Hi everyone thank you so much for joining our FAQ webinar today. Today we're going to be answering questions about some of the most used modules and I'm going to be showing you how to use them. So this is going to be our home page here and when we log into our admin site this is what your dashboard is going to look like. So let's go ahead and let's start with our calendars. So you can click on any of the modules here, or you can come up to the hamburger menu in the top left hand corner. [Navigating on screen] We come to our calendars. This is we're going to be adding our events and selecting which calendar specifically that we're going to be adding to. So we'll click add event. You're going to select which calendar you would like your event to go to and our title. [Typing] [Typing] So go ahead and add our time and location here. [Typing] We'll have this repeat, everyday until after our graduation. We'll put our location and any additional details that will need here. You have the option just like in your pages, to customize your text with our rich text formatting. And if we need to link anywhere we can add a link or if upload any files we can do so here. [Navigating on screen] We always need to alternative text to any of our images and now we can click save. Once we do that, you'll see that our graduation calendar event has been added to our calendar. So when we scroll down to the day you'll now see our new event here. So when we navigate back to the live site and we do a refresh [Navigating on screen] to our calendar we can scroll through our events. Or we can click show all events and then we'll have all of our update events here on our calendar. When we click on our event or brought to all of the content here. The image or file that we've uploaded and then you have the option; you can copy it to your calendars here. Alright we come back and then if we want to make any announcements in particular to our news or Spotlight messages you can do so here. So we come to announce and let's add a new news article. We click add news and then we're going to select which place we want this to go. So we're wanting our story to go to our news and announcements section. [typing] [typing] [typing] And again down here in our content we can add our text. We can format anything here. We also can link to a file or link to another page. If we need to cite our sources or link to sources we can do so here and of course we have our photos or file that we want to upload. Add our alternative text. And then we have our options to post now or we can schedule this for a later date if you're planning ahead. We go ahead and click save here and now we're brought to the screen with additional options where we can push this information. So we can send it to any of our social media or Facebook or our Twitter if we have those linked in our settings. We can create a homepage pop-up alert with this news article. And then we can also send it out via text or app alerts or the Email Center. So let's go ahead and make this a homepage pop-up alert. As you can see here now we have it checked off. So when we navigate back to our live site we will be able to see our pop-up alert and it's going to default at 24 hours. However it's if it's something that you need cancelled sooner, you can click turn off or you can edit here. And now you can see that article that we posted, we have now a homepage pop-up alert. If we click okay the pop-up alert will disappear, but anytime you navigate back to the site it's going to continue to pop-up. If you click don't show again, that's going to go ahead and disable it. So it doesn't keep popping up every time you come back to the homepage and then we have read full story. Which is going to take us directly to that news story that we posted here. We can like it and we can also print it it's something that you need to print out. So when we come back to the homepage you'll see this once again has popped up so I'm going to click don't show again. When we come back down to our news and announcements you can see that info is here. All right. Now we also have the option while we're in an announce to update our Spotlight message. So this can be anything from your school's motto to a principals message anything that you really want to highlight or Spotlight on your homepage. So we're going to go ahead and we're going to edit this particular spotlight message, cause this website happens to have more than one. So we're going to go ahead and update this with some more graduation information. We'll go ahead and change our title here. [typing] We'll go ahead and add our new photo. If we need to add any additional files we can also right here. [typing] You also have the option to include a read more link. So we like to keep that check so people know that when they click on it there is additional information to be found here in the spotlight message. We click save. Now we come back You can see now that our welcome message has now turned into a graduation message. When we click our read more here, it brings us to that Spotlight message and the image we have uploaded here. Another great way to get any important information across that's going to stay living on your homepage until you edit it. Another way to get some information across is going to be using the email sender! The email sender is going to be built in and if you have contact list already created you can go ahead and attach those to the email or you can send out one email individually. It can be sent to like I said a group of people or just one little small section of people. So let's create a new email here. These templates are going to give you options to customize the way that your email looks. The first two are going to also include our news or our events that we have our homepage. So we'll click news. Continue. And then you can see here we have our news is going to be living in the middle of our email. And then we have content that we can add on top and below. [typing] [typing] We can go ahead and change our formatting if we like. We want to update a color we do so here. If you needed any other additional formatting options they would also live right here. So we're going to go ahead and add a little bit more down here. Click continue and then we have the option to send from one or multiple emails here and then our recipients go here. Like I said you can manually add them or you can bulk upload from a CSV or you can use any existing contact list that you may have. And we can send us now or we can schedule this to be sent at a later date. If we want to see what this looks like before we send out the email. We can come up to preview email, just to make sure it looks exactly like you want it to. It'll show you what it looks like on a mobile device. And then what it will look like in the email. So if we're ready to send we can save and exit. So now we have sent out the email to our contact list. So where are the contact list? The contact list are going to be right here on your dashboard. You have the option with contact list to create custom list, you can also have your personal pages or teacher pages contact list here and your class list. So if we wanted to create a new list, we would you click new list. Give it a title. [typing] Click add. And then again just like when we are in the email, we can add a single contact or we can add in bulk using a