thank you everyone for joining us for today's webinar where we will be talkin about all things Google one of the beautiful things about your edlio site is that it comes with a ton of great features that can be integrated directly with Google I use Google for just about everything so this is incredibly helpful for streamlining a number of things on your site we have Google single sign-on or SSO easy Google Classroom integration parents and students can come to your teacher pages and find out what they need for class there we offered Google Calendar integration and the ability to upload files from Google Drive and finally Google analytics which is great for SEO and marketing this is so the first thing I do want to show you is Google single sign-on Legacy here are we are on an admin site login page and once you have Google SSO set up for you to school you'll see this little button where you can sign in with your Google account know if your school or District uses a g Suite or Google Apps for Education you'll be able to login to your admin site with your school email address we usually recommend that if you do have Google to use SSO because it's super simple and secure it so it reduces the number of passwords they have to remember and it also makes things easier on the web admins out there you cannot be there security it included on built-in to fat caitian password reset float and intrusion detection these are all included with your Google account so in order to set up Google as as so you need a first Contact our tech support you can open a case directly through your admin say and I'll send you instructions with everything you'll need so let's say you've contacted our support team and everything is now set up you're going to go ahead and sign in here with your Google credentials for the first time and you'll be brought to this screen here now you have two options the first yes I have an account already that means you already have an account in your user management here you can go ahead and enter your username and password login and then you'll be brought to a screen to find it with your Google account the other option here is no please create a new account form for me that means you do not have that Leo count in your admin sites user management now if you do this are you going to be able to walk again you're going to limited privileges when you first log in because your sights webadmin will need to go in and approve any privileges that you have requested personally I think the better route is to go to this one first easiest and quickest way everyone added to your user management is to actually use our staff template which can be found under user management fill that out send the completed file to your client success specialist who will be able to mass upload everyone to user management at once so after that those users can go login things out yet I have an account already they can enter the username password here and then go and find it with their Google account makes things a lot lot easier on the web out there just some personal advice I prefer going this route all right now that we are in I love to take some time to show you our Google Classroom integration that for the purposes of this demonstration I have web admin access will also say that I'm a teacher as well a teacher / user without web admin privileges would not be seeing so many options here the first thing let's go do settings all right and this is for the web admins out there 100 classroom first things first make sure that this is checked off as yes and go ahead and click save all right and now that we have Google Classroom integration turned on I'm going to show you how teachers can now connect our Google nice to their teacher pages so you coming here to pages I remember I am a web admin so I'm going to see this category page is hereby want to go over to hear to my personal Pages which as a teacher this is where my teacher page would be going to click on the look like all right so here is my teacher page when I scroll to the bottom here and down here you will see my classes now we have that logo next to it that means that class is currently in grated with Google Classroom eyes to see this one here in the middle does not have that so I'm going to go back over to our admin site and I'm going to go ahead and add a new class now for Google Classroom integration from here we're going to go to Hamburger drop-down menu classes and classes and assignments this is something a t all teachers will have access to again I'm in Webb Avenue someone all classes I want to go to my classes what click that so to add a new class will click at class and so here the first thing is going to ask you is do you want to import from Google Classroom click yes here because you can't go back and see if there's a class has already been added you can't go back add will classroom to it later on so we're going to do it now is the time to do it come on click yes awesome now since I'm already connected to my Google account it is showing me the two classes here that I already have did to my edlio site here I'm going to click this one which I have not connected yet with the blue check mark their next now we want to choose which department is going to go in when you go to Fine Arts will connect and add classes all right awesome so you see we have it there already have our assignments pulled in very cool so I actually go back over to my teacher page again so we can see that it's been added so I'll go ahead and fresh and there we go filmmaking 101 added to my teacher page you're automatically with that Google Classroom icon right next to it all right we'll go back what's the admin site here let me show you how we can go ahead and delete a class so we'll come in here go to edit class you different options you can manage your classroom in Google there gives the option but if you want go ahead and remove this class from your edlio site here go down here to stop importing class info from Google classroom alright you go through here you pick the class all right is the option down here what would you like to do with the existing class info remove all the previously connected classes or keep all of the previously connected classes I'm going to remove this one all right in the class has now been removed all right so next up I want to show you how are Google Calendar integration works so we're here on our homepage, scroll down to our calendar here will show all events alright so we got our calendar page here at we have a bunch of different calendars here each of these calendars here can be integrated with a different Google Calendar and I'll show you how we can do that right now we're going to head back over to the admin site all right from here we're going to go to calendars all right we click over here we have different calendars that we currently have here address because see these doesn't mean they're automatically integrated with Google we can go in and select which ones we want integrate with Google so you can have some better integrated with Google and some that aren't it's completely up to you so go over here to our settings we are in our calendar settings now in this is where you can integrate your Google calendar we also integrate with Office 365 if that's what your school uses now or homepage calendar here is going to correspond with this one at zero Academic Year, yours might be named something else might be zero events or something or whatever calendar is Mark zero is what's going to correspond with your homepage so down here this is where we can go ahead and integrate that with Google or Office 365 we are set this one integrated here with Google we can see here if we want to remove that integration we can select remove right here but let's go into a different calendar here I can show you how we can integrate that I will go to staff calendar all right and we'll see here we have no Google Calendar integrated with this calendar just yet so I'll click connect Google Calendar here I don't have a different calendar options we have under this account all selects calendar and I'll connect it that easy now make sure on your Google settings page for that specific calendar to check off make available to public so it can be displayed on your edlio website all right next up let's talk about Google analytics that you can set up Google analytics here with he readily admits it let's start here by going to our settings I'll come down here to SEO and marketing now this is where you're going to go ahead and enter in your Google analytics profile ID are going to need that tracking ID after setting up your Google Analytics you're going to receive an ID in Eugene starts with a UA and then a bunch of numbers after that you can go ahead and add that right here and click save that once you have that all saved their we're going to go back up here went out to more and then stats and this is where you're going to find a lot of useful information now if you haven't signed up for Google analytics that you can actually click right here we got to link right here to bring it right to that page boom bam all right and then you have that we have to even have steps here that show you how to integrate it with your site I'll bring you right to our help center article here definitely recommend going through this as you are adding that to you open site all right and once you have everything set up and you have your tracking ID added to your settings that's when you're going to start seeing some really useful information here I should take about 24 hours for information to populate about this we're going to see all that super useful information from Google Analytics all right and left up I want to show you here how we can go ahead and add a file from Google Drive to a page go down here I'm on a page I want a quick add file upload I want to slice Google Drive now if you're doing this for the first time you'll get some instructions on how to go ahead and find your edlio count with you Google accounts you can go ahead upload files from Google Drive directly on a select that must like the file here and there we go it has been uploaded I'm going to publish that and now that file from Google Drive is now on my page all right and that would
