Good afternoon everyone. Thank you so much for joining us today for our voice messaging and text alerts webinar. Today we will be covering how to voice messaging and text alerts for your district or your school. We also had a technical support representative in the chat today, who can answer any questions you may have. The webinar is being recorded and will be accessible to everyone in the help center. So let's actually go ahead and get started. Our voice and text features are add-on features so if you do not see it in your admin site that is why. If you're interested in adding voice and text please reach out to your client success specialist for more information. If you are not sure who your client success specialist is, please reach out to client success at Edlio.com So I am going to flip over to the admin site here and I'm going to sign in. And if you have voice and text available the first area that I want to go into is found by going into your hamburger drop down menu, going down to site management, and clicking on 'voice and text settings'. So we can actually set up our settings before we actually send out text alerts and voice messages. So our voice messages by default are set by a pool of numbers. But you have the option to set up a caller ID specifically for voice messages. You will need to enter your school numbers here and click on call number. On the screen you'll see about a 4 to 5 digit code that will appear so once you receive the phone call you will need to enter verification phone number verification number and the connection will be eight text alerts are sent from a pool of numbers and the reason is because carriers may actually block both text messages I'm a single phone number so choosing from a pool number actually ensures a fast and reliable delivery of your text messages that you are sending out your parents will actually receive the text message alert from the same num each time so the best practice would be to have the parents say the number of the School contact so they know who the owner is being fat we're just going to go ahead and leave the caller ID as now once you have your voice and text setting and church here we want to go into how you're actually sending the alert and to do that you need to click on the hamburger and under announce you'll see text alerts and you'll see voice messages let's click on text alerts when you are if you send alerts before you'll actually be able to view them here and if you sneeze three dots listed right here when you click on them you can review your alert so it'll show you what it looks you can also click on recipients and see who it was sent to you can also copy as well can you see it stops so when you click on Satchel get kind of a general certificate you also be able to see who has opted out as well I'm going back into text alert if you wanted to go ahead and send a new alert only to do here is quick on you alert your first option that you're going to see here is your recipient and you have a couple options here of how you can add whoever is going to receive the alerts you can manually enter in a phone number you can add for the existing and what this means is any list that you have populated under an ounce and contactless you would be able to directly pull into your alert so when we click at existing you would see all of the list we already have under contact list and you can select as many as you'd like to and click on ADD then your next option that you have as well so if you don't have the list currently saved under contact list when you click on the ad from CSV you can download our template put in all the contact info drop in the file here and it'll go ahead and add anyone that you put in the Pac-12 option that you have as well as if you're using sis with your Advil website you could so you think if you're interested in more information since the FIS portion is an add-on, you're more than welcome to reach out to you but with the three options that you see here you can use all of them at the same time so you can add manually you can use as many list of you already have or you can also ask them if you happy then we'll see our messages so you can actually type out your entire message here and it'll tell you how many character you use and how many you have left for your text or you also see a couple tips right here so any announced messages containing more than a hundred sixty character they're going to be split up and send in different messages so just keep that in mind when you're heading out your alert just as a reminder You may wish to reminder recipients how to control their message delivery so if they wanted to opt out they can text back. They can start to opt-in or they can type help for more options your last option here is delivery so if you're ready to go ahead and send the text alert you would just click on 10 now if you wanted this to go out at a later date and time so you could click on send later to the date and choose the time here this is if you wanted to send a text alert let's go ahead and go over to our voice messages which is found under an ounce and voice messages here DeWitt voice messages text alert you're going to see all of the ones that you've previously previously sent if you click on the three. You can review your message you can again and you can copy as well you can also the statistics for your voice messages as well just like we were able to do with the excellent and when you're ready to create a new message again you just click here on you message Yoshi the same options for your recipient again you can manually enter in the phone number you can add from existing you can even add from a CSV file and again keep in mind you can do these options as many times as you'd like to for sending out your voice message or your text alert now for the message portion be subject this is just for your records only so you know specifically what the message was that for so maybe it was a Mite message. biscuit label the message so if you ever wanted to go back to it you know that this message has already been sent now in regards to sending out the message you can type out the message that you would like to go out so I could be something like back to school night will be tomorrow at 6 p.m. or what you can do is you can enter in your phone number and have it call you and you can actually record the message that you would like to be sent out so you can use either one of these options here and again just as a reminder that at the end Beach Boys location the recipient will be able to opt out of receiving messages so they will be given that option and of course when we scroll down gency just like text alert that you have your delivery options listed here so again you can send now or you can choose to send at a later date and time cuz this of course is our Voice and text which are add-on features and I also wanted to go over one more feature with you that everyone actually has that's already in in the CNS for you and that is our email sender which is another great communication tool to use as well and that can be found by going in an ounce clicking on email sender whippin offender you also see that you can view all of your messages here if you click on the three dots you can do the recipient you can get a report and you can also copy information as well but if you wanted to start a new email to go ahead and send out all we need to do is click on you email here and you'll see that we actually have I have been created for our team for you and the two. We really like to mention or include your event and include your views what this means is that you could collect that include your event template I heard you're adding under use an event you're going to be able to populate it here into this tablet and then within Krueger news it would only be including your new account so I'll actually show you what Oak Creek on Inquisitor events which allows you to add both your calendar event and your use that you're creating here and click on continue you'll see that actually click into each section of the template to add your relevant information when you click here this is where you're pulling events directly from your calendar on your website and that is done by Christina and you can select as many events as you would like to hear click on that bendy section right next to it is where you're including stories from your news so when you click on ADD news you can also select as many as you'd like to hear and click on that now you'll notice with the news you can change the order so if you wanted one to take priority over the other you could go ahead but with the events you will not be able to change the order and you of course have some text areas that you can fill out and it was course you're ready you've entered and everything for your email you can items save and exit and come back to it it will save it as a dropped or if you click on continue it will take you to a screen and you will see again your recipient option so you can manually enter in your recipients you can add from your existing contacts that you already have in contact list or you can choose to add from the CSV file you can of course enter in your subject you can choose a send now or at send later for the delay and then you can also preview what your email is going to look like so when we click on preview email you'll see what it looks like on a phone Angel also see what it looks on a desktop version and then we can return to message and if this is ready to go you can of course go ahead and send out the message don't keep in mind that you know Thunder is a feature that is already available. everyone and Voice and text that we were covering here under announce these are at all so again I would like to recap if you would like any additional information on Voice and text or even f is please reach out to your client success Specialist or again if you're uncertain of who your client success specialist that you can email client success at NBA and we'll of course that you connected with your kind especially and I wanted to thank everyone for joining us today we will be here for just a few more minutes if anyone does have any questions and we hope everyone the wonderful day and thank you so much again for joining our my embryo weather
