hello everyone Welcome to our at Leah webinar for today I will be going over at pages and a staff directory on your patients there is a support representative in the chance if you have any questions please feel free to go ahead and ask them and they will ask them for you so we're going to go over the site navigation and pages and all that that can be a little confusing for some of our users how they are organized you how your pictures are organized and how they relate to the SSI navigation so you should do when your admin site and you had two pages you will see your categories a lot of users ask us why the categories don't match the navigation reason being is at the site navigation and the pages are independent from each other side navigation allows you to mix and match any links from any category you want and also when you add page to your your pages it is not automatically added as a side navigation like that does have to be done manually and also if you need to remove a page from the site navigation that also needs to be done manually for example if you go to one of these categories once you click on the category to education support once you click on a category you're presented with the section now the sections are, folders to organize your pages so all these Administration admissions advanced placement your all sections that hold pages so if I would have clicked you on admissions I see the eight pages that are in this category so these are all and the pages are in a section normally recommended sections contain pages that are related to each other in one way or another and why do we recommend that so for example say I created all these Pages here and instead of having eight links in my site navigation here I can only have one link to the first page which is why adliya college prep and this will give access to to all the other pages to our visitors so if you start having every single page that's listed in your pages on your side navigation eventually it's going to get pretty long so if I go to my site navigation here and I say I want to add a new link here and I'm put it under about us and I can tell for the relish here I can select you have a couple different options so I'm going to go ahead and link to a section or page when I click select the page and I'm going to look for admissions and I'm going to click Wyatt Leo College Prep let me see a cake. and always make sure you kick a Play Changes I go back to my site here and refresh the page I will see that now I have a Linda says yleo college prep so they could I can see the first page and I can also have access to the rest of the pages so many pages are has to do with admissions to appeal college prep. So this is something you still need to do for example if you have PTA organization you can have all the pages on the PTA you can have all the pages of the hopper and roll grades or anything like that you can create sections for these Pages related to put them all together so you just have to have one length on your side navigation eliminate meant a lot of legs usually when parents you a lot of things done so they can get a little lost so using sections can really help you bring the number of links down give me just a little bit more Streamlight so if I keep adding pages to the section so I go back to my pages cushion support admissions and I adhere on your page can I go ahead and add a blank page and I'm going to title this how to enroll I'm just going to go ahead and save it so you hear the bottom of the page I have my new page called how to enroll say go back to my page and refresh you can see that cite the side navigation here automatically updates to include any new pages at you at a section they do it automatically appear here on the side menu now if you wanted to have a link directly to how to enroll you can go ahead and add it to your site navigation as well so you can put direct links to certain pages if you wish I know some pages can be more important than others so you can do that as well but it's just not in the truly missed her to have a link for every single page in your side navigation but you can also have him Pages now that we can look at to the staff part is a staff page for each section so if I go to Adam you page an exact staff now you'll see that there isn't any staff so for example so you had an admissions all your mission staff that work in the accounting office or admissions the way to add people to the staff page you have to go as an admin what are your user management find your users here so for example I have Tim Robbins in here I'm going to go ahead and edit his profile and I'm going to scroll down to find the section so here that mission and he I'm going to put him as admissions I'm going to put a mess stats once I save and I go back to the page you will see that Tim Robinson is now part of the staff word missions so you can designate which users are part of a staff for the section on the live site where that looks is is any staff link click on it and you'll see Tim Robinson is not part of the admission staff so you can have a stye obituary section so for example say you wanted to go Section for every grade you have in your school first grade second grade third grade you got a section for first grade section for second grade section for third and each one can have it have its own staff page you could go to the users Kroger at a profile and Adam a staff to the corresponding section this way you can have for example first grade I have a staff and then you can put all the teachers or anybody that belongs to the first grade section along any of the pages that are pertaining to first grade Insight navigation when you add a new item you do have a few different options you can do there is other pages I can be out of here the other options are URL which is any URL that you want to ask weather in San inside page page external site but it would be