Alright, everybody! I think we are ready to get started! Thank you so much for joining us for this My Edlio webinar today where we'll be looking at examples of our branded mobile app and how you can use them to connect with your school community. My name is Danny I'm a member of the Client Success team here at Edlio. Now just a quick bit of business before we hop into the webinar. As always today's webinar recording of it will be available in The Help Center so if you're not able to stay no worries check the help center in the coming days we will have a recording of that there. If you do have any questions as we go through the webinar today please go ahead post them in the chat feature or q and a feature whichever  you prefer their and we'll go head and get those answered for you know I was today's webinar we are going to go ahead and we'll go through the webinar and any questions that we have we will answer at the end but let's go ahead and get into the meat of the webinar and that is the star of the show today and that is the Branded mobile app now y'all have been asking for this for a while now we have finally delivered. If if I could have play Hallelujah Chorus now over my speakers for you I would because we are very excited about this and what it means for our wonderful clients and how you can connect with your wonderful School Community with this app. Now so that's what we're going to look at today we will take a look at some of our real-life apps in action and all the tools within it that you can use to connect with your school community. A recent study I saw online stated that people pick up and look at their phone screens on average 58 times a day. Can you believe that? 58 times a day. At first I was thinking, maybe that low but I don't know I think about you know just kind of looking at my phone to see what time it is anything like that news popping up but yeah on average 58 times a day so think about that you know you're trying to reach your school community with any important formation news in using an app like this you are way way more likely to connect with them by pushing a push notification through an app being like that so again this app is the most effective way to reach your school community Alright, here's how we're going to go ahead and run today's webinar I'll look at a couple of Edlio websites here on my desktop screen here in a second that I'm trying with you right now I then we'll jump over to my phone screen here so we can see the corresponding apps for these sites in action now as we're looking at these these websites and the apps I just wanted some things to note here looking at them your big takeaways the app is completely customizable to your school's branding and overall look and feel so think of it as a hub to share your community's school spirit and it's a centralized location to access the most important information for your school or district . We offer easy translation in 60+ languages to ensure that you are reaching every single member of your school community no matter which language they speak and you can go ahead and use push notifications to make sure parents are seing up-to-date and pertinent information that you want them to see. Let's go ahead and look at the school sites real quick then I'll hop over to their apps. Now we will be looking at these three today-- Miguel High School, Montour School District, and Lighthouse Christian Academy. Let me hop out of here Alright, first one here Miguel High School right when we're doing this wall so just take a look at the overall design of the site as well because you know I would say you know you're thinking about a a redesign for your school site these are some more recent designs here and it's never a bad time to go ahead and think about a a redesign here you know you can always reach out to a client success specialist for a redesign of your site if that is something you are interested in that we have you know that red and white up here coming down here quick links and news + announcements, Spotlight message over here, calendar, another calendar here and Spotlight message and social media here. Some at a glance stats and facts about your school and these are within the Muse are part of a shuffle down here. Moreso looking at this so you can focus on the branding here that are that the school is using hop over here to Montour School District. Now with the apps, we'll be looking at some that are single sites and some that are a district like this Montour School again let's look at their branding. We have that that black and gold here white lettering here we have a Twitter feed on the homepage I like it I like it it's a minimilastic homepage here just the most important information that you need here again let's really focus on the branding here and then last but not least we'll hop up here to Lighthouse Christian Academy again a newer design year we see  we have that that dark blue and gold here we have a smaller  photo Shuffle here a spotlight message as well and coming down here to our news and announcements calendar things like that awesome! Alright now what I want to do right now is I'm going to go ahead and stop sharing this screen and I'm going to go ahead and start sharing my phone screen with you so give me just one moment here and I will go ahead and pull that up for you Alright, now you should all be seeing up my phone screen here and now if we look up top here we have use me aside Alright, now the first thing I want you to notice here are the app icons for those three sites that we just saw which is one of the things you'll work on with your product manager if you decide to utilize the school app are these icons I want you to notice how different and unique each of these are again your school's branding is so so so important and if you feel like maybe your school could work on their branding reach out to your Edlio client success specialist more info on that we do off branding services they can give you more information on that again reach out to your client success specialist if you're not sure who that is I reach out to clientsuccess@edlio.com and we will be happy to point you in the right direction alright but let's go ahead here and we will click here first on a Lighthouse Christian Academy LCA Lions right there Alright, so you see we had a load screen there for a second and we'll work from the top of the app here and work our way down I'll do my best make sure I am mentioning where I am clicking I know it's not like we can see my mouse click around I'll be in touch screen I'll do my best to make sure I remember you and let you know where I am at something on the screen right now but up top here you see we have this I'm going to head here in just kind of pricing of the arrows on the right there tops you can see the different header images images up there as part of your branding you see here are we have those school colors that that blew up your way contrast looking really good will go up here you are menu yeah all right looks like we have a home news events things like that these are all things that can be added to your new information that you are pulling from your edlio site and go right you're in your app I mean first looking at news I can see different news events here go to events whatever calendars you have linked to it whether you have a Google or Microsoft calendar integrated with your Edlio site with your manually adding them yourself to a to your other say however you're doing it will pull in all of those calendar events whichever calendars you would like next You can have as many calendars as you want with your Edlio CMS ones you want to pull over here we can definitely do that for you come back up here to the top menu here . We have their directory you now this is pulling from the mobile version of the site you see here we are using that staff blocks feature for pretty sharp looking staff directory there pretty cool go back here he was at a glance now down here we have our tools couple things to look at here I now we have contact us and again we're going to the mobile version of the site in every site has a contact us page if anybody wants to get in contact with you there but we'll come back over here. We have the map again. Again I'll pull up a general directions with Google Maps to your your school district all right if you're going to go straight to the mobile version of the site here in easily do that Alright, I'll come back up here actually we'll come back here and here we go What I wanted to show you here was this language feature. We'll click there all right with a very robust a translation feature here so the content within the app and go ahead and b