Welcome to the Teachers Overview webinar. I am Chris. I am a Client Success Specialist. And today I'm going to be going over how to, for teachers that are new to create a page. And also for teachers that are familiar with our Edlio website on how to update your page, add and remove content. Also adding things to your calendar and your class assignments. So as always for each webinar, this will be recorded and added to our help center. So if you go over to help.edlio.com, you can find this webinar or any past or future webinars on that will be hosting. You can find recorded. So I am going to go ahead and get started. Also to I just want to add, that we do have a member of support here from our tech support team. So if you have any questions please feel free to ask in the chat and they will be able to answer any questions that you may have. If we're not able to get your question we will definitely reach back out to you via email, to answer that question or any other questions that you may have. So, awesome I'm going to go ahead and get started. So we are going to sign in here. And as you can see, if you're not familiar this is going to be our admin dashboard or our teachers page dashboard, or our user account dashboard if you will. So, as you can see right now I'm logged in as a teacher. It differs if you are an admin, you're going to see a little bit more as far as if I come over here in our hamburger menu as far as different features that we have. Since I am logged in as a teacher we're going to see just a few of our base features here. So you can click on any of these modules to take you here or like a quick before on the hamburger. We can go over here and we can see all of the modules that we have listed in our dashboard. So before that I'm going to go ahead and start right here in a couple of these kind of quick access areas. So will start over here with "Help" you'll see this drop-down menu. If there is any questions or concerns that you may have you can always click right here to the Help Center tab. This will take you to our website: help.edlio.com. This has many features, as far as the webinar I was mentioning of along with help articles with all of our different features that we have listed here in alphabetical order. So if there is anything that you wanted to know, or you're having issues with please feel free to check here. Or also to reach out to your client success specialist. If you don't know who that person is you can email at clientsuccess@edlio.com and let them know know that you have some questions and your client success member will get in contact with you pretty shortly. So I am going to go ahead and jump back here. The next tab that I have, is he contact Edlio support. So if your site is live and you have launched, you will be able to contact Elio support this is a direct way to contact our support team. If your site isn't live you're not going to see this here. Don't fret like I was saying earlier you can reach out to your client success specialist and they can get in contact with being able to create a case for you and reach out to support, but if we do have tech support readily available and your site is launched you can come over here if you can create a case. Also right here this will also take you to the help center as far the Articles and other features that we may have. And then right here if you do need to create a case. You can create one right here by clicking this button, or also to if you need you for whatever reason get in to get into contact with the support team this is our line. And this timeframe will show your actual time zone, so that will reflect that specific time. Cool! So I am going to now show you the account side. So right here if you click on this dashboard button, it's going to take it back to our dashboard, but we're going to go to right now is our profile. So as a teacher, I have my account setup here. If I click on this button. This basically right here,  this layout gives us just a breakdown of what we have in our profile. If I click right here on edit profile. This will take us if we need to have any changes far as: our name, our position, or specific title. You can change that here, as well as your email. Say for instance if there's any issues with misspelling or anything you can change that right here. And has a button where you can hide the emails from the public if that is needed. So we'll click on save, it's going to take us back home. Cool, I'm going to jump over one more time, just to kind of show you. So you have a couple of things right here you can edit your profile picture. So just by clicking on that to pencil. Excuse me. So you can drag and drop or you can select this photo from your computer: Google Drive and these listed features right here. We'll select computer and we will go right here. Cool! And we will add this photo right here. Then it also gives you the ability to kind of crop your picture more if you needed to kind of get more Center you can do that as well. So we are just going to click on crop and save and now we have a picture set for a profile. Awesome. So now, I'm going to just click right here and if you click on your dashboard title right here this is just going to take your homepage. So if you're wondering how to get back there just click on that and that will take you here, or you can click like I said you prior on the dashboard icon right there and I will take you back to your homepage as well. So now let's go ahead and start building a page. So we're going to go over to our hamburger menu, we are going to go to page management and pages. Awesome! So right now we see my profile page or at least on the dashboard side Mr. Chris Mayfield. So if I click on this public link, this is going to take us to our site. So right now it's a pretty basic site, pretty basic page. As you can see I have some classes and then my profile picture and basically my profile and also to where I can subscribe to my class and I will go into more detail with that. So right now we are going to add a page. Before I do that, I mentioned to you earlier for teachers that you do have you can click on view deleted pages. For any pages that you may have had and you are removing that's going to be stored there, but for now we're going to be adding a page. So I am going to click blank page and we can just do bio. So this right here is just going to be our page layout. So it has where we can have a title add content to the page and also a add button where we can add content, photos and files. So I'm going to go ahead and add some text. [typing] Cool. And this also has this collapsible button. What's this is, is that allows you to kind of have a Dropbox on your page. So I'll build one now without, and then the next one I'll add one with. So you can kind of see the different features with that. Also to with adding any content.  