[Edlio Webinar] Connecting Edlio Pay to Your Edlio Website

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and get started! Hi, my name is Divya and today I'll be showing you how to connect your Edlio Pay webstore to your Edlio website. we have our tech support specialist, Matt Rugamas in the web chat to answer any questions you have. To access your chat, just go to the black dashboard in your zoom and if you don't see the chat option icon there click on the three dots under "more" and you'll see the chat option pop-up. And before I get started on our Edlio Pay topic I do want to remind you of the three support options you have, if you're ever stuck working on your website. Your first option is your dedicated Client Success Specialist. Every school is assigned a person from the Client Success Team who can answer questions via phone or email. If you don't know who your school's Client Success Specialist is, please email clientsuccess@edlio.com and I'm going to go ahead and drop that email in the chat as well. Your next support option is your Help Center. So, as you can see on my screen here, I am logged into the admin side of Sunset County and this is what your dashboard is going to look like if you admin access to your school and you'll see that there is a help option here and in the drop-down, if you click on Help Center, it will take you to the Edlio Help Center Page. This is a great resource to help troubleshoot any issues that you have and you can actually search for help articles, look at tips and tips we even have an Urgent Communication Guide and you can even meet our team members here. You can also watch our past webinars and videos like this one that's currently being recorded and will be available this week to view again. Now let's say you're looking for some information about how to connect calendars you can actually search for calendars here, and you'll get a pop-up or a webpage like this, that has a Calendars overview and it will give you a walkthrough and even screenshots on how to connect your calendar. So that is your Help Center. Your third support option is to contact Edlio Support. Now I just want to remind you this option will not be available if your site has not gone live yet. So your Edlio team is still working on your website, your best support resource is your Client Success Specialist or your Help Center. If you have gone live and you do have this option to contact support go ahead and click on that and it will take you to this page here where it all again go to The Help Center, you can contact your school's web administrator and then here there's a phone number for Edlio Support and the days and times that they are available. You can also submit a case when you click on "new case" here directly to Edlio Support. Please be as detailed as possible when you are submitting a case so they have all the information to help assist you quickly with your support case. Okay, so now let's go on to connecting your Edlio Pay webstore. We're going to be looking at three different aspects of Sunset County, the first one is the admin side which I've gone over a little bit the next part is the homepage of Sunset County here and this is what most of your schools' homepages has look like. And the third part we're going to be looking at Sunset County's Edlio Pay webstore. So this is what we're going to be looking at and there's going to be a couple items that I'm going to show you within in the store as well. So your first option to connect your Edlio Pay web store to your website is a scrolling Marquee so as you can see here, Sunset county has set up a marquis with specific items from their at the Edlio Pay webstore. You'll see the athletic season pass, there's a t-shirt, parking passes. This is  a really great way to show parents and visitors to your website what's available in your web store. So I'm going to click on a t-shirt here and when I click on that that takes directly to my Edlio Pay web store and then I can add it to the cart and then proceed to purchase it from there. In order to set up a marquee you're going to have to contact Edlio Support so again that's going to your admin site clicking on contact Edlio Support every other and submitting a new case or again, if you don't have this option contacting your Client Success Specialist. Your 2nd option of where you can include a link to your Edlio Play Store is to actually include it in your Quick Links section here. So many of your school homepages have a Quick Links section. with an icon and text. So what Sunset County did here was actually add an icon and text of "online payments" and then when you click on that, it takes it back to their at the Edlio Pay store Again in order to add a Quick Links icon into that section you need to contact Edlio Support or your Client Success Specialist. The next couple options I'm talking about you can do yourself through your admin site, so let's start with those. So, you'll see as I was scrolling here there is a homepage button widget that has been set up that says "Pay Student Registration Fees Here" So this is a really great way to have it pop up on your website and as the visitors are scrolling it stays there and then when they click on it it's gonna take them directly to that item. In order to set up this button home page widget let's go back to the admin side of Sunset County. We're going to click on the three lines which is the hamburger menu, and we're going to scroll to Page Management and go to Homepage Widgets. And here you'll see the Form Widget And the Button Widget. We want the Button Widget so I'm going to click on this and drag it to where I want it to show up on my school's homepage. I can choose it to be anywhere. I'm going to go ahead and delete this one cause we're recreating this again. And so now I want to label this button widget as Pay Student Registration Fees here. add that in. and now I'm going to go to my Edlio Pay store and I'm going to search for that registration item which is pulled up here and then copy this exact URL. [Pause] And copy that link here. Now I'm going