Good afternoon everyone, today we're going to be covering teacher pages and how to setup your teacher page if you are new to your school or district. So as you can see this is going to be our dashboard, once your, once your school administrator has created your account for you in user management, this is the screen that you're going to see when you log in. So you're going to want to start with a couple of things. You can come up here to this account drop down and this is where you're going to update any necessary information in your profile. Right here we can add your photo if you'd like to upload a photo. That's what's going to show in the staff directory. You would simply click the pencil and you can drag-and-drop an image here or click on the link to upload your photo. If you need to add any additional information, like if your name changes, or if your email changes, you can come to edit your profile, and this is where you would do so. If you needed to add a title, you wanted your full name, any particular position, and any additional information. When we click here, this is going to show some extra information that some schools like to use, like phone, and cities, depending on your district specific requirements. Once you've added that information click save, and then we click home and we're redirected back to our dashboard here. So now we can start building out our actual page. So we can do one of the few things. We can use our dashboard buttons here, or we can come to the hamburger menu and go through all of our options here. I think it's a good idea to start with pages because you want your your parents and students to be able to find your page, see what information you have. So then when we come over here to pages, this is where we're going to start building out our teacher pages. So we will add a page, and these are going to be our page options. So let's start with the blank page so we can have a little landing page for when people come to our teacher page. Always remember to give it a title. And then here is where we're going to be adding our content. So we'll click add and we can add our content box, we can add photos, and we can also add files. And as with any other pages we have all of our formatting options at the top. So we can give it some bold, we can do center here, you can add as much content as you would like. If you needed to hyperlink to any outside source you can absolutely do that here. You can also change your text color as well. And we have our normal formatting options here. And then once we're done with that you're going to want to hit publish. Now you can see we have that content there. Again, as with any page, we can add photos. We're going to have the option to either rotate or stack the photos. The accepted file types will always be in the bottom left-hand corner. You can drag-and-drop or you can click upload here, and choose to upload from your computer. We can also add files if you had a class syllabus that you wanted to upload, you would do so here. If you had multiple files you also have the option of putting them in A to Z order, custom, Z to A, and we accept any file type there. You also have the option here when you're inside your content boxes, to make it a collapsible item box. So this is going to be another way to organize any information that you're going to be needing rather than having a long list of items on your page, you can have a title, and then you can add information underneath that. So let's go ahead and add another content box so I can show you how that works. We're going to have it be a collapsible box and we're going to need to give this little collapsible section a title. When you click outside it's going to go ahead and add that there, and you'll see also here the little arrow indicating that this is a collapsible content box. Always remember to click publish and now we've got this particular page ready for us to view. Now where are we going to view this? Remember that anytime you are a teacher and you are added to user management, that's going to appear in our staff directory. So we can scroll down here and we can find our teacher here, and you'll see we have that initial page that we created, we have our collapsible content boxes, and that initial text. Now when we navigate back, we can go ahead and continue to build out our personal page. So let's go ahead and navigate back. And you can see now we have one page so we can now add more pages to start building out all of our information. We can have a page for links specifically. And we can go ahead and click save. So now we have our links here, you can add as many links as you want, you can also have separate link categories if you wanted to categorize your links that way. So when we come back to our main dashboard and we come back to our pages, you're going to se here now we have two pages that live within our personal page. When we come back to the live site and we hit refresh, you're going to see our section menu beginning to populate here. So each time we add a page we're going to have our menu grow. We can also drag and drop if you need to rearrange the pages. We can also add a calendar here, a photo album, any videos you'd like, or if you needed to redirect your families to any other page we can link to another page here. Let's go ahead and add our calendar. And just like the main Edlio calendar we're going to click add event, and now we can start adding our events to the calendar. We can add our dates and times or whether it's an all-day event, whether this item repeats, let's say we're going to have pizza day every Friday. So we can add that there. You can add a location and of course any additional details you need here. Again, if you needed to link to an outside source you could do so here, or you can add an image as well here. Click