here we have different features, where you can bold or italicized, you can change the alignment. You can have bullet or number list and also to you can change font color. This right here is for any specific hyperlink that you want to add. Say for instance, we add right there and you just add the title there so it will have a hyperlink right there for you. Also to we have right here if you need to add any type of source code you can add that there with that button, and also to text formatting. So anytime say for instance if you have any text or something that you pulled and copying from a website or a file document you can use the setting right here in that will clear format and that basically just clears up any type of text and spacing and we'll get it to the correct format that you have currently on your page. So it won't look all kind of jumbled up and messy, and also too you can change your font size. You can have any underlining, any other line in a headers blocks anything right here with this section and also to we have where you can create a table. These features right here where we can add any type of video and I'll show pictures and with the picture you can also add any type of alignment, whether it be left, center or right. So you have cool options here. So we will go ahead and add that. Then we will add another picture as well. Again to it gives you the ability to drag and drop any photos or you can just upload from your file system. You also have the others listed from Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft onedrive. So we will just pull from my computer again and we will go ahead and add that and then you'll see right here. So it populated a missing alt text. What that is, is anytime you have your alt text turned on for ADA compliance. It is going to require you to put some type of alternative text. With this you can keep it super simple and we can put teacher pic. Cool! So that's just describes what is in the actual picture. Now we'll click save. And now that is set there And also to right here, this is for if you wanted to add a caption on the actual picture. So we will go ahead and put [typing] Mr. Mayfield. Awesome. Just like any picture right, we can also add any file that we want to add. So again just before you can drag-and-drop or you can upload. So we're going to go ahead and go to my computer then we're going to upload my sample syllabus. Great! So you can have this right here where you can leave it and it's just going to be a simple PDF that you can add. Or we can click on these three dots. This will allow us, one to change our filename. We can also for the display options you can have to where you can make it from small medium or to a large size. So we are just going to click right there and now you can see that populates an actual image of a syllabus. To where it's living on our page now. So go ahead and we will save draft. And after you save draft, you can also click here on publish. And so now we go to our page you'll see here now we have our image. Our bio and now we have our syllabus listed here, along with our class as well and then if you click into the show that you can also see where you actually download onto your computer and you can also to have the capabilities of printing it. So we will go ahead and jump back over to our page. We are just going to build some more right now. So now let's go ahead and we will go back to our dashboard. and I'm going to show you how to add a class. So I'm going to go to our hamburger menu and we're going to go to classes and again to you want to use the module buttons you're more than welcome to do so, just giving you an option to show you both. So right now you're going to see a couple. This is our classes. So right now we have our Google Classroom integration. So for remote learning this is a very great and awesome tool to use. With remote learning kind of being in the Forefront of where we are right now, this is a definite great tool to use. So if your admin has Google Classroom integration set you can create your classes via Google classroom and this will get pulled into your your classes account. So keep that in mind whenever you want to do this. And if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out and we'd be happy to answer any of those questions regarding Google Classroom. So you can see here I have a couple of classes. I have one for the current term, and I have for the next fall upcoming term. I am also added to music and science.  So you can see that right there. So when you want to add a class, you can just click here to if you have your Google Classroom set up you can just click yes, and that will integrate and pull that class you have created on to your term. So right here since we already have this I am going to click on edit class. Where you do have any type of class and terms living it is going to be here in the edit class. Where you can edit and add any information. Again to if there is any specific class files you may have. You can click or you can drag here. We can add our syllabus here. So you can see it's living right there as well. Also to you have, say for instance you have another teacher that is going to be helping out with that course. You can click here and it will give you a list of all the teachers that are in your admin system. We will go ahead, we already have this set so go ahead and click save. Cool and then you can see once I go back to it we have a this sample living there. So we will click save again and then you can see also to that we have one assignment. So any assignments that our populated and created will be living here. So you can see here we have a solar system test. Cool and then if you want to add any new assignment I just click right here and then create our assignment there. Awesome So I'll go ahead and jump out of here and then if you also keep in mind to whenever you try to save any assignment title with no given no fields being filled out or populated it's going to give you error message. So just keep in mind any time when you wanted to do that as far as creating a class you will have to populate with any specific information in those fields. So go ahead and say galaxy test [typing] [typing] Cool and then if you have any assignment files you can create there and we're going to click save. Sorry! So also to you have to a havea date. So we're going to go ahead and put this one schedule this for 22nd, now we click save. And it should be, sorry taking time loading. Awesome and now we see our assignment is there for Monday, June 22nd. So that's how we create our classes. Again to you can always go back to classes, say for instance have any or we need to change this or updated you'll see now we have two assignments living in our