so today we'll be talking about using management and security we will start off with Security First we'll talk about passwords single sign-on two-factor authentication Noble jump into managing your users access resetting password editing profiles deleting disabling or locking out a user for the user management we will jump into the backend to show you how to access all great so on average we have about 30,000 sites all over the US you know there's about 30,000 sides or a better half the day so it is very important to have a high password strong password will be going over single sign-on so you know other than your standard login option your school or District it Department can also set up in a gracious with Google Office 365 or active directory so once once these are set up users can log into their admin site using their SSO credentials do if you're interested feel free to reach out to your client success or support team for more information do best practices on passwords mail this is just basic information I never reveal your password to others make sure you use different passwords on different accounts 3 is because if you are hacked or if your password is compromised know the hacker is going to use that username and password on every account they can so that's very important to have different passwords on different accounts using two-factor authentication but we will get into how to set that up and not what that is about use a password manager like one password in LastPass and avoid using real words start here on the right you'll see the new password and requirements these are at Leo's requirements which were recently changed to increase Security on password so it must be over 12 character not contain your name username or school name include uppercase one number and one symbol no jumping into Google as a so or single sign-on so we do in a great with Google SSO Office 365 and active directory L. What SSL does and improves security capabilities it reduces the number of attacks surfaced because I users only use One login each day and one set of credentials so if you were to use Google SSO you will be using your Google username and password into Ed Leo's Adventure it streamlines streamlines the user experience so that's a much easier one less password to remember and it also uses the past requirement set in SSO platform so if you were to use Google SSO your admin side while use Google if you were to use Office 365 that will be used for the same and also and this is a screenshot of how that would look so if you were to use a SS so you will see here sign in with Google jumping into two Factor authentication what is two-factor authentication so it's just an extra layer of security it's just that extra step delre confirm your identity it's a purpose attacks life harder attackers life harder so I let me share what that would look like here how to get two Factor authentication setup so you will see in our help center I am sharing an article with you on how to set up two-factor Authentication and you will also be able to search turn on the bottom here but I will also show you on the back end how that works so once the user is signed into a Leo and they go over to their profile you will see here enable two-factor authentication once you click that thing you will get this q r code and you would have to download a two-factor authentication app I use Google Authenticator myself so how that works is once you have that setup you all use your admin username and password and it will prompt you to the next screen where it will ask you for the code the code X out so you got to make sure you enter that pin before it times out but you would scan this QR code and on the next screen you'll see your username password and then I'll prompt you to enter your authentication code this is another way to you know how you improve your security have high security and avoid any hackers so let's jump back over here so user access jumping into user access and user management best practices to limit the number of users with what web admin access we highly recommend to audit your current users with web admins and only Grant access to Features the user needs so it is important I know baby sometimes by end of the year just to take a quick look at the user management see who really uses it and I'm going out there is any staff changes or if there's anyone new to the group or someone has to make sure I do disabled delete that account and we will jump into how to do that in a bit here so let me show you over jump over to our back end and show you how that would work so you will see and Leo's admin page now I'm sure everyone is familiar with this page here so this is your homepage of your admin site and you'll see here news alerts to calendar forums newsletters I want so a quick way to go over to user management you can either hover over the hamburger menu here and go over to site management and user management or you can just roll down here go over to site manager and access user management here so this will be your user management page and here you will see the web and do all of these contacts here on this list do you have access to updating your what right now I am signed in as a super admin and all super admins will have the name as admin of this is actually my personal account here but I am logged in as super admin now and that's the only time I will be able to Grant access edit access delete the stable and so on so to jump over to my account here so this is the basic look and you're a how to change password here delete user ID photo jump into edit profile now if I were to log in with my personal account I will see here to enable two-factor Authentication let's go over to edit profile so you'll see username title first name and so on position so you do also have email and you can also hide this from the public so if you are to use a staff directory or staff blocks on your website you do have the option to hide you know the admins or the user's email address from public so you'll see and user type I am a school admin and a teacher so again if I were to be in the stock block I would be showing up in these two categories here now one of the main things here is the web now this allows me to make changes on my website so if I were to uncheck this I will not be able to make any changes on the website so let's go ahead and check that back or if you want to give any you know user access directly just for one specific area you can be able to do so down here so let's say you want to give a teacher you know news and announcements so you can go over the news categories and give them access to any of these areas here news announcement or you know if you'd like to give them or anything along those lines you could always do so by checking boxes here scroll down a little bit more here you will see forced password reset so this actually is going to make the user reset their password during their next sign in you can disable the account and they cannot log in and the content will be hittin locked out account so the user will not be able to log log you have forced password reset so they cannot login until the reset the password is reset or user account is authenticated via active directory which we spoke about few minutes ago it is best practice to change your password about we recommend every 6 months just so you know your hikers are not able to access or password or hide any of those and so yeah that would that's how your user management page would look like to go over back over to all users and if you scroll down here these are just users that do not have access to the list show or maybe my hair is page here so he is to factor is disabled so if you were to go onto his page he would have to enable two-factor cover to edit he is listed as a teacher so he will be if there were a staff directory or staff blocks you will be listed on their teachers he does not have any web admin access nor does he have any areas or Grant access to any of these areas but you can always check mark those there that's all I had for user management and secure
