already folks I think we are ready to get started thank you so much for joining us for this very special at my edlio webinar today I all about broadcast I my name is Danny I am a member of the client success team here at at Leo are some super quick housekeeping up-top if you do have any questions today at weather related to broadcast we're not give any questions just about your site go ahead throw him in the Q&A feature at least session shouldn't be too long so I'll have time at the end here if anybody wants to hang out talk about this I have any questions for me to demo something again broadcast related or not but yeah if you do any questions please throw them in the Q and A chat session is also going to be a recorded So if you cannot stay play for the entire duration of the session I don't worry it'll be in the Elio help center within the next few days so you can go in there and check out anything you might have missed if you are not able to stay now is topical we are very excited about 2 days ago and I are out we're going to be covering and leave a super versatile add-on feature a broadcast I will show you how this tool allows edlio website admin to not only send out voice text Andy email alerts offer within your edlio admin site will also go over how to push out social media posts and app notifications as well I know we all have a number of takeaways from the last few years I believe one of the biggest just how vital a direct communication with your school Community is really doing that through as many channels as possible while you're at Leah website is just one way your school or District accomplishes that as I'm sure a lot of you already have this capability with a third-party service of some kind if you don't already have broadcast right I've always at Lyon broadcast you are able to consolidate and handle all of your school communication needs from one place to Let's jump in and learn how we can take care of your school communication and take it to the next level alright first question what is broadcast right let's get into what it is broadcast can do for you that broadcast is a multi-channel message delivery platform to schools and districts out that you can quickly reach out to parents other members of your school Community about news and events in and around cool classroom things like that broadcast delivers messages to cell phones landline email addresses I just about any connected device can receive some form of communication from broadcast rights to push it out to as many channels as possible to cast why did that as possible all the primary message Target is in a parents or Guardians I really anybody can be subscribed as long as a new phone number or email address the contact information come from your existing contact lists with in the sea that's right so if you're using you know if you have your student formation system your sis I mean I interviewed with your site awesome you can pull in contactless directly from from your sis but if not we can also go ahead and make them manually or we can schedule data sing final uploads I would kind of there's a number of things we can do there but again it's all going to come from your contact list and we'll go ahead and look at contact list here in a second we'll build one out together and all that good stuff so again you know if you're using an essay is to manage your school contacts in the guardian integrated that with the other CNS you're good to go but you know with broadcast think of it as a way to push out any sort of important you know information school closures delays and broadcast you have a special event things that you want your school Community to attend send it out over broadcast all right and he do also we have some more recent features that we've added to broadcast including Auto notices right and we have answered all the notices is here Auto notices you can go ahead and send out to know low low on balance alerts me no party like that to two parents Guardians with our Auto notices feature Within broadcast all right so I forgot we also integrated social media to it and it's been a little bit since we have but you know it's important that we do have social media with broadcast as well post to Facebook Twitter or acts on Instagram straight from the cmms so if you want to send out a notification or to our school news app as well you can do that through broadcast as well we're going to send out a message to every no possible just so we can see how it all works folks let's get out of this this presentation is deck will come back here it won't go into are admins that you and I should start building some list about to get out and take a look at it together all right to take a pain pill. list together to think of your contact list as your your address book for you know the digital age right it lets you organize your school community members into specific groups like parents teachers or even like a Pacifica grade-level right on this way you can easily send out Target in messages to the right people at the right time so let's go take a look at our contact list and we're going to get there from the hamburger drop-down menu go to announce and contact list anything as far as like communication goes direct communication with you know your your school Community is that we found here under notes for when I go to contact lists alright so here we will see we have a few different contact list already set up a few different ways you can go ahead and set up your contact list again like I was saying before if you already have some list set up within your student information system recommending I recommend doing this by scheduling data file uploads your tell your client success Specialist or our tech support team can assist you with this but again it's a really easy way to keep all of your contacts update by miwa cell formation is are going to be in your student information system it's a lot easier just to go ahead and set it up through there and think it's with a r s s FTP file server so again I do recommend doing that if possible creating list manually is super super easy super intuitive so let's go up here and be right here in this list was clicking in this it's here we have all of the names added to this contact list email phone number things like that when they were added so if you ever want to go ahead and manually add more contacts to an existing list you can do so pretty easily right here