already everyone thank you so much for joining us today for this mildly a webinar or today we will be looking at everything you need to know as a brand new web admin for an existing at Leo School website now this is going to be a general overview giddyup CMS you know some key things you should know as well as some tips and tricks for succeeding in your role as a web admin for your edlio site if you're looking for an official to our training session with one of our Eva expert trainers I definitely recommend reaching out to your client success specialist so they can give you all of the details to set that up now I can really framing this today as all right I've been given the keys to this website here I got to go in and be aware where do I start what do I do what's the first thing I do that's how we're going to dress that that today on it before we could have really jump into the CMS and go over all of that as I wanted to look at some a high-level thinks you're some high-level things to note you know how we you said Leo Al works at a halt and the first thing I wanted to point out here is your design of your homepage right one of the questions we get a lot isn't making updates to the the designing of the homepage things like that it is went to note that your homepage on a Lottery site is hard-coded are so bigger changes to the layout will need to be made through our tech support team that you can reach out to your client success Specialist or directly to our tech support team about those changes and look over the best way to make those updates at everything I really recommend going through your client success specialist for that they'll come and walk you through all that and potentially communicate your your needs or wishes your wants to our tech support team that updated or whether or not you know a a full-on redesign is in order I'm definitely reach out your clients a success specialist about any big changes to the layout design of your sight at one of the other high-level things I wanted to know. just in general reaching out to your client success specialist every at Leo site comes with one their function is literally in their job title right client success specialist they are here to help you succeed so use them Reach Out them use them resource they're always happy to hop on a zoom call video call with you you know just kind of show you best practices how to do something you know no matter how big or small the question is reach out to them they are always happy to help you were always going to be in your corner so deaf feel free to use them if you're not sure who your client success specialist is rejected client success at aaliyah.com and we will be happy to connect you with them or in one of the last things I want to cover here before we jump into the CMS here I is a what kind of web administrator are you and there's two kinds of a graphic appear on the screen there is a super admin every site has one super admin account username admin or a regular website administrator now realistically the only difference between the two a super admin any regular website admin is that the super admin account is able to go ahead and delegate website admin privileges to different accounts that's the only different other than that is super admin and a website that men can do all of the same things they can manage users who are not website admin they can access and manage all of the features in the edlio admin area which we're going to see here in a second send email from your organization through our email sender and so much more alright so let's actually go ahead and jump in now right now you should be seeing a login screen here username and password this is how you're going to go ahead and ask your admin site all right if you need the URL to this I reach out to your client success Specialist or even if you still have me one of the other admins at your school enough that you're just a traditional web admin then go ahead and provide that you are now a couple of things here now if your new webadmin hopefully you know you know one of the other way better that your school has already created an account for you or at the very least have provided the login credentials for the super admin account that's going to be important here to get yourself set up here all right so you either need the super admin credentials to go ahead and log in here or you need to make sure that whoever had access to the super admin credentials an account for you to go ahead and log in or gave you a account info for a another website admin account to go ahead and log in here are so in this case I want to login as a regular webadmin I'm not going to be logging in as a super admin today I'm going to be logging in as a website admin dashboard here you can see all of the different modules and features here and now we're not going to be going over all of these in detail today I'm something like that is better suited for an official live one-on-one training again reject your client success specialist about that but we definitely recommend coming over here to help Central Michigan how do we get to our help centrifuges go up here to help help center is going to open a new tab here this is our help center I'm going to referencing this a few times today pretty much anything you know that you want to know about your earliest you can find here totally recommend coming here I come up here to help articles find a pedicure articles on all of our features we even have like different like learning pass I mean if you are a beginner beginner you can click here you know we have a whole bunch of different articles at your disposal here so I definitely recommend doing that specifically you know if you're looking for back to school familiar with the help center we click here to watch you want in find all of our past webinars if you have a question about your odds are we did a webinar on it in the past I so definitely check that out my clothes out of the help center now I know we're back here in the admins now the very first thing I want to do is go ahead and update my profile here to account profile when we doing this today is treating this as a brand new account right I'm I'm going to have some information here all because this account has already