Alright everyone we're going to go ahead and get started. Thank you for joining the MyEdlio Webinar today. Today we're going to be talking about how to create beautiful pages to make each one of your inside Pages more visually attractive and a little more fun. So, when you log in to the admin site, you're gonna navigate either to pages here or by going to your hamburger menu and going to page management and pages. Then, you're going to select which category you want your new pages to live in; so today we're going to do our clubs and activities page. So I'm going to come to my clubs and activities category, and then we have our sections here, you can see that I've already created a clubs and activities section for today's webinar. So we'll go ahead and click into your section And then, these are going to be the pages that are living within this section that we're building out, So, when I'm creating a new section for a specific event or topic, I like to create a welcome page with some information and then I've got all of my other pages that are going to be building out that section. So you can see here that I have pre-created a welcome page for our 2021 Clubs and Activities. So you can see here I've added some content just telling people that we have some new clubs coming, and then to use our section menu here in order to view the information. I've also added images and then additional images underneath our section menu as well as any contact information from a user that is in user management. So how did I create that? I'm going to go back a page and then we're going to start building out one of our clubs and activities pages here, so I can show you exactly how I did this. Before we do that I just want to show you here that we have created a friendly URL and this is something that makes it easier if you need to copy and paste this link maybe in an email or any messages that you may be sending out through Broadcast. So when I click on the live link you can see here that I'm now taken to that welcome page that I created. We have our section menu here. Again, we have our rotating images here and then we have that contact information. If we click into any of these you'll see we haven't yet added any content, so this is what we're going to be doing next. I'm going to come back here to the admin, navigate back one page building out our water polo page. So, if we needed to rename our title we would just click into it here, and then this is where we're going to start adding our main content and any additional content we want to add in our section menu area. We can also choose different layouts here; these will be our standard layout and then these three here are going to be our new layouts with our hero images at the top. So I'm going to go ahead and click this one because I want the ability to add either photos, another section menu, or buttons at the top of my page. So I'll go ahead and click add, I'm going to click photo and then here you can see it's just as easy as dragging and dropping or clicking upload here and these are going to be all of the accepted file type of images that you can upload. So let's upload a picture here, just dragging and dropping, you'll see here we have have the alert for a missing alt text so we'll come here and add that. Click save. And then we have the option with this hero image, to either have it full-width or constrained within the limitations of your website's design. You can also have more than one image, so if you wanted to have rotating images at the top, you can certainly do that as well. We'll click save. Now we have our hero image here, and then we want to start building out our content. So we'll go ahead and click add. And here you can see these are all of the options that you can add to your page. So let's start by adding some content. I'm going to go ahead and just add a little more text here so you can see what that would look like. We have the option to format our text, so we can make this bold, if we wanted it centered, all of the rich text formatting is going to be up here at the top. We can even adjust the font color if we wanted to; we can red to match our school colors; we can also add collapsible content boxes if you have a page that has a lot of information and you want there to be a little less scrolling then you would click that here. I'm going to go ahead and add a couple more content boxes so you can see what this collapsible looks like. And then we'll add our text. We can also add photos if we wanted to. Again this is going to be the same drag-and-drop option. I'm going to add two images here. I've just selected two on my desktop and I'm bringing them both over at the same time. We'll need to add our alternative text. We'll click save, then we have our images here. Again we'll have the option to either have the rotate or we can have them stacked. I want them to be rotating so that's pre-selected for me. If we wanted to add any files, if you needed to upload a consent form you could do that, if you wanted to add a button we could do that here as well. That button will redirect you to whichever page that you're wanting to go to. And then, our URL. You can see now we've added that button here. We can also add images and content over here as well; it's going to be the same way. We'll click add and you'll see you have all those same options. So let's say you wanted to add the staff member for the water polo team. We would click that and then the individual we would find here in user management Now you can see we have the contact info here if we were to add more than one individual we can, we also have the option to search for those staff members. So if we were to come in and add whole bunch of people and you wanted it to be easy for your families to find exactly who they want, then we can add that here. We'll go ahead and click save. And then we can also add our staff search here. So these are just additional ways to add that necessary information to your pages. We can save this as a draft if we're not ready to publish it or we can go ahead and we can hit publish now. So now, when we come up here we can also preview our page here or we can go back to the live site to refresh and all the content will be on our page. We do also have what's called our page options, and this is going to be where we would find that friendly URL those we didn't want the long URL string we could just click the pencil and add our friendly URL. Click save changes. Now you can see, when we hover over our links, we have that nice short URL. Let's come back here, you'll see this was before we added anything. We'll do a refresh. And now you can see our hero image is here. We have that content we added. We have our collapsible content box here; when we click on the arrow we can hide it or we can view it. We have our rotating images and then we have our sign up now button that will redirect us to whatever you are always added. And of course, the staff member that's associated with this page. So I'm going to pop back over here. We can also add buttons at the top. If you