the screen choose to set up now the schools that you your families choose to follow or you can skip that set up if I want it to that right now I can choose which schools I know that I wanted to use let's go back to the Miguel's School District very similar here the way that schools can be selected the ones that you would like to receive the notifications from all right again I'm just taking you on a tour of how either different schools that are all available through the app for this District looking specifically at the high school calendar now I can choose to have my alerts for individual schools or for the district and again here to the mobile site contacts you can link your staff directory you can create a page through your site to feed directly through to your app and again I am taking you on a drive-thru tour both of these live sites to show how again Brandon in the header is possible to the personalized for your individual site student resource again when you work with the project manager you will determine what you want to be push through to your at everything that you update on your site connected to your app can be found by Design another way of connecting contact information by linking got in the footer all right I'm going to stop sharing for a moment and take you back to examples of what other headers can look like Dodge steering for just a moment again thank you for being patient while I while I do that it's just a second alright so we are back at the screen where you can see examples of the degree of power analyzation that comes along with with designing one of one of our with the Branded app for your school I wanted to be sure to pull just an array different looks and feels to give you an idea of just how specific and personalized the apps already at is for each of the year for each of your schools the loading screen again here are some examples of obscure rules that can give you an idea or get you get you thinking about what your app can look like what type of images you would use your logo the placement all of those details and then what might your icon like you saw on my phone just a few moments ago exactly what it looks like on a real life phone and a real time but again part of the design process is deciding what your school icon looks like for your app so we can all just Linger on this for a moment to give you an idea of what your logo could look like as an icon for your app the loading screens and again the headers in the app that in the apps that I just showed you saw that your header at the top the loading screen is that those those are those forces you all will determine then you saw the icons for those particular schools alright working in the chat are there questions that I can answer or there any elements of the app that many of our participants would like to revisit or see see me demonstrate in a different way or is there something that I might might show again if anyone has specific questions oh I do see a question in the chat is there an additional cost to an able to ask for our district it is an add-on feature and I will get your name and make sure to follow up with you after they die webinar Joaquin is typing right now but I'm going to switch back from the chat if there is an element of the act that anyone would like to see again please put that question in the chat I am going to share my phone again and again drive-through once more just to to reiterate what some of these features contain I'm going to go ahead and stop sharing door moment I'm going to share my phone again it's coming and here they are showing tell your family's can go directly to maps MI they can choose to see the bus routes anything that is specific to your school that you know your family is need to have access back to news event click on menus something that your families will likely be very interested in seeing back over to take a look at parent resources this is an example of what does campus has chosen to include again this is all acceptable right through that contact you can choose to have your news and events at the very bottom here that's what I just clicked on you can select your school from the menu it will prompt you do those to take those steps and you can also choose to continue to have those scroll all right I'm going to stop sharing again unless walking are there any questions or elements that any of our participants would like to return to Al Green here with okay all right and just Stephenville I see you there we will follow up with you for sure all right I'm going to take us back to the presentation itself again thank you for are your patients going between phone and screen some examples here all right so we are nearing the end of our our time want to point out that I'm sure branded school I'm sorry what's your school's brand it at goes live it will go live in both the App Store and the Google Play Store your web admin or who determine what information to publish so if you are here today you are very likely or web and then if you're not yet an edlio client we we hope you will be but the getting the content that you choose specific weight to go out through your app is Para and working with your project manager to determine what your apple look like is one thing but everything that you put on your website that you choose to have pushed out through your app is up to you as as a web admin again I want to highlight how the our new branded mobile app really is your community's complete and Central resource for information it's available 24/7 in the palm of their hand phones are not often very far away from their owners and and we have been very proud to harness the power of that with an app that reflects your school's branding and the the specific things that you know are key to your community again it's a centralized Hub where you can know translate content and get get through do all of your families in the language that they that they speak and you can reach them through their language and we're very proud of that you can send instant push notifications again I showed how you can set that as a user and then also as a web and then you will be able to to to update those on your site itself if you are interested in more information and about the Branded app for your school or your District please reach out to your client success specialist but we are also making a note in the chat of two who you are asking your question and we will follow up with you to make sure that we connect you with your DSS all right now I do not want to leave until I know we have answered every question that we can right now or if there is any other element that anyone would like demonstrated Joaquin are there any question things that people might like to see again we have bet it with a question that they have some quick links on on the on the main site and on the website and they are asking if they can updated them selves on the app or if they would depend with tech support will also be updated on the app that's a good question so your your app won't have different links than the site itself updating your quick link I'd have to look at your your specific site you should be able to update those yourself on there maybe a it says where you're not able to but will follow up with you individually and get into the to the admin dash of your sight to see about updating goes quick links but whatever the quick link is on your site that where the app will also take a user all right any other questions that I might be able to answer okay so I am going to hold this screen here for you again to highlight how The Help Center is always available your client success specialist is your go-to person for all things site-related not only getting you connected to to develop your own branded app for your site look for anything that you need on a day-to-day basis any feature that you need help with any questions at all and that
