Thank you for joining me! We are going to show you some ways to highlight your staff with your Edlio site. Everything going to show you will include tools that you already have available to you as part of your Edlio site. Let's go ahead and get started. My teammate Sergio is going to help me moderate as you have questions and we are going to get started right now. Alright And after this ends that you will have a video recording. Let's continue going. After the presentation today this is going to be available in the Help Center so if you miss anything no worries you're going to be able to add to watch the video later. Just for some housekeeping if you have questions tap on the Q and A panel and Sergio is going to be fielding questions in there throughout the presentation. If for whatever reason you have a question that we can't answer yet we'll get back to you individually and will also put you in touch with your Client Success Specialist. As a reminder if you ever need help with anything you have access to the Help Center that is along the top bar of your site on your admin dash. Whenever you have questions about anything involved with your website at all all of the help articles are available here videos that you can scroll through and learn all of the things about your site. Alright. Moving on, so for this session I'm going to explain what Staff Blocks are as well as how to adjust your Staff Directory that you may already have set up and then just a general refresher on User Management. management and staff directory I have a lot to do with each other so if you're in this session you might benefit from just a quick refresher on the relationship between user management and staff directory so I want to put that out there first and then we're going to spend time just me sharing some inspiration highlighting your team with some real life examples of some cool ways that some of our campuses just across the country are highlighting your teams using our tools all right so I'm going to jump right into the quick refresher on your staff directory. When you are in your admin dash Staff directory is here. Always know that you have these directory options available to you. You can name your directory and also choose what is displayed so whether or not you want your staff email displayed or for it to just say the display send email link the name of your staff members all of those details that's going to be adjustable in your staff directory. You can choose any of these templates to have them to have them displayed in whatever array appeals to you. And I also want to point out user management because this is what tells staff directory this is how it tells them where to to go so when you upload your staff en mass and if you haven't done that- often when a campus is looking at their at their site and they're like where's our staff directory? It may mean that you have not yet imported your staff. If you need to do that there is a mass import button in a specific CSV template that we can upload all of your staff members with so if you need to upload your staff members drop a note in the chat and Sergio will make a note of who you are and we'll get you that csv template. Okay so let's start looking at some examples. So the staff directory template that I just showed you, this is just an example of what that looks like choosing one of those templates. This is the template with the circle, the title of staff. and obviously we've got the staff search bar that you can drag-and-drop up there so you can look up any staff member that you want so this is what many many campuses have just a complete list of staff through this template. Here is an example of a campus that has done just that but they've added biography information. So again this is just the regular staff directory but this campus has chosen to add biography information and there the link to email them. So this is a creative example of again just that regular staff directory template that I showed you here going back to it that's all they've done but they've chosen to add all of that biography information so that is a good example of using that creatively Staff grouped on separate pages. This is another way that schools have creatively shown their staff to to their Community is so here is an example of staff grouped on separate pages so this is not through the staff directory feature but rather through pages so this campus has done just that they have a section for their for their team and they have listed their staff on separate pages so it really just depends on what you want how you want your staff to appear. This is an example of using staff blocks and going to show you how to do that to selectively add your staff. Here's another example of staff grouped on separate pages so you can see in their bread crumbs up here as you work with Pages you know what bread crumbs are and so they have this action this page and their staff members separated on different pages so that's a good example of how a campus is it's another exam I've stopped being grouped on separate pages stop fruit on the same page so here is Staff blocks in action so example one here they actually are using the hero layout if you're familiar with our hero layout for pages so what this campus is done is they have used staff blocks and I'll show you in just a moment how they've done this and you can adjust it but just the style font got all of those details for your own school but they have added they separated their staff through this content block here and then they've chosen who to add underneath that content block and they've done that throughout the rest of these these sections and again if you have not seen one of our hero layout every one of you has the hero layout available to you it's in your pages I'll swing by there before we're done today to remind you of where it is this is what the hero doubt looks like an action it's a stylish page template if you have not yet used to it okay this is another example of a campus staff blocks and separating them by group this campus did exactly what that other campus did this is a page with staff blocks it added the I sent block and I have chosen who goes underneath each of those sections and now I'm driving kind of quickly through here but I want to make sure to get to all of these examples for you this is another example this it Dave what is a bold title here and again staff blocks content piece here they've selected who goes underneath each of their each of those titles alright here's another one this one is interesting because they have chosen to use a page and add these buttons at the top of it so these buttons go to obviously these different parts of their site so I have seen this in a couple different ways wear during your in the staff development I'm sorry that's a sin helmet staff directory area they want to draw attention to frequently used numbers so this is a way that they've done that can you see the same as facts with the separation another example this is the same thing just using font and color on a page using icons in order to separate the information they're really creative use their and then this another example of using a page to add a picture and biography information about staff all right strategic placement of Staff block ask you