All right Thank you so much for joining me this morning or afternoon depending where you are we are. I am super excited to get to there are new branded app with all of you and show you what it can do, give you a look at it, it's brand new and we're really proud of it power its capability and its potential as a tool for you to connect thoroughly with your community in multiple ways. My name is Storm Vance I'm with the Client Success team here at Edlio and joining me for technical support today will be Raul Gutierrez he will be in the chat helping out and we'll also be joined by Daniel Benson who is also on the Client Success team and will be able to answer questions as well this will be recorded so if you miss anything or if you want to share it with a colleague know that it will be available in The Help Center once we conclude just a little while after we're done today and if you didn't catch this before we began when you need to submit a question you'll tap on the Q and A panel and we'll be answering those about the course of the webinar If we don't get to your question or don't have an answer for you yet for any reason we'll follow up with you individually shortly after the webinar. As a reminder you always have access to our Help Center and this is the email address for that help at Edlio.com and Client Success if you don't know who your Client Success Specialist is email clientsuccess at edlio dot com, and we will make sure you're connected with them and tech support is also always available by phone okay so let's take a look at this new app in action I am going to be visiting Miguel High School for this today okay and here is Miguel High School and it just out of curiosity have you been able to hear me for just a little bit here I just want to make sure that everyone can hear me yes I have been able to okay so now we are seeing our demo site Miguel High School so this is the site that is going to be the one that is the the main school site for the app that we're going to see so what I'm going to do here I'm actually going to stop screen sharing for just a moment in order to be able to share my own phone so you'll be able to see what the app looks like in action so give just a moment I'm going to stop sharing and the next thing you'll see will be the app on the screen so can we just a moment can just a second thank you for being patient okay and now you should see the Miguel School District app this is our demo of, our demo app for our new branded app and I am going to just take you on a tour of all of the features it has and I'll also once we finished taking a look at this I'll show you some examples of what other potential header images might look like what your icons might be so just if you have questions about the functionality as we continue please put all of those questions in the chat so it's okay I keep thinking I can click on this with my mouse I am actually on my phone now looking at are at are at so. you see the header you can choose the images that are on the earth that are part of the header for your for your app and then each of these icons go directly to this element of your site so everything that you post edit add to your admin dash comes through on the app now I'm going to go back here I'm going to show you how you can click on events and the events that you have in your calendar pop up in the app you can add things like you're you're welcome message quick links to get to every area of your site I'm going to click on maps and so this is just another example of an additionally helpful feature that you can can include I'm going to go back to the home screen all right so again this is the grid view you can also choose to have your app setup in list view up here in the right-hand corner this is where you can also access each of the features that are available to you of your website through your app so all of the icons that I just clicked on you can also get here I want to point out a few key elements of the app right now when I click down here mouse and touch here so down here on my alerts this is where when I click here you can choose to enable your push notifications what type of news if you don't want to know what happens every day you could turn that on and off so you can definitely personalize the content your your user can personalize the content that they that they need and I'm just a moment I'll show you how on a district site you can select the school going to go back here if I wanted to just visit the website itself I could click website and I am going to see the website in action so if I go back to my app here language I can choose the language I want to experience my app in and the mobile version of the website so these are all of the languages that are available to your community members so this is a fast way to be able to give them the ability to toggle between the languages choose the language that that they need and some of these links I already clicked on to give you an idea that you could still access all of and again I'm trying to giving you a drive-through tour of these elements we know that it is a powerful tool because your families having their their phones on them all the time and this is a way that everything you need them know about your school through your site can come directly fed through this app all right and I am just continuing to show you some of the some of the links. I'm here at the bottom you see the calendar Parent Portal homework directions I just want to draw your attention down here I just clicked on the footer and see how it brings up the calendar you can also just like on the main site select which calendar you want to see so that is very helpful okay and then also up here this is to actually this is the mobile site where you could get back to your your campus all right I'm going to stop share for just a moment to show you this is single site's app and what I'm going to switch my screen for just a moment to show you is what it would look like if you were part of a district so the view on the app for families to be able to choose what school they want to have that the information for so let me pause for just a moment and I'm going to get to that version okay so you should be able to see how up here at the top this is a district so if I want to as a family select this elementary school and this middle school you can see how you can just toggle between these choices and then choose to go to to those apps so I'm going to pause again and bring you back to the original presentation to show are you what some of the personalization can look like for your app in while I'm doing this if you have questions please please put those in the chat so we can be sure to answer those I'm going to pause for just another second here and I'm going to share my screen again okay so you should be able to see my okay I don't think I have it give me one second okay here we are thank you sorry going between the screen and the phone it adds a step so thank you for being patient all right so we are back at the original presentation this is a look what some example headers can look like so think about your school's logo your images the ways you share those with your families and your students this I wanted to be sure to in