save. And now you can see because we made this a repeating event, today January 24th we have pizza day, and next Friday as well. We'll come here to the live site, hit refresh, and now our calendar is populated in our section menu. When we click on that you can see every single Friday from here on out we have our pizza day. We can also click show calendar if you wanted to see it in a calendar view, which is also printable so you can print that out and post it on your fridge. You can also click show all events and that's going to bring you to this calendar view here. You also have the option to go back to the calendar view we were just looking at to print, to look at the entire year, or to subscribe. This is going to be one of the more popular features so parents can go ahead and follow along and receive an email at the end of the day, once a day that shows any of the new calendar events that you have added as a teacher. When we come back to plan you can also use the facilities. The facilities is going to be a way if you need to reserve a room for example, you would do so here. Now this must be approved by a website administrator, so they will need to give you access to this and then once the facilities request is sent in, they would approve or deny, and then you would be notified. When we come to announce, we can also send out emails from our email sender. The email sender is a great way to send out a nice digest to parents, you can ad images, news stories. So here is just asking me to go ahead and double check my information, and then now we can select which template layout we'd like to use. The first two layouts as you can see, this one includes the calendar events. So all of the events that we've added to our calendar here will begin to populate here. We can also include one with the news feed. So any of the news feed that is going to be on the homepage of your website will also appear in this as well. Then we have the options of adding content with images, and just a few other fun layouts. So we'll start with this one here. You would add any of your recipients here. You can upload them in bulk using a CSV file, or you can click add existing, and that's going to come from any of the contact lists that you've already set up. You will also need to add a subject. You're going to want to add your message here. And again, just like in our normal content boxes, you have some formatting options as well. You also have the option to select when this newsletter is going to be delivered. We can send now or we can schedule it for another date and time. So if you like to plan ahead that's a great option, if you have some service hours on a Wednesday and you want to send your newsletter out on a Friday you could go ahead and do that ahead of time. Should you decide that you aren't sure you want this layout that you've chosen here, you can click this and it'll start back over. You can also preview the email before you send it, and it's going to show you what it would look like on the desktop and on a mobile device. Let's go back to our dashboard here, and then we have our contact lists. So what a lot of people like to do is set up their contact lists at the beginning of the school year so you have all of your parents information in one place. Because this is my personal page it's showing my name, what type of contact list it is, the number of contacts, anybody else associated with it. I can also create a new list if I wanted to. And then we would either add contacts manually or we can add them in bulk using a CSV file right here. When we add a single contact, it's going to be simply, quickly entering it in. Now we can see that we have our one recipient here, so when we're sending out those newsletters we can decide are we going to be sending out the newsletter to the PTA, are we going to be sending it from the personal page, let's say it's all of the parents that are going to be listed for your class for that year. When we come back to our hamburger menu, we can also add media. We have photos and videos that can be added. You can go ahead and create separate albums if you'd like, or you can just add a bunch of images here, and you could simply upload by clicking, and then you can add the album name. Okay, and then now you would go ahead and drag and drop an image here. We can just go ahead and add a quick image here. We'll go ahead and click upload. Simple as that. Now let's say we're all done here, we need to add our alternative text, and now we've got our one image in our math class album. Let's come back to our live site, come to our staff directory again, navigate back to the page, and now you can see again our section menu continues to grow. We've added our photo album here. And we have our math book. Now you always have the option to make your personal page as fun as you want. So if we wanted to add images to our welcome page or to the section menu on the side, we could absolutely do that as well. You can adjust the font sizes here. So let's say we don't want our supplies to be listed here because we have them already in our collapsible content box, let's just go ahead and delete that. And then we'll just add placeholder text here, or if we wanted we could even insert an inline image. Let's say we are going to focus on math today, so we're going to add math book of the week. And then we can insert our image here, we'll click save, and now we have our book of the week that is saved here. Remember to click publish and you'll see right here that we're good to go, so let's do a refresh, and now you can see we have our inline image with our book, we still have our boxes here with our content, we have all of our information here in the section menu. Now as we come back to our main dashboard, if your administrator, website administrator, has set up a