wanted, you could also add one over here. Click publish, come back to refresh again, and you'll see we have our button up here at the top, at the bottom, as well as under the section menu. You can also drag and drop to rearrange any of these sections that you've added. So if we wanted our teacher to be at the top we could just drag and drop there, publish that, and now the staff member will be at the top of the page. Now we're going to go back to our section and we're going to start adding content to some of our other pages. So again we're gonna click add; let's go ahead and and add photos first. Let's say I want to have my camping trip here and I want this image to be at the top. We add our alt text, click save, again we have our options here. And let's say I want to add another image over, underneath the section menu. Same thing, just drag and drop over. Add our alt text. Save. And you can see here, we even have the option to have collapsible content boxes over here. We'll go ahead and we'll add some content here. Add our text; again we can go ahead and, you know, update the colors if we want to. Make that bold, centered. We can add our staff members if we wanted to like before. If we wanted to add additional photos we could do that as well. And your alternative text just needs to be something short and sweet that describes what the images on the page. And let's say instead of having them rotate, we wanted them to be stacked. Click save there. Let's say I want this image to be above my section menu, then you drag and drop it there. Publish. Now if we want to view our page before we can just click our URL and now you can see we have our beautiful image at the top, our section menu with our image above, our stacked images here. If we navigate back, you can see our welcome page. When we click our water polo page we have our page we created there; our camping page. And, this is going to be another blank page. Another great option that you can do in your pages section is adding a form. So if you want to add a form so your community can fill that out. You would do that by clicking new page and then there's going to be the option for a form. You can see I already started one here. You can see this form here is to vote on what new clubs and activities our school will offer. So let's go new page, and form; so before we can add the form we do need to create one in our forms module, but that's quick and easy, we would just come to our hamburger menu and come to forms. You can see this one that I created already for the new clubs and activities is here. We can click new form. And you'll see we have the option to create a form from scratch or you can see all the pre-made forms that we have for you here. So let's use our Club Registration form. And let's say I wanted to edit some aspects of this - that's not a problem, we just pre-filled this out for you and then you can edit it however you'd like. So let's say I wanted to add additional text at the bottom, and click save, and you can see we have our public link here. So now we're going to go back to our forms. Sorry about that, save. back to our form. So you'll see now our new form has been created. We'll click on the three dots and we have advanced form options. So we can specify who gets the email when someone fills out the form; additional editing options like the thank you page or the submit button. Schedule it - so this will be when a form either opens or closes. You can also specify a maximum number of submissions so if it was limited space available you could go ahead and add that. We can have the form open on any particular day. So we'll say we wanted it to open today. We'll click save. Now you can see our form is open. So we want to go back and we want to add this to our section. So again, hamburger menu, page management, and pages. Our clubs and activities. Spring/Summer Clubs and Activities. New page. Form. And now we can find our club form. Here's our club registration forms that we just made. Open in new tab, click save. We'll come back to our live site, come back to our main clubs and activities page, and now you can see our new club registration form has been added to our section menu. And then we would just fill out that information, click join the chess club and all of those forms will be saved in the forms module along with all of the responses and any additional information that you added to that form. So now, when we come back here you're going to see that our pages are listed in the order that we created them, so if you wanted to rearrange the order of the pages within the section, you would simply drag-and-drop. Easy as that. You can also come here to click the public view and if you know that you're ready to add this to your site navigation, with one click it will be redirected over to our site navigation. And we'll go ahead and we will, you'll see it's added by default to the very last one but I would prefer it rather than be in the contacts, for it to be in our activities area. So I will just drag and drop that. Under our activities, I want it to be the very first one, and again here anytime you see these 6 dots, that means you can drag-and-drop and rearrange the order of your item. So you can see here that our entire section that we created has now automatically been linked. So we come up and click save. Now let's come back to the live site And let our site refresh, we'll do a hard refresh. Make sure all of those updates have been made. And when we come over to activities, we have our Spring/ Summer Clubs and Activities. And you can see now all of our pages and in that section are all living right here under the clubs and activities. And we can come back here to our main dashboard. Again just a quick overview: for the pages, you can either access here or via the hamburger menu. Now let's say we wanted to add this information to a news article. We can go ahead and click that and you'll see this here, this is showing us that all of this is in our site navigation. So let's come here. And let's say I want to just copy this link and come over to our news and alerts. We'll add a news item. We'll have our title, you can add your short summary. Again, we can add our content, we can link to a page, we could even link to a file. We have our rich text formatting here. And let's go ahead and hyperlink our text. Let's make this bold. Again, we can add any files if we need to and then when we're going to post it, so we want to post this now so we'll go ahead and click save. Now you'll see other delivery options to get this information out so whether we want to post it to social media, want to send it out to a Broadcast, the School News app, or the email sender, we can even make it a homepage pop-up alert. So we want it to be today, let's say we want it to post now. Okay, so now we've pushed out this information, so let's come back, do a refresh, and you can see our home page pop-up alert. So when we click read full story we have our link here, and once again we're brought back to all of those beautiful pages that we just created.
