my name is Sarah cannon on a client success specialist I also have with me today Sergio from our technical support team even today we will be talking about some ways to take your atleo said the next level so you may have maybe a recently-launched and other fight with us I maybe you've had one with us for several years months but you're hoping to make some improvements with his men aren't just the standard suggestions to update your pages update your calendar update your photos so I'm going to be talking about some kind of different ways to die about using our feature so that you can really upgrade your side and make sure you're getting the most out of all of the features other than just the standard ways that they're presented a couple of quick housekeeping items today a video this presentation is going to be available on the Hudson after the webinar is done I'm going to probably be available sometime tomorrow or later this week we do transcribe them so that everyone can see the transcripts as well and that takes us a little bit of time so just give us a little bit to get that uploaded and we will allow YouTube use it there I see you can distribute it at a later date to anyone you step need to step away if you need to you know I didn't send this to someone feel free to do that it'll be recorded in there and then use Q&A panel to ask questions throughout the webinar surgery will be helping me to answer questions throughout the webinar I'll try to leave sometime at the end answer questions live as well but feel free to use that I actually said that some folks are already doing that's great I feel free to keep asking question about your ugly  spider what I'm doing and Sergio will be able to help and then finally if you ever do need to get in touch with us again after this webinar this is how you can do so I mention the help center which is help. the topic hi Andre yes we will be uploading this on the help center later so you can view it at that time all right so I'm going to go ahead and log in today to rylo high school you have been in any of my webinar so know that that is the demo website that we're going to be using today let me sign in here do a couple of the things that I'm going to be talking about are just some different ways that you can use our features and some different ways to think about making sure that your site is the best site that you can make it and so we're going to be talking about some ways to think about using some of these tools and we're going to be talking about some commonly some common things that I see is a client success specialist that are ways that you can use these features to make things better on your site so we're I talked today about Pages going to talk about the staff directory and some ways to really improve the staff directory or going to also talk about some integration options that can just overall really improve the appearance of your sight and some of its ease-of-use some of these topics might sound like things that we talked about lost before but we are going to think about them in a different way today so let's actually start by going to pages pages are underneath page management and then pages and I'm going to be showing you guys how to update some pages in ways that really Elevate them Beyond just a standard edlio page and what I mean by that is something like this I'm going to posturing for just a second so this is what we might think of as a pretty standard edlio page right no pictures just know section menu just some text on the page and we're going to look at some ways to make I'm much more elevated and Rich page have more pictures if you are someone who really thinks of their website as a marketing tool this is definitely going to be for you the one we're inside pages of you need to navigate starting at your category pages and then going down into your sections or going to go to departments we're going to go into English which is a section and then we have all of our pages and of course this is a really brief refresher you can rearrange the order of these so that they appear differently in the section menu and so we're going to take and Elevate this page Beyond just some basic English content and you can see here I'm actually kind of already started to with the addition of a few key features here the first thing you might see is that I'm using a hero in his layout and what that means is that this picture is the photograph that is going to be the header of your page and integrating this layout option is a really great way to improve the way your site Pages look so you can edit that am I going to lay out and choosing one of these bottom layouts either of these two are going to include what's called us section menu we'll talk more about ways to use that in a different way as well this one it eliminates that it's a full-width page but for this purpose I'm going to use one of these section in use and I'm actually going to delete this because I want to talk about a couple of other things for the section that you can also now live in more than one place in your Ed Lee okay this is a section in you you can also add a section menu and the traditional spot that it normally lives on either the right or the left hand side you can also add a bunch of other things to your section in new that you might not know about you can add photos you can add files you can now add buttons you can add staff you can add our new supply list feature all sorts of things so one suggestion that I see my clients that I would recommend to climb mine who are really looking to improve the way their Pages look is to play around with that thing things to the section menu your documents in your files don't have to just live and he's content blocks they can live on the section menu the lift look and see what that look I am going to add a file here I can add also a image here this is a really great way to make a page look more interesting is to add a photo we're going to use Lexi I'm going to get picture it's right here needs alternative text I can edit the way that this picture looks too and I can add icons on the right hand side on these images as well you might also notice that I have some stuff it's listed here staff are really great way to class