CSV or your SIS. So the contact information will be here. our email and any additional information that we're going to want to gather here. We'll click save and then you'll see our recipient here in our contact list. When we come back to our contact list. You'll see that we have our list by name, what type. So you can easily jump over to any of the list. So we have our class list here versus a custom list we just created. How many contacts are living inside that particular list. If it's a class list, it will list the teacher here and then the added by is going to be who added this here. So you can go ahead and keep track of that as well. When we click the three dots, we have the option to edit we can download the entire list to a CSV if we needed to export it to another program or if we no longer needed it we can click delete. Another great way to get important information across on the homepage is going to be your our home page widgets. We have two options. We have the form widget which is going to connect to one of those contact list and the button widget. Which is going to be a button on the homepage and when clicked it will redirect to any URL that you have attached with it. So let's do our form widget first. And wherever you drag and drop this, this is where it's going to live on the homepage. So keep in mind that you might not want it floating right in the middle because that could get in the way of any important contact. Okay. This is going to be the information that we collect. So we'll want to go ahead and get our first last and both email and phone number for our volunteers for graduation and then we need to select which contact list we are going to link this to. So you can see we have all of our list here. [scrolling] Now we have this linked to a list. So when people sign up their info will automatically go over into that graduation contact list that we created earlier. Now for a button, you can put that anywhere on the homepage as well and then this is simply going to redirect us to another page that we would want to go to. [typing] We click save and you can see our widgets have been saved. And we come back to the homepage and do a couple of refreshes and there they are. So we have our button widget that we have linked to weather so our graduation day you can click this and it'll tell you what the weather is like and then for those who want to volunteer for graduation they would sign up here and then click subscribe. Additionally you do have the option when you're on the homepage if this happens to be covering any content that you're looking at. You can go ahead and click the little X and it will minimize it for the time being. Now if we wanted, we can also link an informational page to our site navigation and to the button widget. So let's go ahead and come to pages, and academics. So you can see me here I've already started a new section called graduation. And then we have our pages here. So these our pages that we created, that have all of the information that we want to get across specifically for our graduation. So if we clicked into any of the pages we can go ahead and edit. This here were using as a landing page for the entire graduation 2020 section. If we wanted to rearrange the order that these are in. You would simply click the six little dots and move that up and then that's going to keep all of these in the order that you want them in. You want to see what this is going to look like before you add it to your site navigation. We can click this here and we have our graduation pages here. Our landing page. Our welcome page. Our form to sign up for graduation. Purchasing graduation tickets here and directions to our graduation. So if we wanted we could link this entire section to this homepage widget. So people can easily jump right over and get all that information. So we would just need to copy this link here and come back to our homepage widgets and just do a quick edit. [navigating on screen] So see now we can see here that it was immediately updated and when we click it brings us once again to that new graduation area that we want to highlight. Additionally we can also add that here into our site navigation. So we would come to site management and site navigation. And now we need to decide which area we want this live in. So let's go ahead and put it under academics and we'll create a new item. And now we need to decide what we're going to link our site navigation item to. Are we going to link it to a section or page. A URL. An individual file or one of our feature pages. So we're going to go ahead and link it to our graduation section that we created. And then if we want, since this is important we can go ahead and move that straight up to the top. We'll click save. You'll see that our changes have been saved. We will do a couple of refreshes. Now you can see our graduation section has been added to our site navigation. So just another way for you to get any important information across via our widgets, the site navigation. Our Spotlight message and any of our news and announcements. Another frequently asked question is. How do I remove users that are no longer working at our school? So we will come to site management, user management and as an administrator this is where you can add or remove or edit any of the users that are in the CMS. So here we can come down and we can select which individuals we no longer need access to the website, and then they'll pop down here to the disabled accounts. So will say that Timothy is no longer with the school. So we can come in and if we needed to delete him all together we could do so here, or if we just needed to just disable their account for the time being. We come all the way to the bottom and click disable. So that means this individual is no longer going to show up in the staff directory and they can no longer log in. When we come back to all users scroll down to the bottom you can see now he's been added here so this individual will not be able to login to the website and won't show up in the staff directory. If you need to edit any of your personal contact info or anyone else is simply click on their name. You can change your photo here. So at the beginning of the school year when everybody does their new class photos. They can add their beautiful new image here. We can also give individuals their user access and their edit access to what they can do on the website. So I am an administrator and so I have access to everything. However that would not be the case for all of your users here. So if you needed to give one of your individuals additional edit access, just go ahead and come into their account and we'll say that our teacher Miss Divya she is a teacher and she now needs to have edit access to our English Pages because she's going to be teaching English now. Click save. We come back to users and so now she's going to have access to our English. So those are going to be our most frequently used tools. If you ever have any questions or you're unsure how to to figure something out. Simply come up to our help drop down and click help center. And you'll be redirected to our amazing Help Center, where you can get help from our tech support team. You can also come here to the help articles, they will be in alphabetical order and there's going to be step by step instructions on how to update any of the modules.
