already folks I think we are ready to get started. Thank you all so much for joining us for this a special my Ed the old webinar today a seven reasons why your school needs a branded mobile app my name is Danny Aiello a member of the client success team here at edlio Noah before we jump into the webinar some quick housekeeping if at any point throughout the webinar today you have any questions or anything like that please feel free to throw them in the trash to the Q and A future whatever you prefer and we will do our best to answer those throughout the course of the webinar and if we're not able to address him as we're moving along here will definitely get them after and Ross maybe I'm sticking around here after the webinar as well stick round he has some questions I will be happy to assist all right and I am very excited about today's webinar on a we've been getting or a specifically a branded mobile app for quite some time and we had it under wraps for a little bit here and so is so excited when were finally able to make that announcement I've said this before if if I could play the Hallelujah Chorus or or even sing it for you if I had any singing ability whatsoever I were that excited about it at what it means for our wonderful clients and how you are able to connect with your dedicated Community now that's what we're looking at today will be looking at the top seven reasons why y'all need a branded mobile app and then we'll take a look at some of our apps in action and all of the tools within them that you can use to connect with your school community all right number one increased engagement not really this is be the most obvious of those reasons right now. a engagement with all the lovely people in your school Community I think parents Guardian staff admins at whoever right it's a great way to connect with your school community that recent study I saw online stated that people pick up and look at the phone screens an average of 344 times a day you know it's say what you will about whether or not that that's that's a good or bad thing but you know if you're really looking to make a lasting connection and ensure that they are seen to the content and information that you are putting out there in that you want them to see a nap is by far the most effective away way to do that might increase engagement we also reaching more people in jail not only just because it's a nap but what are the features of this app is a very robust translation feature we offer 40-plus languages free to go ahead and offer this content out in we be translated to that ensures you are reaching every single one of your school community members here regardless of language any barriers like that it's a very solid tool for doing that has increased engagement general of thinking of things happening at your school right as everything opening back up and now you know just the different ways you can increase engagement bring people to your school to events things like that those on interactive map for easy access turn-by-turn directions any event location at that you're going to post in the app bringing more people into the fold into the conversation they're a big part of why you need a school app all right next up after notification reminders and calendars you get unlimited notifications to push out to your school community Through the app right thing up coming events sporting events plays things like that important reminders as well you don't think items that need to be brought to school you know think of all the pieces of paper that are being sent home updates reminders things like that for a parent you do and they can easily be sent out via email things like that those are all well and good but having a dedicated app like this where you can actually go ahead you know they're getting this notification that you are sending out you want them to see if they great way to get that information out there I'm adding calendar you know these Titans so closely with these remind that's why I added account on this year as kind of got there right any and all the school calendar so I'm 18 clubs in East Pacific Club users can subscribe to those calendars for easy reminders and updates about any sort of upcoming events in your school Alexa just thinking about that this morning so it might one is in preschool now and yeah we have a nap through the preschool for that and I was thinking this morning that was an absolute Lifesaver having that calendar features me like that isn't cuz every every week they do Splash day at school right and water it's fun that we're here in the hot Texas heat so it's fun for them to build out its / 8 tomorrow remember to bring bathing suit towel you know your kids tomorrow and even what I was getting ready I was almost out the door ready to bring my kids to preschool again I forgot that the 2nd towel luckily now set a reminder last night they sent a reminder this morning for absent-minded parents like me oh yeah I need to bring this thing so it was an absolute Lifesaver so now my son didn't have to sit out of / day today I'm so again notifications reminders are very important for parents next up a branding we're going to go deep into this cuz Brandon is so so important out this app is completely customizable to are schools branding the overall look and feel of it to think of it as a hub to share your community school spirit and a centralized location to access the most important information coming out of your school or dish price of branding is so so cute right it's how your community connects to you and your identity to them write with important to keep that image consistent and uniform across whatever channels you're putting it out their School school colors run deep in my right like I think back to my high school and we were the blue and gold any I still kind of get a weird change of products whenever I see that color combo bring me back to my high school day so high school days NBA finals were recently on to the Golden State Warriors I'm not even a Golden State Warriors fan but I I see that blue and gold or brings me back to my high school days just come in a little tender Pride there but you know that Brandon is is so so cute what are the things I want to look at here I have we have the screen here these are all individual I'm app icons year of actual apps that we run I could see here just how unique an individualized they all are right on and you know Brandon wasn't something necessarily top of mind for your school or it's like something you know like hey hey we need to work on this right if you're feeling that way about your your school district right like we don't have the strongest brand reach out