Good afternoon everyone! Welcome to our My Edlio webinar for today. My name is Sara and I'm with the Client Success Team here at Edlio. I also have a Technical Support Representative joining me. If there any questions that you have that might come up during this go ahead and just pop them in the chat and we will do our best to answer them and the Technical Support Representative with me today, Raul, will also be helping answer those questions. Today we're going to be talking about pages. I wanted to go ahead and dive right into making sure that everyone has access to the pages that they need to be editing. So if you're an administrator this isn't going to really critical portion of the webinar. You might be wondering how do I make sure that certain users at the school have access to the pages that they need to manage because every user has personal pages. Every teacher has personal pages and that's how they can manage their personal content. However, there might be some users that need to have access to category pages as well and I'll definitely get into the difference between category pages and personal pages later on in the webinar. Category pages are where you manage your school specific content and there might be certain users that need to have access to those sections and you might be wondering how they should get access to them. So I'll go ahead and show that, so if you're logged in as an administrator -- just make sure that you go ahead and go over to Site Management and User Management. We're going to go ahead and find our teacher that needs to have administrator access to something or just needs to have edit access to something. We're going to go ahead and click on their name and you can see here in their profile the sections, protected areas, and categories they already have access to. If you want to give them more access you can go into Edit Profile. Now, categories and sections is where you can find where they are either staff or have edit access. Edit access enables the user to modify the section's pages and the files photos, videos, other content inside. Let's go ahead and give this teacher the access that she needs to another section. We're going to go ahead and make sure that he has access to the Journalism Club. We're going to go ahead and do webinars. We can also do teacher resources. Here are the additional categories that you can give access to. These are other News catgories, , event categories, certain site wide features, some internal features that she can have access to and then password protected areas, also. Going to go ahead and save. And now, go ahead and log in as this teacher, navigate to Page Management and then Pages. Inside Category Pages, these are all of the categories that this teacher, I,  have been assigned to. I can see them here but they're greyed out. I don't have access to them. The ones that I can click on, I do have access to. So, that's the overview of how you as an administrator, if you are an administrator, can give access to certain categories of pages to certain users. Let's go ahead and go into managing pages from the category or personal page level. There are a couple of different ways that you can get to your pages. You can do it from this dashboard and go to pages. You can also go to the hamburger menu, go to page management and pages that way. So I'm going to go ahead and explain the difference between personal pages and category pages again. Personal pages are available to each user and they are going to be very useful for teachers, school staff like administrators-- available to each user to manage their personal content. So this would look like this right here. If your teachers have transitioned into online learning, this is going to be very useful to them. To make a new personal page when you're inside pages, you can just go to personal pages, add a page, and then choose what kind of page you want to add. I do have an option to add a feature page, I can do photo albums, calendars. In this case I've already added them to my page tree so I can't add another. I can add a video page or a link page or I could just add a regular blank page or link to another one. In this case I think I'm going to just go to a blank page. Once we're inside the pages, I can give it a title and then add some content to it. I can add text content, photos, or files. I can make it collapsible which I'll demonstrate on the live page. I can also add photos. I'm going to go ahead and add a section for files and I will make this collapsible. What this will do is allow this to be hidden so that when someone looks at this file section they can open it up and see a cascade of files. I can change the display option. I can change it from a file name to a file description and change the size. This the right hand side is what we call the section menu and this is a reflection of what order my pages are in in the section menu. You can add content under here including the same as in the blank page, photos and files. I have the option to save this as a draft and come back to it later. If you have an unpublished page, it will show this warning at the top. I decided this is ready to go so I'm going to go ahead and publish it. Now if I want to see what it looks like, I can hover over this link icon and open the page. If I open up this arrow, there's my collapsible content. Let's say that I want to move this page to a different spot inside my section. I can go back into my section and then drag and drop. It will rearrange my content for me. Now let me go ahead and show you how that applies to category pages. Category pages can kind of be thought of as a drawer inside a filing cabinet and inside that drawer are sections and the section can be thought of like the folder inside that filing cabinet. Inside that folder are my pages. So let me go ahead and demonstrate the way that you can edit pages and add pages once they are already inside a section. So I'm going to go ahead and add a new page in the same way  I demonstrated in the personal section. You have the option to choose between feature pages or certain blank pages. This is my text editor where I can add my formatting choices. I can change the layout and display the section menu on the right side the left side or not at all. I can also in the same way as with the personal Pages save it as a draft and then publish it. I can also manage certain options within pages, so if I would like to say delete a page, I can delete it, I can unpublish it. I'm going to go ahead and delete this page. If I'd like to look at the deleted pages later, that's an option. Just go to 'View deleted pages' It might take a moment for them to load. Once the deleted pages load, you can see the name of the page, when they were last modified, who modified it and what section or category it was deleted from. You can see here all of these were recently deleted and then the category and or the person's page they were deleted from. I'm going to go ahead and go back in here and review some page options. So if I'd like to go ahead and click within page You can go ahead and view some specific page options. This is where you can manage the search engine options for your pages which is going to be very important if SEO is very important to your school. This is where you can add meta descriptions and keywords, additional header tags and change the URL to a friendly URL. I'm going to go ahead and change this to and that way my URL is a friendly URL that I can show people. I can also move this page into a completely different category if I wanted to. So let's say that I wanted to move this. I can change the section. This would apply to whichever ones that I have access to, so you can see here I only have access to change it to one of two categories. So, I'm going to move this to music and this has moved it into an entirely new section. I'm going to go ahead and move that back The move tool is going to be very helpful if you are rearranging your content or the order of your sections. You can also move these and unpublish them. So I'm going to unpublish this section. People will not be able to see this if I do this but you can always restore that. One other feature that is going to be very important for certain pages is the ability to password protect them so if you have been given access this option, I'll go ahead and give myself the option to do that really quickly. Go ahead and sign in really quick. If you've been given access to Password Protected Pages they will show up as an option for editing inside the Category Pages. Lastly, I'll just go ahead and show the ability to show some other page options. I'll just go ahead and click back into the music category and I'm going to create a new page. Within the page options here I can add any of these feature pages and a blank page, so I'm going to go ahead and create a blank page for the music department. You can also add classes within this. I'm going to go ahead and add some classes. If you have classes setup you can add them this way. or you can add certain other feature Pages such as a video gallery or a photo gallery-- which you can upload in the media section or upload directly inside the pages. You can also add a photo gallery, which you can add again just as you would in the media and photos section. Once you added them if you decide to remove them later you can go ahead and unpublish them or edit the title or change the photos in them. So that is our overview of the pages feature.