classes for whatever reason if you need to edit you can always click on the edit in Google. And this will take you over to your actual Google classroom. Where you can edit and update from there as well. And again to if you need to add any new assignment you can definitely add it there as well. So we'll go back to your dashboard and now we're going to jump to announce. So first I want to jump over to contact list. So right here this is where contact list is. So as you saw previously if we have anyone that is subscribed to page. This will populate any information, or populate the for their information as far as first name, last name, email and their specific title as far as parent Guardian and then also students name. So that will populate in our contact list. So right now you should see in ours no one subscribed, but if you did have someone to subscribe it would live right there. And also to you can click on the three dots to edit. So this is for more like individuals. So you can add to a single contact or you can add in bulk. Adding in bulk just allows you out if you have a list you click to download CSV template. Where you can add the information there that you'll be able to upload it there which you could do like a mass bulk. So we have those in our emails it allows us to pull when we create a new email. It allows us, one we have our different layouts that we can choose from. So I am going to select this layout right here. And like I was mentioning with the contact list with we have our recipients right here so you can add existing if you just added a couple or like I was mentioning with the CSV template you can add mass bulks there. So we'll just add one. and then you can add your message right there to. You also have delivery options. You can send now or you can send later so we'll schedule that and then you can click in the Dropbox and I will allow you to add the date and the specific time if you would like to send out that newsletter and also in your message anything that you create, just like earlier I mentioned you have the option of bolding Italicizing or underline. Also create by changing the font color and also adding any hyperlink may want to. So we'll go ahead and add that. Cool, and then you can see that hyperlink with you as well. Excuse me, and you can also change the text alignment to whether it be left, center or right you have the capability of changing that as well. Then also to we will jump over here if you would like to preview it before submitting it and click on preview. So that's what your email sender will look like right there. So we will go ahead and return to pages. Cool, awesome and then we'll save and exit. Great! So now let's go over and we're going to go to our plan. So it will start calendar. So this is a calendar for your personal page. You can add any event or create an add an event that you like. So we're going to start with, let's go to and will say from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.. And you have the capabilities I wanted to make it where it's no time limit or you can also say for instance if this is a weekly thing. We will say it's going to be a weekly thing every Friday Lunch party. Cool. We'll say this is going to be in every classroom [typing] say Pizza-Ramen party. Then you can add any additional details that you'd like. Also to if there's any type of link that you'd like to add you can add that to. Then if you want to add any files and pictures you also have that capability here. So if I click right here Apple. So we'll go ahead and add the alt text right quick. Awesome and the we'll click save. So now you see that we have it every week listed a lunch party. So if I go over here refresh my page now you'll see we have our syllabus. Our class that we have listed for the strength Sarah and now we will see on our side navigation we have our lunch party that's listed every week. that will show us the image that we have posted and the information on our Pizza-Ramen party. So let's go ahead and let's go to Media to any photos that we may have that we want to add to our page will be living here. So once we have an album created it will allow us to, one add any photos to each particular album or you can just keep it where we're just uploading just a image. So we'll go ahead. So you can also to you can control click or command click to add multiple images at a time or you can just do them individually, but how this will show on your page this will show as a shuffle. With that though, you're able to pause and resume on a picture If you want to stay on it. You can pause on that image or you can just allow to shuffle through. Cool and then you can click here to see all your photos, again to we have to add our alternate text. Buses. Then if you click right here on next it will take you to the next picture. [typing] Awesome! Cool and now we have that set and then also to it has it where you can rotate, revert and also to has it set for like thumbnails. Or if you need to remove it that and you also have the capabilities of editing the caption. So we'll go ahead and do that there. Cool so now that we have that set. We will jump back over here we are going to go back to our page. Give me one second. Awesome. So know when I go to my page, now you'll see that we have photo album living there and if I look on my side panel, you'll see it created here as well. So just keep in mind every time we're building that is going to be nested on our side panel or side navigation. So you'll have each specific area created there and then you can see the images. So that's showing as a thumbnail dependent upon the image size it's going to populate how but take a photo album it's going to be it's going to I have that display. So just keep that in mind and if you have any questions again to please feel free to reach out to our Tech Support Team or your Client Success Specialist. Great let's go to go back to your dashboard and if there's any particular post that you may want to keep what add you have the capabilities of doing that here. So say for instance any type of whether it be text link photo or file or video just like we did with our pages are you have the capability of doing so here. You can add text [typing] [typing] Then you have the capability of posting it or where you would like to post it so your personal page or if you have any classes set up you can add it to that so I'll just put that on my personal page and I'll click save. Again to just like any of our other areas we were able to add any type of text or content you have the capability of changing the font format, color and inserted any type of hyperlink. So now you'll see that lives here. Again to you can do that with a link, you can also do a photo Again to with the alternate alternate text you'll need to add text title.