your client success specialist we do offer branding services so if that's something so if that's something you're interested reach out to your client success success specialist would be happy to help with that I began looking at all these icons here and I want to hump your alright so we're looking at Heather's now we're going to hop into an actual apps here in a little bit we're going to connect my phone isn't working Ashley check out a few different apps you're in action every app is going to have a header at the top of it so against Still Still number three he around next slide what is still number three branding why this is so important here again we going to see how unique and individualized these all are out your app you really working with a project manager and these are the things they're going to be discussing with you working with you on your header and how we can make that an individualized and unique for you aren't one more example of branding I want to look at your loading screen here again you want that consistent branding across the board see here with all the icons for a few days for the headers for a few days here again buried something to discuss with your project manager how we can make these individualized and a special for your school or District all right let's move on to number four and that is user experience all right now another piece of research lately that showed 90% of people's mobile time is spent in apps that means only 10% it really is browsing the rest of the internet people prefer using apps like that did it is there it is very clear people prefer using apps so every oh we really we always try to focus on the mobile experience right because aside from that you do not even time people young side using apps on as opposed to any sort of mobile internet but on top of that overall general internet usage 60% of all web traffic comes from mobile devices all right no matter what regardless of app or site we are Augustana mobile experience here we want everything looking as good as possible because most likely a good chunk of your audience is coming to your school site from a mobile device so we all want to make sure you're at the site is looking great on a10e of mobile device another another piece again we're dedicated that mobile experience right now as a customer free of charge you full does have access to the no school news app the nother great way to reach your community but that one is just one app across-the-board School News app every no regardless of school every person with download that same app you go in there your search for your school and you subscribe you can easily push up notifications alerts things like that via that app again not personalized that you know it's it is again it is free so but you're missing out on a lot of the functionality of personalized app again we are dedicated that mobile experience but a personalized Brandon app is the way to go if you really want to reach a larger audience and connect with them and make sure they are staying engaged all right number 50 a multiple schools one app that one issue we run into with a lot of parents if multiple kids in one District right so you have kids in high school middle school preschool but there are you going to access all information and easily receive updates for all school so let's let you know we have one school district with five schools in it right you're not going to have five separate you're going to have one asked for the district and then parents can go in and then they'll go in an ad whichever specific schools they want their  off I have it at the high school to Middle School in the preschool right I can go in there I can make sure I'm signed up for all three I'm getting notifications for all three it's it's a it's a it's a great way to stay safe based on your phone on save time and still make sure you are getting all of the necessary information needed for a for all of your children all right number six less work for you I am a big proponent and working smarter not harder right so all notifications announcements on calendar event everything can be updated from your abeo admin site so no need to log into he sort of likes third party system and it is all right there for you to access and push out in one central location all right again makes things a lot easier for the admins out there instead of having to walk out from your other admin sites at one of my favorite features of it all right we're heading into number 7 right now all right and anybody who is a part of this webinar right now you are getting a special special access right here you are getting your the first this year from our customer base about this new feature two-way communication alright this is coming very very very soon right this is the piece we are most excited about all right you'll be able to directly engage one-on-one communication with anyone in your school community so not only does this allow that added opportunity at an opportune individualize at that level of communication going out so you know to whoever you're speaking to it also allows for a deeper level of Engagement with the community your parents can communicate with out with teachers had Manziel hate Mike Mike he's out for the day he just meeting with parents it is going to be a great thing and again it is coming up very very soon so all of you on this webinar right now privy to this information right now but again coming very soon to a community are you able to directly engage one-on-one with members of your school community all right but now let's go ahead and test drive a nap together. Before we do that I want to hop over real quick all right now I have three scoops ice up here right so these are the apps will be jumping into first one Montour School District I want to hop into these apps so we can go through you can get an idea of The Branding is with the overall Vibe is of their sites you can kind of compare and contrast you right now these all look different but still they did they all speak to the overall branding and Vibe of each school this is Montour School District can a school district are multiple schools I'll show you how we can describe a different schools with one District Lighthouse Christian Academy here we have that blue and gold there again to get an overall sense of their branding over 052 and we have Miguel School District here let's go through the site all right there we don't give me just one moment here I'm going to go ahead and stop sharing this screen and I am going to pull up my phone screen for you now so we can hop into these apps together all right now you should all be able to see my phone sunscreen here I'll be able