Hello everyone, thank you so much for joining us today. I'm so happy to go over some of the ways that you can communicate with your parents and community members with our content management system to keep a channel of communication and engagement going. As always we have a technical support representative in the chat who will be answering any questions that you may have, so feel free to answer your questions, ask your questions I mean, in the chat box. This webinar will be recorded and uploaded to our help center. I'm going to go ahead and log in. And first I want to go over our email sender. The email sender is available to both web admins and teachers. And it allows you to send mass emails to your parents and community members. You can add calendar events, news, photos, and text, and there are several layouts that you can choose from. And before I begin to show this feature I do want to note we have a help center article about best practices and some tips and tricks for sending emails, so make sure you check out that article which is available in our help center. And there's also a link inside the email sender, the email sender feature itself. So to access the email sender let's go into announce and then email sender. And you can read about the best practices by clicking on the link up here. And by the way you can click directly on the announce module from your dashboard or you can use the hamburger menu on the upper left. And if you have already sent out a bunch of emails, you'll be able to see a brief overview of the emails that have been sent. If you're a web admin you can filter this out by emails sent from your organization, just yourself, or everyone. You can also search for an email. And from the three dots on your right you can view the recipients. You can make a copy of the email and also view your sender reports. This report will show the number of recipients, who it was sent to, the open rates, clicked links if any. And we also have this bar graph that displays how many emails were delivered, how many emails were opened, clicked, or not delivered at all. You can also click on the review email to see what was sent. And under actions you can download a CSV file of all the email messages. And you can also change the information that appears on your outgoing emails under manage setup. Keep in mind that as a web admin you can send emails from your own email address or from your organization. Let's go ahead and start writing our email. You have the following layout options to choose from. I'm going to use the layout that allows me to include both my news and calendar events. And once you've selected a layout you can start adding content. You can select a section and simply click on that section that you want to add content to, and you get like a editing toolbar where you can format the text and basically modify the look of your content. You can add lik header text, you can add hyperlinks, we can like change the alignment, there's clear formatting, and if you like working with source code you have that option here as well. Now, when you add events you choose the calendar where you'd like to pull these event from. And you can then cherry pick the events that you'd like to display on your email and you can choose as many as you'd like. Events are displayed in chronological order. Now I'm going to add news. And just like we did with the events we choose the category of where we'd like to pull those new stories from. And you can choose as many news announcements as you'd like. And with these you can order them in any way you'd like by dragging and dropping the six dots on your left. After you've finished your email, you can save your email as a draft and come back to it later or you can preview the email. You'll see a preview of the browser version as well as the mobile version. Now if you're ready to send your email to your parents and community members, we can go ahead and continue. If you have a contact list that is saved in the admin site, you can add those existing contacts. You can also upload a CSV file, and you also have the option to enter the email address manually. Let's type in our subject. You have two delivery options, you can go ahead and have the email be sent now, or you can designate a specific date and time that you'd like for the emails to go out. Next we select a category. Recipients have the option to unsubscribe from specific categories except for the emergency category. So let's go ahead and send this email now. And as you can see, it has been sent. The next thing I want to cover is our social media manager. And you can post to Facebook and Twitter directly from the admin site, I'm going to use a different admin site for the purpose of showing you how this works. So let's go into announce, social media manager, and once you've connected your your accounts you can start posting your messages. You can add photos, videos, and a message. And just like the email sender you can choose to post the message now or select a specific date and time for it to push out. And I also want to note that when you post your news and announcements, so under announce, under your news and alerts, you do have the option to push a news story through both the social media manager and the email sender. You can do that by hovering over a specific news alert and if you click into announce, you have the following options to push through. You can select social media manager or you can add it on the email sender. And now I also have some really exciting news about our latest family engagement solution.