translated to whatever language you are choosing here we'll just show you some of the options that we are we have there Alright, so I just picked Slovak there to so we can go see all these options here on from the app all translated for us there and one other thing I wanted to know here you see here we have these lines between each of these modules here right now that is up to you some schools like to use those lines some don't you have more like a floating icon they both look good on it's really kind of personal preference there whatever you prefer being that is with that because I only go ahead and get back to English they're all right but yeah that is just as just a few of the features on this app here. Down here at the bottom you see we have these apps here so again bottom left here beside the globe click on that it's a mobile version of the site but I want to go back to the phone here right there gives parents the option to call the school right there with the click of the button pretty cool we have the other option that we saw here with the contact us feature, staff directory things like that right now we're going to hop over to Montour School District right now I purposely left this one not set up so you can see what parent see when they first access the app for a district-- Lighthouse Christian Academy is a single site the right now what we're seeing is it's a single site so we're going to see now is for something with multiple sites Alright so I'm going into Montour School District here first thing they're going to ask you is if you would like to have them send you notifications One other thing I wanted to note here I'm accessing this right now from an iPhone. It is available on both iPhone and Android whatever you have here I just wanted to point that out real quick so then allow notifications to be sent here Alright, now we can either set up now or skip set up now I'm set up set up now really what you're doing there is letting you knowschools within the district you want more information from going to click setup now. Alright, so I want news from what's a district I want Athletics, let's say I have a kid in the middle school and high school their house they don't have anybody at the elementary school so I won't need any of that information Alright,  do that let's go I see if we had there that a loading screen will take a look at some more loading screen in a bit just how important it is to your branding another way that we can I utilize that feature later on. Alright now we will come down here and I see we have some questions coming in and we're going to get these questions at the end of the webinar today stick around and we will answer those questions for you okay now right now right now we were going to go ahead and click my schools up here that is what we were just saw before laying on top right there my schools so you want to hop around between school so we were just on the district the district part of the app but I can go up here I'm over at the middle school here different news events again and this is for a district here vs a single site. Let's see down here all right one of these I want to note so again I'm picking up here top right come down here so they have decided to use a bus routes feature which is great links you to the site to a a PDF that they've added here pretty cool we'll go up here again down here bottom-right my alerts alright this lets you customize whatever push notifications that you don't want push notification boom bam right there you click that top button there it turned off and won't turn back on though so let's say you just ant that you only really want the news announcements there you don't want any of the other information you just leave news and announcements checked all right again. This is from the parents respect if you ever want to go through setting up the app. Again, kind of like what we saw before with Lighthouse Christian Academy we have news feature, events and things like that again when you're working with your Project Manager to get all of this setup go ahead here and decide which items you want here within Each school with whatever information you want pulling from there whatever information or models you want here with these buttons when you first pull it up you work on that with your project manager looks like a great use of space here with menus with quick links quick links are always great so you can something else you can customize here with your project manager whichever icons you want their whatever information you want there quick links you know so that clever lot of schools using clever I think it's a great way to go ahead here and get more information out to your school community and just you know quick easy access to all of this information again I want to point out that branding here so last last school we looked at Lighthouse Christian Academy that nice blue and gold branding here here with Montour we have that black and gold here for their school branding comes through in the app down here on the bottom we have more of a simplified version of what we saw before down here at the bottom they have the call feature and the mobile site for the buttons at the bottom but again you can customize that you are leaving in about four or five there. Alright, awesome! and then we will go ahead here and go home to Miguel School District now So before when we were looking at Montour all of the schools are they had pretty much the same brandnig which is very normal first one right every school has similar branding summer school colors in every district is like that right some school districts with different schools would like to have different branding for each school. So Miguel School District here let's go ahead here go up to my schools and look at the middle school and just show you how you can have different branding depending on the school even within the same district you can go ahead here and have different branding alright now let's see here I what's go back over to our slides real quick couple more things I do want to show you here before we wrap up and then I'll pop into those questions you want to stop sharing my phone screen here for a second and we'll pop over and we will see looking at all these slides and has a couple more things I want to show you here just how versatile this app can be or your school give me just one moment Alright, awesome! Now we're back to our slides here if you do decide to utilize an app for your school districts you work with one of our expert project managers who will walk you through all of the items things that you like to pull from your site to your app and what that'll look like so beyond these apps I just showed you on my phone we'll also take a look at some other examples of headers loading screen icons things of that nature so we can show you just how much personalization can be done with these and how beautiful they can't look so get here just a couple more examples of header images at some of our clients are using kind of see here completely different branding each one in some really solid branding here for a few of these really really good I really like this here. I think that's just fantastic branding there again if you think your school's branding is lacking in any sort of way if you want some help with it reach out your client success specialist we do offer a branding package here and help with that really important how important branding can be for your school or district. Alright, so these are different examples remember we have the header at the top of the app that is what parents are seeing there as well Sports note You can have multiple images there. It's important to note Alright, next up different loading screen examples that was you parents or anybody opens the app you see here we have these different loading screens here. Again, more branding opportunities. Again, the placement of your logo and other elements within it's a great opportunity to again increase those branding opportunities for you and your school again some really great branding going on here and last but not least I just wanted to show you this your icon on the home screen here can look like these are all really examples from real apps-- using our branded app. You can see just how different thet can be again you'd be working with your project manager on this they go ahead on and they can help you deciding what to use for your icon for your school app. Alright, so I'm about to hop in the chat here so we can go through any questions that we may have, but for any folks that do not will go ahead and wrap things up I want to thank you all so much for joining us again for this My Edlio webinar.
