Kenneth Owen, an Atlanta native, has worked for Cherokee County SD for almost 20 years. After 11 years managing the Educational Programs Division, he moved into Financial Management and was named Chief Financial Officer in 2015. He and his team oversee the accounting, auditing, treasury management, payroll, procurement, records retention and school nutrition functions of the school district and manage a $720M budget.