term, you're then going to be able to add classes. So in this case our administrator has set up a current term otherwise this would not be showing up. So we can go ahead and start adding our classes and adding our assignments. You can see here this is our active term, if there were multiple terms to choose from you would go ahead and check that off. Again, your website administrator must set up these terms before you're able to add any classes or assignments. We can add a file if we'd like to here. And then if you happen to teach this class with another teacher then you can go ahead and share this particular class by clicking yes, and then you can search any of the other teachers that are listed in the staff directory. We can go ahead and click save here, and now you can seewe have the option to add an assignment. You'll see now our period one and period three math has showed up. So when we click our assignment we can start adding our assignments and our due dates. So your calendar will come up here. And we'll say period one is due next week. Again if we needed to add any files here we could. So now you can see in period one the one assignment that we added, it's showing us that it is due next Friday. Let's come back to our site and refresh, and you'll see now the classes have populated at the bottom of our welcome page. When we click on math period one, you're going to see the course name, what semester, and exactly what your assignment is. You also have the option to see all of them if there was a list, if the teacher had uploaded multiple assignments way ahead of time. And something that has like just like the calendar that's super popular to subscribe to, parents also subscribe to the classes and assignments to go ahead and keep up with their children's individual assignments. So when you click subscribe, this here is what we're going to need to fill out. We can select parent, guardian, student, or other. In this case I'll be the parent. We click subscribe and now at the end of the day if there are any updates made, you will receive an email saying which assignments are updated, and when they are due. Now where does this information go again? We have our contact lists, so that's going to be another way for you to go ahead and reach out to parents should you need to. You can see now we have four that have been populated. This one was automatically populated because of my personal page. This was the custom contact list that we created for the PTA. And because I teach period one and period three math, I now have two additional contact lists. The parent that just registered, if we click on the list, their information will show up here. When we click the three dots we can always edit this, or if you need to do a bulk download of all of the individuals that are in the contact list you could do so here. Now we can also add a quick post, this is just a fun way to get some information across real easily and just like when we're in our pages, you have these options here as well. And they're going to be color coded so they'll start populating here as you add them. We can also specify where this is going to be posted to. Is this going to just my personal page? Is this going to all of my math classes? So let's just say we just want to put this on the personal page. We can click save, and you'll see here because we added the text, the red corresponds here. We can also add links. And save. Always remember to add your alt text. We'll have this post to all of our pages here, we can click save. Now when we come back, let's go ahead and do a refresh, come back to our main personal page, and you'll see the post that we just created show in a little feed here. So we have our math book, our Google, our pizza Friday. And just as a fun little interactive tool, we can click the little apple and that's going to be a little like tool right there. Just a fun way for your community to interact with your posts. You can also see if that post has now been added to our section menu. So we have the post here as well. You can also add files and videos. So now we have it come through all of our modules here, which are also going to be listed here, and as always we have, you have the option of navigating to the Edlio help center should you need any tips and tricks on any of the things we've talked about. And if you have any problems you can also contact our Edlio support department. The help center is going to have some great help articles and since we were talking about back to school teacher pages, we have a whole section based just on that. So you can come here and all the things we've talked about will be listed here in easy-to-use articles in the help center. Should you need to submit a tech support case you can do that as well. And you also have the option to reach out to your dedicated client success specialist and they'll be able to help you and walk you through all of the steps that we've talked about today. So just as a recap, our personal page, it lives here in the staff directory. So anybody who has a personal page will be able to be viewed here. You can see that this particular teacher has a really fun personal page that they've built out with images, lots of text, so they can keep all of their community really interacting with all of their upcoming events. So just like the one we created we have a welcome page, we have our calendar that we can subscribe to, this is going to be an individual page that was added in page management. Those links that we added, we've got them here as well. Those quick posts, they're showing up here in the feed as well as at the bottom of the welcome page. And of course we have our photo albums, you can see this teacher here has added two separate albums. So you'll see here the post down at the bottom, and all the people who've liked them here.