been logged into what you say you are brand new account you know of any of this information here if you want to go ahead and add some of this information go to edit your profile and this is where you can go in now at your position I give other information you want to adhere maybe a degree it's where a lot of other schools will do that I'm so mad if additional information that here if you want to add your contact information anything like that and I'll show you in a second here where this all shows up which is a good way to add some information about yourself then hear your user type so if you're a teacher and your squad Minister other employee you know whichever you consider yourself they're down here you're going to see. edit access where we getting into all this in a second we go ahead and add a new user to the sights and staff members here when I can be doing that right now we're going to go ahead and click save my soul in and update the information so yeah I can add some information your profile here and will show you in a second I'll wear this information can be found on the public facing site but I also want to go ahead and add a profile photo here here on this pencil icon I'm going to upload a photo here all right that's where you come in here you can crop it if you like Center Harvey like crop and Save okay awesome there we go I have my profile ready to go I have my photo ready to go now where this comes in handy here is in your pages every single a cow comes with personal Pages place to add information about yourself you know whether to stop welcome page some general info whatever you want a little bio so if I click right here edit pages I'm going to bring me to my personal page is he right I've already built these out I will go into page management here in a second but this is my personal page years I want to go to the public link give me an idea of what this looks like went through in a I built Alex or some information about me you know what's up as a teacher and but it's videos things like that you can see on the side hear a different classes those things like that now we come up here now I'll show you how the public is going to find this page all right now again these are all my personal Pages we come up here and see my profile we need try going to Pages we can also edit those pages by going to page management pages over here to personal Pages these are all those pages here all right but how does the general public find this page write all of these personal pages are accessible through your staff directory all right so I'm going to come up here we'll find our staff directory let's see all right our staff meet our team they can see here we have our staff directory everyone that has been added to our user management has a user type checked off will be found here so here we have my Daniel Benson click in there Marriott brings us to my personal page where people can come in and subscribe if they want again you know for this page here I kind of made it as a teacher to whether or not you are a teacher if you are just a web admin you know it might be great you just to have some for the welcome page here regardless of your role at the school but again that is how people on the front-facing site will find that information all right next up are at so as a web admin let's just say you know we have some new staff members to Adara let's see how we do that we can do that by going to the hamburger drop-down menu site management user management all right now here we have again all of the users on this site here in this Keys all of the staff at Leo College Prep come back over here again that is everybody we're sitting in our staff directory can be found here by but we have you know it's a beginning of the school year was at some new staffer out for you how you can do that as a web go up here to add new user all right we need to create a username and a lot of admins will use just the person's email address as your username is completely up to you when I login they can either enter just you know there is your name here or their email address so got to change able whichever you prefer there all right awesome notes command here we want to select their user type again I'm you want to talk to you to type so they will display in the main staff directory I'm so in this case let's say this new person here but events and will make sure they are a surf teacher alright so we come in here doesn't eat them is a teacher now down here this is where you can go ahead and Grant specific access to certain parts of the site I said when a teacher walking to a staff member that does not have web admin privileges when they login it's going to look a lot different what years logout looks like it's going to be a lot more limited a lot fewer options are going to be able to go ahead I'll pay their personal calendars their personal pages but they're not going to have access to everything on the site you're alright but let's just say you know we want to go ahead and delegate some of the work of updating the site you know I was just say this person boat events in here we're going to go ahead and they are in charge of updating the educational support category of pages rights them access to all of these sections here all right I mean they're going to log in they're going to be able to go to page management but they're only going to see this category that we have set up your educational support all right we're going to give him access to anything else a person who has web admin privileges would automatically have access to all of this here all right we want to keep buddy Benson at regular permission for we're going to get him some additional permissions here to help out with some of the workload give up updating the site I'm we're always a big fan of that you know if you can pull other staff members in to help you updating your site making sure it's always up-to-date and omit many hands make light work right so definitely recommend doing that if we can we see other things we can give them ahead and access privileges to so your news your event specific calendars if you want to give them access to that I'm different features that we have here we'll go over some of these today different password protected areas these