up pages that you use for things like let's say for example you have a library with one or two librarian you really want people to be able to get in touch with them but you don't want to have something large like this taking up space what you can do is add someone using our staff blocks feature to the right hand side of the page word another section of the page in the and now they have their own information listed in a small unobtrusive place that allows you to use the other content blocks for other places I'm going to publish this page and we can look at what it looks like on the live page is Prague going to look a little bit busy because I have just a lot of stuff added but you can see here that a few of these options are just ways to improve overall make a better use out of the pages feature so let's actually build out a page for example like the like that library page unless lets out a few things to say where we're building this up so I'm going to go to Nick nail section I'm going to add a staff here this is my librarian let's see if we had someone here no so let's go ahead and add Danny here so Danny is the librarian I'm going to delete this and let's say for example I also want to add some resources for my library students so I can add some I'm going to add something to the section menu but I'm going to have to be at the top so let's add a picture here now I'm going to add some buttons to it's still the same ones I did on the English page and I'm going to change this button style to be a little different and then let's do great I have a couple of things out of here and make this a little bit more interesting now let's talk about just a couple of up there quick tips for some adding some content if you are copying and pasting content from something like a Google doc another website I've Word document one tip for how to make that content look like it belongs on your website and much more of a kind of like an integrated part of your content copy and paste your content highlight that text and hit this button right here this is the clear formatting button and what that's going to do is take all of those extra characters out of your your copy and paste text and it's going to make the font and the characterization and styling match the characterization and styling of the rest of the page so let me see if I can illustrate what that looks like I'm going to posturing for just a second okay so I copied and pasted all of this text from a dummy text generator I just found online this is not same font has this phone. This is not the same font as this font and so if I could just leave this the way that it is but let's see what that would look like that doesn't look very good does it so I can fix that what I'm going to do is highlight this text quite a lot of texts actually and I'm going to clear the formatting and see now it matches let me make sure I get all of that text and so what this does is this just make this text look much more like it belongs on this page it doesn't look slapdash it doesn't look sloppy it all looks put together now is part of my page so let's save that and publish it and we can look at my new page now and so doesn't that just look a little bit more elevated than the random text that didn't quite match an email address hyperlink inside the text where instead here on this page I actually can click on his name I've got some nice buttons up here that you know not the styling of my website and a picture Eva that changes the way that it looks so those are a few ways that you can really elevate your pages let me touch briefly with the last few minutes on a couple of other enhancements that you can make to your site so let's talk about Google analytics this is something that I don't think many of my customers know is an option and it is it's a free integration and we offered directly with your at account you don't need to pay for it is included with your subscription and I get asked a lot how I can track my stats on my websites you know my customers ask me how I can do that and the best way to do it is to have Google analytics already degraded that means basically what you'll need to do is sign up for Google Analytics we have a link actually right here for you to find out how to do that and then once you do that you can integrate it into your website and we even have a link here for how to add that once you do that it'll track much more sophisticated with much more sophistication I guess I should say the hits that you're getting what traffic you're bringing in and you can just do it yourself right here within Google inside that's going to be Underneath more and then stats so that's a really easy enhancement that you can make but it'll really in improve your Experian speak it'll track the kinds of stops and traffic that you're getting which is really important if you're using your ellia website for something like marketing once you have that Google tool you can come in the settings and then you can go to SEO in marketing and then you can import that Google profile ID save it then you're good to go and then you'll see all that end up info on your Google analytics dashboard a couple of other setting I wanted to touch on that will really improve your edlio site experience you head over to calendars remember that we offer direct calendar integration with Google and Office 365 this is a really easy way to step up some of those of them because it allows you to synchronize and make sure all of your events match across your websites you can also have more than one calendar so you can have an athletic calendar to make better usage of a calendars for things like site navigation you could link one of these calendar but not the rest of them in your second navigation you could use it as a section menu calendar you could go and what I mean by that is something like this can I go back to this one a calendar and then I can adding events to this new English calendar and so was that those are some of the enhancements that I recommend kind of thinking about when you're working on your edlio site let me go ahead and check the chat for any questions that about wraps up the topics that I wanted to cover so let's pause and switch to queue in a to see if there's anything