the district side where they would be somewhere to for your service to go and get dirty materials on there you can put any URL that you want in here file you can have any file PDF file directly into the site navigation some school bell schedules of the lunch menus formation loaded directly into sign allegation when the parents click on the link that will automatically open that PDF and the last one is future page so any features that are built into your every other side can also be linked on your side navigation and those include in academic departments schedules calendar different departments food menu seasoning can be added to your sign obligation so if you want to have a link to your photo album go ahead and check out your page cake photo album it automatic the same as a feature but of course this can be changed if you wish I'm just go ahead and cook done check apply changes back to the homepage and you'll notice that there's now a photo of them page click on it takes me into the photo album hey you're saying immigration is very flexible as to what links you want to go together or you can have different links from different sections on different categories there is no set way to make a sign on vacation it's more preference and what you think your parents will have an easier time navigating also in Pages there is no limit to how many sections you can have inside a category the categories are limited to six categories but inside when you click on them there is no limit to how many sections you can have you can have an unlimited amount section and then also inside the section there is no limit to how many pages you can have inside the sections so as far as how to organize your pages again that is entirely school at the preference whatever makes it easier for the school to organizer Pages there is no set way as to what section belongs in which category that is entirely up to each individual School once you click into your pages then other way instead of if you say do you want have a page that you know longer need or there's a page that you don't want to have to have Publix at the moment and you don't want us to Siri delete it there is a way to unpublish pages so if you click on the section and you find the page that you're looking for you can click on the blue dots and click publish so this will hide it from the public view it it but it does not delete the page all the information if you are go ahead and click on is still available in here you can also unpublish pages from inside the page builder here and once you're ready to have the paycheck be viewable again you just go ahead and take publish so just to show you as an example if I go to that section you'll see that there is no how to enroll page as soon as I go back here and click publish and I refresh my life site you notice at the house Monroe is Back Pages at all and I have to be up for shrimp are the year if there's a paycheck every year comes around you have to update the information but you don't want to delete you can go ahead and publish it will be hearing from even if somebody has a direct link it will say this page not found so it's not readable by the public site other options that you can do as you can also move a page so we decided this particular page belongs in a difference you can go ahead and move it so you click your move and then you just click which category you want to move it to so I say I'm going to move it to closing activities you take care and it's going to show you all the different a sections within that category so if I say I want to move it to band and I could move the band isn't the habanero is now in the band section under clubs and activities individual pages will you cannot do is move an entire section into another section you have to do each single page individually and then you can delete the section that no longer is empty. any pages so Pages can be moved between sections with no problem of the sections intersection the function it cannot be moved to another section also had a hat very handy feature oh that comes in useful when you have a lot of pages on your side is a search Pages option sometimes you might not know especially if you're near to school or there's a lot of people that manage the pages I think they might add a page you're not exactly sure where they added the page to which section are you don't have to go searching for it where you can do just search by the title of the page for example how to enroll you can see here and tell me if there's a page titled how to enroll under activities in the band section it takes me directly to that page so that's where you again if you have tons of pages and you have no idea where the pages located or somebody additive tell you where they put it but they ask you to edit the page you can go ahead and search for it by the title of the page usually the title the page is what is on top example BYL Eagle College Prep if I go to the back end go back to pages if it starts hurting why at Leo and you'll see the page and I see why I look go ahead and click on it and you will see the page category options you can rename the categories if you if you could take category options you can also buy them as well you can also hide them so if you don't need all six categories that you only need 5 you can go ahead and hide them here you can also have them display bread crumbs bread crumbs are kind of like another navigation to that are for your visitors and these are the links all right all right up here is Paige Wyatt Leo College admissions takes me to admission to the bank location support it takes me to that section so you can choose to either display them you can choose to but you can also choose to decide which Pages their appearance are going to have one answering Pages you can go ahead and decide that in the category options and just make sure you always click save changes to make sure that things