to choose this option for the link to open up in a new tab so that it's easier for my website visitors to keep track of what they're doing and they don't need to keep pressing the back button it's just the best practice to set it up this way it just makes your website more user-friendly and easier to navigate. So let's go ahead and save the changes here and we're going to go back to our homepage and refresh a couple times. and we're going to click on the homepage button and there you see it goes directly to The Pre-k registration full payment and then parents can add it to directly to the cart. That's a  great and easy way to just have registration ready to go for parents. Okay, so the next option I want to discuss is adding a link to your navigation drop-down. As you can see here, there are a couple droop-down containers set up, About Us Departments,  Students and Parents and actually want to include the Online School Store here under the Parents drop down. So in order to add anything to this drop down here I'm going to go back to my admin section click on the hamburger menu go to Site Management, Site Navigation and I'm going to go to my Parents container, which is here. and I'm going to delete this so we can redo it again. I'm going to click "new item" and call this Online School Store. and now since I'm including the Edlio Pay URL, I'm going to click on URL go to my Edlio Pay store. I want the actual homepage of the Edlio Pay Store to pop up here so that why I'm choosing this URL. Paste that in. Again I'm going to have it open as a new tab and it's hit "save" Let's go back to our homepage refresh a couple times Go to our Online School Store and there you go, it's going directly to Edlio Pay. Okay and another option and this is one of my favorite options is actually adding your Edlio Pay items to the News and Announcements section of your website. For example here, I have created a news item to make parents and students aware that today is the last day to purchase a 2020 School Agenda and so the way I added this item to my News and Announcements section, I went to my admin side go to the hamburger menu, go to the Annouce module, click on News and Alerts. We're going to recreate this one here. click on "Add News" and I'm going to add a headline [Typing] and a short summary, which is the text that's going to appear under my headline and in the content box I want to add a description of what the agenda is and also a link to the Edlio Pay school store item. So I want to actually make this "Buy Now" text a direct hyperlink to the Edlio Pay store. So to do that I'm going to click on this icon here which is the insert / edit link. and here I'm going to copy the URL to the agenda which again I went to the Edlio Pay store, I found the agenda item I'm going to copy this exact URL Go back to the admin side, paste that in and hit save. So now you can see that it's hyperlinking and I also want to add an image of the agenda item cuz I feel that helps it stand out in the News and Events section. So let's go ahead and do that. Okay, so now it has uploaded. I also have two choices of when I want to post. I can either post now or later... that's later today or later in the week or at a later time today or anytime I choose. I can also choose if I want the post to expire after specific time or if it's just going to constantly stay in the News and Events section. I'm going to go ahead and post now, so we can see what it looks like. I'm hitting save Let's go back to our homepage And you'll see it has popped up here. When I click on this link, It's taking me directly to the description, with the same headline, short summary text. I'm going to click on "Buy Now" Again it's taking me directly to the agenda which makes it super easy for parents and students to purchase. Okay let's talk about 2 more ways of how to connect your items. So on the homepage you also have your event sectio. Upcoming events.. Here I've added another reminder that today is the last day to purchase a 2020 School agenda. So to add anything to my upcoming event section I'm going to go to my hamburger menu go to Plan, go to Calendars and I'm going to delete this so we can redo it again and if you have your Google, 365 calendar or Google Calendar already connected to your your Edlio website, you can go ahead and add an event through there or you can add an event manually by clicking here. I'm going to choose to have it show up on my events calendar. I'm going to add a title as well. and I'm going to choose the time that I want them to start purchasing again the details I want include the description of the agenda and I want to link the "buy now" button which means clicking on this icon here going back to the agenda's URL adding that item... if I want to add a picture, I can do that as well. And now hitting "save" And then as you can see here, this shows up as an actual calendar item. Okay the last way to connect your Edlio Pay store to your website is to actually add something as a Spotlight Message. So many of your school's may have a Spotlight section where you might have an About Us section as Sunset County does here or you might have a Principal's Message or a Mission Statement. So in order to edit that Spotlight section, go to your admin site. Click on Announce go to Spotlight Messages and here you'll see Sunset County has About Us so you'll just edit that as well add your description of your Elio Pay store or maybe you want to just highlight a specific item like the agenda and then you can add a photo here as well as I did for the agenda and for the descriptive link name instead of "read more" you can add something like "Purchase Agenda Now." and again we're going to link that back here to that agenda item... Hit "Save" Let's go back to our homepage And you'll see it is now updated to "Purchase Agenda Now" and it goes directly to the agenda. So those are couple different ways of how you can connect your Edlio Pay Store to your Edlio pay website. We're going to stay on for a few more minutes just to wrap up any questions Matt is answering in the web chat.