addition to the example of the demo site that we have and demo app to give you a look at some images of okay this what it looks like when it's you know really colorful and your personalized for your campus so I'm just going to let this be here for a moment as you look at some of these images and again this is all going to be recorded so all of the features that I have talked about you know will definitely be be there for you and then for your for your loading page when your families pull up your app this is a look at what that might look like for your school so again your branding your logo everything that makes your school unique this is the face of that app that your families encounter I thought that it would be nice to have some of those real world examples for you to see in addition to you know the the demo site which we're very proud of but these are colorful and personalized and I think can give you a good idea of what your schools app might look like and I also wanted to include this image just to give you the the idea of your icon so as your school has an app on the phone what that can look like it's another just piece of communication something that is tangible that your families encounter they become accustomed to it's you it represents your campus and you just really aligns all of your efforts with your branding and communication and efforts that you make to be clear and just completely communicative with with your families all the time so that is a look at it again the new app that we are so proud of and so excited to be able to share with with all of you and we are available for questions right now I think we're actually a little bit ahead of time that went pretty quickly is there anything that anyone wants to see or has any questions about I have not seen the chat Raul is there anything that I should go back to that people are curious about yeah so some of different things that you can add to the school news app oh okay sure so let me take me take you back to Miguel here I'm going to stop sharing and pull the app back up give me just a moment actually I'm going to go back to the go back to Miguel itself because I'm going to share what that was not it just a second here okay so the question was what can you add what additional things can you add to the app from the dash and the answer is pretty much everything you can choose what you want to show on your app if you do decide to add the app that is a process in the design process that you'll discuss with your with the team that is working with you on all of those components but you will update your app through the admin dash of your site and you can decide what you want to include from your side onto the app itself I'm getting that back up so I can answer questions that are specific to the the app Raul what's something else I want to make sure it's I can't see the chat when I'm sharing my screen so I just want to make sure that I don't miss anything that I can address while we have our time question is coming up is how how to obtain this app once it's live for users families will go to the App Store whether it's Apple or Android and they will see it there I'm going to get the app backup because it is fun to share with you all I'm going to stop so I can show my phone again okay okay and you're the app is again again thank you for your patience as I go between two screens in the phone it's completely separate you are seeing my real-life phone in real time it so I just thought that would be most helpful for you to see how it actually looks and feels so these icons you can personalize that is what your work with your your team to do you can decide what the icons are whether you here to be a grid here or just have the icons laid out if you wanted instead of a grid a list that's possible too I keep trying to click on the screen in this list of resources here you decide what all of these are so you may choose to have your Athletics and Fine Arts or PTA or any of the the portals that you know your families need to go to all of this is personalizable so that it's unique to your campus and if I am not answering that question completely thoroughly definitely let Raul know so we can follow up with you individually this being a demo for a demo it's again completely meant to show you what it does for sure but it will be what's unique for you which is what actually be but you can see my my mouse you will decide what goes on the app itself other questions for me could you show the website where you're able to edit the branded app ok so this is Miguel High School everything that I've been showing you this is the site that is connected to the demo app that I've been sharing when you need to add anything to your website you go to your admin side of your site so your admin dash the way that you're accustomed to seeing it if you are a current Edlio client if you are not currently with Edlio this is what the admin dash looks like and this is where you can add edit anything that you need to for your site when you edit your site you are getting your app if I added a calendar event right now that's going to be added to the calendar that your families can see on the app if I sent a anything that you needed to add if I edited Pages edited the information for sign up for the cheer clinic that's going to show up on the page that they access on the certainly like the mobile version of the site but also that would get pushed through to the app if they have those notifications do it again anything that you edit here that you choose to have pushed through to your app will show up on if that's what you will do through here Raul I can see Miguel here so I said that Raul what other questions that might there be for me Jun wants to know what a page looks like on the app so okay let me go back I go back to the app here it's just a second to do this it's coming okay so we're back at the app here so I go to I'm going to choose clubs I just clicked on that icon that grid and it's going to take me to stage dig another page yeah we're saying the mobile version of the site here okay all right we've got it 5 minutes left what other questions might need have and I really appreciate you bearing with me as I switch from screen to screen here I'm coming back going to share this letter examples again can't click through back here to get to are the header examples and also the loading page examples and to give an idea of what the icons can look like again we are very proud of the functionality comes with this app it we are confident that giving families one central location to access this important information the way that you can consolidate the messaging and oversight of school Communication in really just representing your school's Community with your unique branding and reaching your families where they are which is on their mobile devices recap what happens once your brand adapt goes live once it's complete it's live in the App Store and the Google Play Store your community downloads the app to their mobile devices and see your web and then decide what to publish and then from there you connect with the community where it's all of the information that you are posting to your site that can get pushed through to the app that's exactly