to see my phone screen here all right now the first one I actually want to do is jump in here to the App Store just one moment all right so we can see here we have got the app store here all right let's go back to pull up tlca lines LLC a lines those are Lighthouse Christian Academy right there all right so I was at the house you have an apple. This is what it is going to look like let's go through here and see an idea what that apple look like and Back Again each school have their own individual eyes after I just wanted to show that off to you all right now let's jump into the apps and sell so we'll start here with at Leo Miguel School District are all right now kind of working from the top bottom here when I press this top left of the arrow button top left they're all right now is a school district has multiple School sites here so I can go in and subscribe to you whichever school's I want I swear the high school middle school and pre-school want to go ahead and subscribe to all three all right great okay and I want to go here first I want to look at how much feet let's go ahead and look at this from the top bottom so we have that top header image there I showed you a few examples before are you going to seeing as we've got to be going to just been scrolling through every another image their scroll through multiple images there if you want multiple head or images that is completely up to you we have our floating icons here you can see just some of the modules that we offer news Advance welcome message what happened the news all right and we go and idea what parents will see I'll see how often do events over here to calendar feature looks like they're here now let's say somebody gets a notification right I hate upcoming events happening on that notification will be brought into the actors they can see the specific calendar event that they are getting a notification about I'm going to come up here to the hamburger drop that money up here these top three bars in the top right I see that there aren't we have our articles there as well we go in there twerk quick links different options for parents have they're going back in the hammer to drop down menu here we go we have our Athletics do we have are different clubs there other club options here now I want to come up here to do to show you that translation feature as well right now I am going to be pressing I just about resources there that little gear icon there and there are settings all right so I'll leave our login option right now. Isn't he cute especially when that the two-way communication comes about I am going to have to register for an account be able to communicate with whoever they want to meet you at the school and admin staff whoever how you notifications your parents and go ahead and I'll put the notifications if you know they want them but I kind of like that language. I wanted to show you here it is our robust translation future scrolling through so you can see all different languages here all right let's go ahead pick Spanish all right and every look at bats all of these automatically translated into Spanish here go back up I change back to English all right awesome and a couple other things to look at here or dark mode there is no easier on the eyes depending everybody's different everyone has different preferences turn that off for now I know I want to hop in here also just wanted to point out these that quickly button down at the bottom and call the school if you want to email button so you can go in and email from in the school and here but this is just alright looking to the school site itself if you want to go straight to the school site instead of the app all right what's happened to another here let's go to Lighthouse Christian Academy here again we saw this site before we different here now we have that Brandon here we have the school colors there we see the header up here and I'm going to go ahead in cycle through those are you at least the icons really. Just a little bit differently right and this time we have swelling between the two screens to see the different options that we have here again with the buttons down here little different in Leo all these are completely customizable your work with your project manager on to decide what you want from me is so down here the first one they have is that button for the mobile site phone number on there staff directory map all right and I'll see what were the hammer to drop them and you as well and see just the different tools and resources we have available here that is what you work with your product manager to set up all rights and then we will go last but not least Montour School District. This is the first time I'm opening is at because I wanted to show you what it look like for a parent I just downloaded the app the first time ever ever coming right this way you're going to say I so first I'm going to ask you if you want the ability to send you notifications I'm going to go ahead and allow that all right instead up now and go in as the what state is Montour School District to District multiple School sites for information from so if I click set up now I can go in and pick which is I want information for my son want that school district it is involved in athletics and they are at the high school I don't need the elementary or middle school cuz I know how the kid that goes through today and then go all right stop my school is like my school from the many to follow schools then get news information from your slide this is I have multiple schools here all right I'm going to go to Hamburger drop that money off and that is where I can I go between the different schools here Monster High there we go and it shows only two on two buttons for the bottom here for our tools down here but again just to give you an idea of how these can be caused by the wave bus routes. I like that so you know however however you want it set up on me speak with your project manager when going through all the setup process before getting these you know it's pretty pretty intuitive but you'll be working with a project manager who will walk you through every step of the process here alright alright I'm going to go ahead and meet you at the moment stop showing the skirmish a computer screen alright okay so I that is going to wrap everything up for us today are there any other questions there's 10 more about the Brandon mobile app please reach out to either CSS sales at elderly.com or you can reach out to your client success specialist every single stay here at a bill comes with a client success specialist so if you're not sure who's you are who you are is is reach out to client success that Elio.