are all things you go in and give them access to know down here there's a few different app options here with account status now let's say that you know this person let's just say this was an old account right at 1:20 we're not setting up right now this is a user has been here and looks like just the opposite right now we're adding a new user for I you know a new hire let's just say in this case that this is an older employee who's actually leaving now they're leaving their moving out soon. Trinity is reading going in either disabled or lockout this user here you know so they wouldn't be able to log in and depending on what you pick here we can remove the information from the staff directory pull up to you but against the new account when I'm doing that on what say you know this person needs to go ahead and reset their passwords as we can do that for them here a book wedding state rights we're saving this new user code events in the new surf teacher here at edlio College Prep I will go in and add a profile photo like we did before with our profile but remember they're adding a new Pro call for a new person going to try and save that all right cool I want to come over here to the staff directory there we go there's buddy Benson and his buddy Beth and hasn't logged in it they're not going to have any Pages nothing yet unless they go in log into our building stuff this was a fresh profile with no pages is going to look like alright can access here just specific category here let me go in here and show you what page management looks all right you have access to all of the pages within your you're at the asite here and going to make any edits any of the content anything there and we have our organization of our Pages structured like are categories sections and pages right so these are all of the categories right there a maximum of six categories you can have for your pages we like to think of the whole pages module like this all right think of it as a as a filing cabinet okay let's say the categories listed here there was are the individual drawers of that filing cabinet right I'm going to go ahead and open this drawer educational support remember this one we give access to to Bodie but with this one so it wouldn't Bode logs in he clicks on pages he's only going to see this one category here I since we are admins we're going to see every page and I but I'm a click in this category he remember categories they are the drawers of that filing cabinet we are going to do that now we are seeing all of the different sections all right and the sections those are the like the folders the individual folders with in that drawer of that filing cabinet opening that your usual folded his want to Rifle through here all right and then we're going to click into this section here Fine Arts let's a dissection and now we have all the pages here the individual pieces of paper within that folder within that within that filing cabinet all right I'm so realistically these are the categories. This is just a way of organizing your page is right this is just one way to do it it's really every school has a method I recommend kind of playing around with it scene works for you I couldn't give you an idea of what our page editor is look like here's one of your Fine Arts look see all right now I just kind of General overview get if you're really looking to go in and start editing Pages have a lot of questions. They recommend checking out that help center from the top bottom here you can choose different layouts here now you see over here on this hide and this I hear we have over here this line here let me go ahead and hop into this page here in public View all right we see here we have our section when you okay so all of the pages within the section here are going to be listed here in the section menu we can see how these correspond what we're seeing here let me hop back into that page oh and one other thing to note here you see this logo here that means that this this page here is in our site navigation up here will happen navigation in a second here but I better just a and if there's going to happen here you can choose different layouts for your page of this when we are utilizing the hero image way as any of these up here that has that this horizontal bar at the top that means there is a hero image for that layout in this case we have this one here and we get into the content of the page all right and then if we clicked when he's up here would not have the hero image now we come down here and then we can start editing at the specific content for this page you know you can add different he's a Content photos files things like that I recommend checking out the help center article give you a quick glimpse of what our page management looks like all right but I'm kind of going back to where we just talk what about site navigation if we come up here to the hamburger drop down menu go to State Management site navigation this is where we can make changes to what we see up here pager okay see here this is a site navigation every sites going to have one yours might look different you know every every size different but you you are going to have sight navigation here and that is how you can access here is one important thing to know is here so we have all these containers at the top right up here about economic activities these can only be added or removed by either technical support or your client success specialist you want a new container reach out to them and they go ahead and quickly I don't forgot to reach out to your client success specialist at something they could do for you in 2 seconds if we get to them if you want one of these added or removed but if you want to go ahead and edit any of these at at the name and what's on either you can do that on your own Michael top back over here alright so we have this one about are we over over that we can see all the different pages and features listed there so that's what these all are here so we click lidom this is where we can go in we can select a page all right so this is going to give us all of our pages right so we have the categories listed here and then the section and then we open that up we have the different pages so we can select one of these if we again