Hi everyone thanks so much for joining us today. Today we're going to be talking about how to make enrollment forms using our web forms module. So today we're going to be using the Edlio College Prep site and when we log into our admin we're going to navigate to Community Forms and then this is where we're going to create our new form. So today we're going to be doing an enrollment form for the 2020-2021 school year. So just start this I clicked create new form and so now we can go ahead and click into our form here. So you can see I've already started the form to get us started a little bit quicker so what we're going to do today is show you how to make an enrollment form so you can cut down on making person-to-person contact when enrolling for the new school year. So as you can see I've started here by adding just a content box at the top I've added an inline image here to go ahead and make it a little fancier looking and then we added our text here. So just like in our Pages module in the forms you're going to have additional formatting options here at the top so to insert a photo we can come up here to our 3 dots and we can click on the photo we're going to choose our photo source and then add our alternative text and then we're going to have the options of formatting this image here so we're going to go ahead and center it so it's nice and in line with our text. If we want we can make it smaller and make it larger just like any images that we would be using in any of our other modules here once we click outside of this ocular content box we can go ahead and we can start adding our form options here so we will start by adding contact information As you can see we just drag and drop and it's going to auto-populate all of these fields for you so you don't have to manually add each and every one. Should you want to remove one of them all you're going to need to do is click into it and click the little trash can and we've removed one of our Fields here additionally you'll see this when clicking into it we have the option to make this required so it's just going to provide a little asterik which means whoever is filling out this form must fill out that field before they can submit the form So we're going to make a few of these fields required here We want to go ahead and save our changes so here we got our basic contact information and you can start getting a little bit more detailed with the information that we want people to provide to us you can also manually add any of these fields here so if you don't want to use contact information that we used and just want to manually add individual feels it's super easy again you're just going to drag and drop you can ask a question here and when we click outside of that you'll see it's automatically saved here we also have the option to add a file to upload and then you'll see when the individual is filling out those simply just drag and drop any of their files here we also have the option to add check boxes multiple choice drop-down menus just about anything to further customize your form here we can also add this drop down here we could add as many options as we'd like we can also add more images if we'd like to do that as well and if we want to add a photo we can simply do that We can add our text here let's go ahead and add it above our question at our photo just like we did at the top and then we can choose where we would like this image to go and additionally if you have the payments add on to your forms we have these three additional options here to purchase items that you would link to your stripe account You can have an open payment where you can choose any number to donate we have multiple choice so if you had multiple items that were different prices we could add this year and then you've also got a items in the item would be similar to how we added this image here we would just drag and drop we can add our item description or item image and any variations that we need for the item that would be different sizes and we can also specify how many items we have available so we don't accidentally over sell something if we don't have that exact number of items let's go ahead and click save and let's see what our form currently looks like. So before we add it to our live site we have the option to go ahead and preview the form before anyone can come and start filling this form out and you can see here we have our public link and you can see that I customize it by using a friendly URL calling this link now enrolling so if we want to see what this looks like we'll just go ahead and click our live link and now we can go ahead take a look at our form make sure it's exactly what we want it to look like we'll go ahead and come back to your admin side now we need to go ahead and open our form so currently the status of our form is closed which means if someone tried to access it from the live site they would not able to fill out this form yet so we have our options here we can come to our form options and this is where we can further customize the form for who receives the form they'll get email notifications. Our form behavior that's going to be an additional way for us to customize the form including a submit button if we don't want it to say submit we can have it say send and then we also have captcha here so it's going to cut down on any spam that might be out there you can also customize the thank you page. This is going to be after somebody submits the form it's going to send them a message you can also add the option for people to submit more than one response if they need to change their response they can do so here and if you want them to receive a summary of their response when they submitted. Scheduling your form is going to allow for it to open and close at a certain time so for enrollment purposes you would probably want to have your form open on a specific date and also close on a specific date since you're probably not going to be having people sign up in the middle of the school year so if we wanted we can have our form set to open today and then we can have it close on any specific day here again we can further customize our form options so when this form is not open its going to have this default notice but you can always update that just like we did our submission page and once the form is closed then you can also have a message show up here if we have our payment setup via are forms of payments add-on this is where you're going to add your stripe account you can see her we don't currently have a stripe account associated with this form but this is where you would be able to link whichever account you want to this particular form here so when we come back to our form you can see now our form is open so now we need to go ahead link our form somewhere on our site so when people visit the site they will be able to access and then fill out the form so we have multiple ways that we can do that we can add forms here to site navigation to do that we're going to come navigate here to our site management and site navigation and then we need to choose which site navigation container we would like our form to be part of so I'm going to go ahead and just add it right here very first one in about we're going to click new item feature page we can come to our forms can come get that form link and copy that open in a new tab Be you sure to save your changes we come back here and do a hard refresh to update our site navigation go ahead and make sure we have that saved we also have the option to go ahead and add our form to our homepage widgets add a button widget here link to our form We'll come back to our live site and do a couple hard refreshes and you can see we now have our homepage widget here that goes directly to our enrollment page so we added it to our site navigation and then we also added it to our button widget now we can have people fill out add their files select their shirt size and submit here let's go ahead and fill this out what's our shirt size and then we hit submit you can see here our custom thank you page with the additional info that we added here all of the information from our form that we filled out and you can see the required fields have been filled out now we didn't make these required so they didn't have to fill them out so we won't receive responses for that because we gave them the option to edit their responses this link now is here at the bottom when we come back we can go ahead come back to community forms and you'll see our form now has one response so we can view our responses here and you can see when this was filled out and by whom we have the option to download all of our responses to Excel and we can even print them out if we need to when we come to our additional actions here this is going to give you those same actions that we have in our main forms module here we can also copy our form link and we can add that to any number of places so if we'd like we can come to our news and we can create a news article and link directly to that form we can insert the link directly or we can even hyperlink our text if we need to cite any sources or link to sources we can do here and we can also drag and drop any files here just like on our form go ahead and add a picture add alternative text we have our delivery options here so let's go ahead and post this right now now we're giving even more advanced options to share this news article which also has a link to our enrollment form so we can push it to social media we can make a homepage pop-up alert we're going to have that posted today so you can see here our homepage pop-up alert is now set we can push it out through our broadcast voice and text feature we can push it to the school news app and we can also send it out through the email sender so when we navigate back to our site here you can see that our homepage pop-up alert now is the first order of business when people come to your site we can close it out we can click okay and then anytime you come back to the page this is going to pop up or we can click read full story and be directed to our news article here so this our image that we posted we can go ahead and Tweet this out, send it to Facebook we can even print it if we'd like if we click our hyperlink text we're once again brought back to our enrollment form we can also add this to our Spotlight messages if it's something that you would really like to showcase Let's remover Summer Camp sign-up an add our enrollment form We can add our photo here if we need to add any additional files we can do so here go ahead and grab our enrollment link hyperlink our text I will go ahead and click save you can see now or summer camp is gone enroll now is live and our Spotlight Message which was once about summer camp is now about our enrollment so we can click read more if we like and be directed to this page once again back to our enrollment form here so for a quick recap to create a custom enrollment form navigate to Community forms new form and this is where we will start building it out should you need to edit any current form that you have the simply click on the title we can come in and edit and update any necessary information that we need here always remember to save and make sure our form is set to open when we un-click that that means it's going to stay open all the time our responses will be listed here you will see all of the responses here As
