hello everyone my name is Nicola go and I see that we are at 8:30 a little bit after 8:31 to give everyone the log on and my name is Nicola go and I will be home on the topic at hand is navigating the new Norm with your website and Google classroom you first want to go ahead and talk about some Logistics you should see a button that says Q&A panel or there's a Q&A you can submit your questions there throughout the webinar and I'll be happy to answer any oceans at the end if you ask a question that were not able to answer at the moment we would happy to follow up with an email after for sure just a little bit of background about Italy best our mission is to make the lives of Educators easier to approachable and Powerful technology doing this for a very long time about 19 years so far and believe it or not I had our first start in New York High School and I've actually been with us for about 18 it's now located in California so are word of mouth is slowly but surely making a word of mouth alone because everyone trying to here's how easy to use our platform is and thus far we powered over 15000 School in District websites around the world so the topic today that we're going to Deskjet discuss is how websites can play a critical role especially with David and the new norm and in really how how can your website support remote sorry I jumped ahead on a lot of the post here my name is Nicole I have one seven year old son he's a room for me in classroom cuz I'm working for 20 years of working and education for colleges is that me and my son exercise videos together to stay active exercise to do from home so that's how we like to stay active I can just a little bit about me and we talked about the topic that we're going to discuss here so let's go ahead and the first thing I would like to show you some examples some of our schools website so one of the schools I would like to bring up is ps50 we actually watch their website less than a month I believe they shows are spikes sketches design options so if we see here at the top not only can I access all of their classes for kindergarten first grade or second grade here so have a nice site to access the most teacher pages or classroom pages should be on the front or front of your website I'm so if I click here on classes I can see all of the the different classes here for the different rate levels and if I go to first grade here I can see all of the teachers that are here as well and I can access any one of the teachers classes directly from this website that's one example of how you really can't have your classes prominently displayed on the website that you may offer Grayson on our website even if you don't have an integration you may just want to have a link on the homepage of your website I'm and I'll show you an example of some of the school that have that he was also ps32 I'm sorry PS 106 but if we stay here and I also have a link that will take us directly to teacher pages so Google sites have teacher pages there's other platforms out there that have teacher pages on the website put in a nice photo Shuffle there she's letting one know about their program she also has her schedule and maybe we will be able to embed PDF teacher pay in curriculum and he's syllabus and I'm she also has her Google Classroom here as well on teacher pay again I will show you look at that little bit updates that were made on this teacher page so we have that elementary school that's not it in y. Google Classroom link here so a lot of it would be nice to still have a classroom on the website so it'll take and I don't have login credentials for that I'm not able to get into there write a couple of more examples of the next thing I want to talk about is how to set up a teacher page in class parent and I'm sorry how to set up teacher and class pages with info and students need so this is Molly Stark Elementary School these are just different examples of teacher pages notice how they have you Avatar there along with theirs my son definitely need some rules specifically that mute button that is driving me crazy while I'm in class watching him for first graders keep themselves on mute they throw those out verse that come out and he also has his schedule here but if we scroll down he has their schedule for 4 any important dates that they're using his personal class calendars winning homework assignments he also has a photo album Maybe pictures of the class has a link to is Google Classroom right here as well so we can see those assignments that were put in Google classroom so we can a couple of more examples at Jefferson Middle School this is an example of another and we call these cascading menus so I can just go to the topic and put the arrow so I can open it up so we see she has her syllabus or PDF you're so I know what contact information from the teacher the schedule and work policy so you can see how nicely she was able to she also has played in the night so very nicely put together just letting the parents know who weekly presentation of the PDF on your website as well and then if we go here to the next topic which is connect your site to a Google classroom with edlio you absolutely will be able to connect your Google classroom high school here we can see this instructor has her Google Classroom sync to the website if you guys are using everything should be on the website and easily accessible from a cell phone or websites are mobile-friendly and unresponsive which means this information can be brought up on a cell phone as well you have a lot of grandparents and and other family members that are at home does well so that grandparent can subscribe I email here or they can subscribe to the calendar if we wanted to see a calendar view here we can we have a nice printer friendly version that we can print out and put on my refrigerator everyone in the household know when was in the Simons are coming up that's the other calendar as well also for Brooklyn we also can subscribe by email so if there are any I will be notified by email if I subscribed by email as well so linking really increases parent engagement because for the Google Classroom integration I have all of these other cool features about the website is being able to translate it in over a hundred different languages so if I change all of the information that they put in Google Classroom because it's on the website out there in New York we have about two more minutes at Jefferson Middle School just showing more examples of what they have on their personal calendar online learning resources that they have so some schools are using I ready and Can Academy so she has those links nicely there on the website for the parents to have access to put on the website that that's related to this particular and again I can go to the 8th grade math class and click on the upcoming assignments for that math class and again the teacher put this in Google Classroom because of race and that's what makes it appear on the website it doesn't questions at the moment so this is my contact information on the screen my name is Nicole leveaux your number and if you guys have any questions you have a quick 30-minute demo with you what's test driver platforms before you sign up with us as well thank you again for your website have a great day everyone
