This is a 15-minute training on Edlio Pay products and pricing types. We show you how to create products with variable or fixed pricing, as well as obligations.

Welcome to our 15 minute lunch and learn webinar. Thank you so much for joining us today! Today we will be focusing on how to create a product. If you have not yet taking the Basics Bookkeeper Training, you're still welcome to join, but we do recommend you sign up for the training. We also have a technical representative in the chat today that can answer any questions that you may have. We are going to wait a little bit to see if more people join. We will get started shortly! (pause) (pause) (pause) (pause) (pause) We can get started! Like I said, welcome everyone! We are going to be talking about products set up today. So this screen should look familiar. It is the OSMS Management Portal screen. This is where bookkeepers and staff members go in make products. So what you would do is you would sign in, select you school the drop-down menu. If you are a bookkeeper at one school then you would just select your school. You would go to Transactions - OSP Products. You would see that there is no products. You would go on the right hand side to add a new activity/obligations. You would select it. It is going to take you to another screen where you're going to input the information of the product. So for today, I am going to be putting up a field trip product/activity. So for the activity name, I would just put a description of it. Then in the short description down below I would put in the details of the field trip. So we are going to the zoo! In the short description, I would say our class is going to the zoo. The date. Which I can say August 1. Students must bring bag lunch. and then.. Students may bring money for the gift shop. okay Then for the sponsor/teacher email address, that is whoever is in charge of making sure that whoever needs to go on the field trip is going So essentially whoever is taking role. For this purpose, I am going to be selecting "Ali Aster". Then the last name and first name will populate. You can also put in the email address and if they're not in the system and put in their last name and first name. Then next time you come in to make a product for purchase, It will show up! So dates available for sale, we can start it today so the parents can go in and make purchases for the field trip today. Then we can say that the last day will be August 31st. (correction) I'm sorry July 31st. For the price types, we are going to select "Fixed". A fixed price type is a regular set fee that the parent cannot pay anymore and can't pay any less. For this purpose, we are going to put $150.00 The Fund Account is essentially where the money is going to go after the purchase has been made. The sales are batched. Sales done 1st-15th are deposited on the 16th. Then 16th-31st will be deposited next month on the 1st. Essentially you get 2 deposits. Every month on the 1st and 16th. For this purpose we're just going to select field trip because it already has a category. I apologize my computer is being a little slow today. Give me a second! There we go! Now that it has been selected. We are going to save it. The way you know it is saved, is by activity number. For this purpose we are not going to select a grade level. If you have restrictions on a product that you only want like your Seniors to pay then you would select grade level. We are going to save it. Then I am going to show you how to make a variable price type. So we would go back to Transacactions - OSP products. Then I would do the same. I would go to "add new activity obligation". I am going to type in Donation. Then I can say thank you for your kind donation! Then for sponsor/teacher email address, it would be whoever is in charge of collecting these donations. The cool things about this is that bookkeepers love the donation product option because then they're able to go up to five years or more! That way the donations product can never come down. That way, the community, neighbors, and parents can always come in and make a donation to the school. so I'm going to go select Variabe. (price type) As you see, it is $0.00. So when they (parents) go into the parent webstore, they are able to input on how much they wish to donate. So they can donate $5, $50, $500, etc. Whatever they wish. So for the Fund Account, again, this time I am going to select General Fund. I am going to "save" It is taking a little bit. Sorry about that.. But let me show you the parent webstore. There we go! Our Field Trip has come up so then that way the parent can go in and make the field trip purchase. I apologize my computer is being really slow. But the parent can go in and make any purchase that they want regardless. Thank you so much for connecting with us today! I hope you learned a little bit on creating products.