category and in a different section all right going to pick one at random here okay alright so we got that we can go and we can change the page here if we wants you know add a different title up here if you'd like over here we can link to outside at what address is if you'll give us something you know external we want to link to Pace that address right there we want to add a file a lot of schools were add Ivan's going to act like a task schedule a PDF things like that that's where you can go ahead and add that and over here are our feature pages I so you can select a different feature so these won't be for these Pages specifically will not be found in your page management these are what hold our feature Pages we'll get some of them together here with our calendar feature here too if you have a specific calendar on your site that you wanted me to hear you could do that are contact us form going to take a look at that in a second I'm directions food menu things like that but I definitely recommend coming over here and just hopping around each individual module in a week look up here just hop into each one here play around with it see what works for your school what doesn't you might be using some you might not be using some of them I really recommend is coming in and getting to know each and every one of these are you find The Help Center articles in a lot of them are are pretty self-explanatory it's one of the things we pride ourselves on all right now come over here and when we go forms at one of the other things I think you should do once you log into admin site for the first time as a new webadmin converter forms here in a you're going to have access to all your forms just go in and see if there's like one specifically like let's say was supposed to say this from the 2022 23 school photo order form you think hey I should be getting emails whenever somebody makes a submission it is and I want to be notified whenever something like that happens I do go over here to the three dots for my options you can go ahead and add yourself here to ensure that you get a notification email every single time a form is submitted a response that for me to measure I should say I'm just I recommend doing also recommend doing that with our contact us for me that is one of those feature Pages we were looking at before in this site navigation remember feature Pages aren't give me access to page management their individual features right now the contact that can be found by going to site management settings come over here to contact alright want to come down here every single other site has contact us page this is how you can find it here again it can be added to your site navigation by adding it as a feature page but it's generally going to look like this you know your school's address phone fax any information like that and just wants you to add their name email address message thing like that so if you want to make sure you are getting a copy of these every time they are submitted come over here to recipients are here and add your email address there to make sure that you are getting a copy of those responses next up I do want to look at Google analytics I know you're trying to get more information about who's visiting your say how they're getting there I think it's pretty invaluable especially for for private schools you know if you're relying on enrollment things like that a Google analytics can be your best friend so they recently switched things up a little bit here so I do recommend coming over to The Help Center we have a great help center article all about adding a Google and analytics ID I'm especially with the recent changes made to Google analytics I will give you a step-by-step manual on how to go ahead and what is a lot that can be pulled from Google analytics at all we do recommend that you go ahead and add it to your site where you can pull engagement the other side content page visits things like the active users demographics in age-group gender things like that acquisition right like how people are getting to your site you know are they coming there from social media are they coming there from you know Google search things like that that's very important especially for private school so still here in settings so you can go ahead and come on down here to SEO and marketing and that is where you can go ahead and enter that Google is a Google analytics ID can come over here to our house center if you just search Google analytics you can find this helps in the article we give you step-by-step instructions on how to do that go see your analytics in about 24 hours or a 24 hours from adding that so definitely recommend adding that if you can all right before we wrap up a couple final recommendations really when you jump in here when you jump into your admin site you should jump into every single module here and learn about all the different functionalities and how they relate to your site again see what features work for your school and your school's needs I'm going to pick up here you might not be seeing everything that I'm that I'm seeing here so I can broadcast iosp by edlio some of these are add-on features reach out to your client success specialist if you want more information we had help center articles on them to give you that will give you like a rundown of what they do broadcast it's a great way to get you no communication after school Community thank you voice calls text messages emails great great way to go ahead and collect payments for your school especially it integrates with our forms feature so you're trying to collect money for clubs activities yeah you know school plays Athletics things like that it is pretty valuable asset reach out to your client success if you do not have those yet they'll give you more information on those but again the modules around here in your DMs play around see what works will doesn't work for you until you recommend doing that last thing I brought them up a million times during this but make yourself known to your client success specialist re-challenge they hate I am in with admin at such-and-such school just wanted to get in contact with you know your client success specialist degree ones reaching out to you with noob products you know different
