Slide transitions and shuffle behavior on the public site

1. Navigate to the shuffle you wish to edit.

2. Tap the slide transitions button to open the Slide Transitions page.

Slide Transitions

The Slide Transitions page allows you to modify how the slideshow appears on the public website.

At the top is a preview showing how the changes you make will change the slideshow on the public website. Changes made here will not appear on the live site until you Save.

You can tap View on Live Site at the bottom of the page to see how the shuffle currently appears on the public website. The page will open in a new browser tab or window. You may need to refresh the page to see recent changes.

On the Slide Transitions page you can:

Slide Order

By default, slides appear in the order shown in the thumbnails. You can change their order by drag and drop.

Or you may choose to show the slides on the public website in a random order by tapping the Random Order button on the left.

If Random Order is turned on, the order of your slides here will not have any influence on the order they display on the public website.

Navigation Style

Viewers may wish to jump to a specific slide or view a certain slide again. Choose Navigation Controls to determine what method they can use to do that.

We encourage you to play with these methods in the preview to help you choose what is best for your website.

  • None - viewers will not be able to jump to any other slide
  • Arrows - viewers can move one slide at a time forward and back
  • Carousel - shows thumbnails of all slides across the bottom, viewers can tap on them to view
  • Numbered Slides - viewers can jump to specific slides by tapping the corresponding number
  • Dots - viewers can jump to specific slides by tapping the corresponding dot

If you select Carousel, Numbered Slides or Dots you can set the position of the navigation controls to be on the top, bottom, left or right side of the slideshow.

Duration

The duration controls how long each slide is shown before it changes to the next slide.

Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust how many seconds each slide is visible. The preview plays with your chosen duration.

Transition

Tap the Transition dropdown menu to see all the different effects that can be used to change from one slide to another.

If you select Random then each time the slide changes a different transition effect is chosen at random from the list.
