hello everyone thanks for joining today's webinar my name is Cathy and I'm a part of the client success team I'm also here with my colleague Chris from our tech support team who's here to answer any questions that you may have so feel free to ask them in the chat box we made some enhancements to the staff directory which we'll cover today we're really excited because creating your staff directory is now easier and more customizable I'm going to go ahead and get started by logging into the admin site I'm logged in right now as a web administrator by default staff blocks and Pages can only be managed web admins unless non-administrative users are granted permission to manage the staff blocks by the web admins before I begin I also want to mention that if staff blocks are not enabled on your site please contact your client success specialist or the tech support team to request the feature to be activated keep in mind that once this has enabled on your site the legacy staff directory will be disabled and so to begin you need to have all of your users in the CMS user management is where all of your users in the CMS can be found and you can edit them or update their info this feature is available to just website administrators so let's hop on to site management user management for those of you you have been with us for a while your user management should look similar to this with all of your users listed if you are a new site and you have a lot of users and maybe you need help getting them imported contact your client success specialist who can do a mass upload and they'll send you a CSV template for that you can also create users manually for Google single sign-on or LDAP be sure to submit a tech support case or contact your client success specialist and a member of our team will help you get set up there is a previously recorded webinar that covers the user management feature expensively so feel free to check that video out in the Help Center so once you have all your users we can create staff blocks. Staff blocks can be found in our pages feature so let's navigate over to page management and pages choose a category and section of where are you'd like to create your staff page so we're going to add a new page so click on new page and blank page the layout is still the same but now you have the additional block for staff once you clicked on that you're going to see a list of all the users and this information is pulled from user management you can sort through users by their first name last name position you can cherry-pick the users is you'd like to display you can search for a specific user or you can mark all of your users At Once by clicking on this check box here so let me go ahead and add my users and once you have all your users click on Save your users will them populate on the page you can go back and add or remove a user by clicking on manage staff that'll bring you back to the staff list to change the layout of the staff block click on the gear icon and select a layer the layout of your choice another cool thing that you can do is change the order of users you can do that by dragging and dropping the six dots to remove the staff block completely click on the trash icon so let's give this page a title and because the staff block is a part of our Pages feature you can add more blocks of content photos files and you can also add another staff block so the utilization of the feature of the pages feature is still the same so I'm going to add more content and you have your formatting tool here up at the top maybe I want to assign a header alignment and we can move the boxes in the order we want them to display by dragging and dropping so let's go ahead and publish this page check out the public view on the public link visitors can search for a specific teacher or staff member by using the search bar up here but this only searches for the staff members that appear on the page so I do want to quickly make one more staff page so I'm going to build another page in the same section new page blank page and this time I'm going to title it clubs and you can also add staff blocks on the section menu here on the side so as you can see I've added the users here and I'm going to add some text for some context I'll just so now let's add some text in the main area the Main content area and I'm going to add a music club maybe I'll make this a header maybe I'll give it some color and then I want to add music teachers or staff members I'm just going to filter this by position or sort by position choose my layout and maybe I want to add another club here make this a header this time I'll sort it by the first name and again I want to change my layout let's publish and view the public link so now that we have the staff page created we can add it to our home page and adding the staff page to the drop-down menu like this drop down menu up here exactly the same as adding any page back in the admin site let's bounce over to site management Insight navigation and this is where all of your drop down items can be found so I want to add I want to add the staff page under about so new item and because this is a page and it's part of the Pages feature I'm going to select a page I'm going to search for the staff page that I just created save my changes go ahead and refresh my homepage as you can see my pages links to the drop-down menu as I've mentioned this is a simple way to create your staff directory you no longer have to go through each user profile and select a section to have the user appear on your website if you don't have the feature enabled please reach out to us and will activate it for you that wraps up today's webinar we'll stick around for a couple more minutes to answer any question thanks for joining everyone have a great rest of your day