question to chat I'm going to try and get to that oh okay so there's an example of distributive cool stack blocks and contact on page so this is another way of using staff blocks I'm going to click on that right here so this is another page and they have used the staff blocks feature to add the contact information for the staff associated with this page so that is another use of the stack blocks feature all right so there are some creative unique staff introductions that I thought that those of you participating in this would be interested in seeing and here is an example of that so this campus has used button in order to leak to their staff information so you could do this this is just a regular page and they have added button to Link Staffing information so that that was an interesting way did you die in a creative use of a button this campus has a really cool way of introducing their staff to to their community and they have used videos so they're this staff directory is entirely of video directory so it's super cool they if they have linked each of these videos to today associate information with this with this staff they said the staff members so that's how they link up and I thought that that was a really fun way if you wanted to incorporate video introductions all right as a staff introduction so this is another really creative use of pages as a staff directory and a way to introduce to your community is there a diagram of their leadership and admin team as well as some biographical information about the campus itself and again we've seen how other campus have used pages to add images and biography information just really clean very creatively done and here is another example of again pages and the use of color and placement to have a really eye-catching way of highlighting staff this again it's just a page and they have added pictures and used to use color and type face in order to to Really create a unified polish look very inviting way of of highlighting your staff so again this is all done with pages in order to highlight yourself Direct okay so I'm going to show you now I keep saying staff blocks and in case any of you don't know what staff blocks are I'm going to show you how to use them right now and if you need help whenever you're reviewing how to get back to doing anything with staff blocks in The Help Center they have these step-by-step instructions here alright so let's add some stuff when I go to I'm just going to create a page to show you exactly how to do this okay blank page all right I'm going to pretend that I am adding our Administration some kind of Center. You know all of these things you can just use this normal normal features here and so now I'm going to add staff so we're going to add just a few folks here and that's the basic technique of using stack blocks if I wanted to add staff here that's exactly what I would do here so that is in a nutshell how to use that feature I know that we're running short on time and I want to make sure that I am able to answer questions that you have if we wanted to switch the template for this I just did that that's another example of using if I wanted to use the hero layout you would add your picture at the top there and let's go back to this so if we publish this page and we view it publicly you can see that just the rough way that I've separated these these page of me another one so I am just building these out I'm going to add my staff just like that and you see how I've separated those so you create a Content block and then you and your staff create another concept block and also from here this is where you could add your pictures I could not a video I could do you know a lot of the things that you just saw shared in the exam that were shown so with that I want to make sure that we can answer some questions before we run out of time let's see a question I hear what if you wanted to add photos with the staff blocked you absolutely can do that you you add them in the staff directory and they will show up in the in the staff blocks now there is I'm glad that she's asking this question I'm so the weather question is if that's because of you who can't stay do you want to add photos with the stopwatch can you an answer is yes how do you manually add photos or is there an automatic way like in the regular staff directory you add them in the regular staff directory but what I want to mention is there is a new feature where if you want to have let's say all of pictures in your staff directory but you don't necessarily want pictures on your pages you can turn that off as a new feature for the great question I have another both of those questions have some elements in the chat here okay so yes the recording is going to be shown how do you how or can you choose the display of the staff block do we have options of types of a displays like on a main staff directory so can you arrange them differently yes you can have your your staff blocks horizontally you would do that within the page itself good question where do we turn off that feature so I will show you she's talking about the future in the admin Dash or stop block from the show you that that is this check right here okay other questions another question in the chat oh how are colors and font do you have a lot of questions okay how are colors in Spa change in staff locks so when I was right here I changed this and I'll show you how I did it so he just I'm also demonstrating house at find a page if I wanted to change this color or font this is where I would do it I can change it here now your response are unique to your your site so you may have to get if you know that you want to change your font to something unique like we saw in the the day school example contact your CSS because you can work with tech support to have a font change now what they may have also done is copied that in so when you see died in the example of the Chesterfield Day School it looks like they have created that entire piece of text and then added it to the to that page itself that was created in an added as an image for a question how was the staff directory disabled I'm not sure what you mean I would say staff directory if we wanted to disable a if what you mean is disabling a user then you can go into user management and if you wanted to stable someone then you would disable user for the bottom here this is where you can disable an account so yeah I believe what they have done here is at images so in a separate if you're going to use a page instead of a staff directory how is that possible you can link that page as yours directory okay all right it looks like we are just about out of time we are going to keep all of these questions and if you did not get your question answered a please know that we will reach out to you individually to make sure that it does get answered this has been a lot of fun to get to share with you call I hope that it is been helpful in that you have seen some things that has been inspiring and give you ideas for highlighting your staff again this recording will be posted soon and we will all of your question addressed if for any reason they were not addressed during the webinar itself so with that thank you all for participating and that will conclude our our webinar today thank you so much
