April 24th - Google Classroom & Edlio Classes (part 1)
Google Assignments in Edlio
Previously, Edlio Classes connected to Google Classroom had a one-way sync of assignments from Edlio to Google: assignments created in Edlio appeared in Google, but assignments created in Google didn’t appear in Edlio.
Now, assignments created in Google Classroom will be automatically imported into Edlio!
For example, this assignment was created in Google Classroom:
The assignment has now been imported into Edlio.
When viewing the assignment list in the CMS admin, the teacher can use the “Edit in Google Classroom” link to quickly jump to the assignment in Google.
On the public website, students and parents can see all assignments listed, regardless of whether the teacher created the assignment in Edlio or Google.

Additionally, the Class and Assignments pages are easier to understand:
- Class names are in the page titles.
- Page titles are coded better to help with accessibility.
- Class info box on the right has a cleaner look that fits better with the school’s site design.
- Google & subscription buttons are more modern looking with clearly labeled actions.
- Assignments page includes breadcrumbs back to class overview page