by selecting the sad song and go through entering whatever information you have available for them or you can add in bulk here and what that's going to do is going to offer you this CSV template you can download go in there forever Fields you need to that you can then you can go back here Mass upload them all to the CMAs quickly and easily but let's go back here and click on the contact list button I'll show you here I would create a new list slightly list the top right now this is where you going to choose whether or not you want to go ahead and Creighton Emmanuel list or a data file sync contact list through this case what does create Quick Test list here and where's more making us cut that were doing custom contact list in this again we can go in a single contact or add in bulk here it's pretty easy to go ahead and create a new list but again if possible I definitely recommend learning more about this reach out to your client success Apple Store tech support they can show you how we can go ahead and get those cuz update scheduled and sync with you or your sis alright but now that we have some contact list here that are good to go we have to start building our broadcast we can use one of these lists to send out a broadcast to all of the parents and Guardians their eyes Hampshire your parents and Guardians list has a lot more text contacts weekend is just for demo sake folks to send out a broadcast from scratch we're going to do is go to the hamburger drop-down menu again go to announce and broadcast okay just a couple of things to note before we go in and start building these out one thing right here very important thing to note due to some changes from Google and Yahoo all right we are going to be utilized this email address right here this is what's going to be used to send out emails via broadcast starting March 11th so a couple weeks here again this is a security feature from Google and Yahoo. allow us to use you know any other email address to send out these these these messages again Bell still continue to see your display name and everything I know you'll even be able to reply to your custom email address he'll be coming from this email it really won't affect anything on your end but we just wanted to make sure folks know what you might see a slight change their all right all right down here you can see we have our previous send broadcast here and I got we're going ahead of here and creating a broadcast from scratch just like new broadcast right here and I say that because there's a few different ways send out a broadcast right one with all the notices where everything is scheduled through a test SMTP server really two ways to do it one is this way building out from scratch and you know I'm thinking this is more for like simple announcement things when there's not to be a whole lot of other like data required in this case folks we're just going to go ahead and remind our parents and guardians but spring break is coming up in a few weeks right to pay show me the school district is going to close for this entire week and I'm going to relax do you know enjoy your time to do it but you can also push out broadcast from your news so if you publish news and you have oh yeah big love new story there and let's just say it's a state testing you know scores or something you can also send that out to Broad broadcast as well what it does is give you a line there in a link back to your school site so folks can go back and read the full story directing traffic back to your school website which is awesome which is the key right this is your what your school is that is your your your primary source of truth right for the news out of your school right so any traffic moving back to your your school website is a good thing we're going to go ahead and from scratch then later on I'll show you how we can go ahead and push it out news broadcast all right is give our broadcast a name spring break reminder that we want to go ahead and select which broadcast channel for sending this out there I know reminder e-mail text and voice these are add-on features all right so if you don't have them you know if they're not showing up for you here or the other great out and won't expect on it won't let you select them reach out to your client success specialist and they can go ahead and give you some pricing for for bra cast for at least for those channels within broadcast all right but we're all thinking ahead and select a push notification which is going to go out to our school news app so anybody who has downloaded the other school news app And subscribe to your school going to push notification this news right now we also have a excerpt Twitter Facebook and Instagram these can all be synced directly from your settings I'll show you where we do that in a second that's where you can go ahead and connect your Twitter face settings all right but we have all of our Channel selected let's go ahead and select continue all right now all we wanted to determine who this email is coming from all right the case and training at Ed leo.com it's the only now we have available right now we are looking at email addresses they're so again different channels that were pushing us out through right here in the email so I'll just go ahead and select spring break reminder and then let's see we have our message lyrics copy and paste that are the reminder spring break is coming up from April 1st to the 5th have a real Christian enjoyable break now if we want to add a new translations to this right we can do so right that here let's have a large Spanish speaking population in our school or District on Glenn slept that and write down here I can add automatically add that to all Chay but I go through an ad you know on my message Trevor Channel it'll automatically add that Spanish translation as well like that if you hear it's currently translating all right with their we have our message Spanish as well pretty cool we'll come up here we'll go through we have art text option as well so that's a message from the reminder I think we have that Spanish translation automat we added our voice voice very important to note with extra tight real quick back to text one more time I just want to know one thing with broadcast we can go ahead and get it set up so what a voice Santa is coming from your school's number with texting in the way that you know carriers work with you know but making sure that were worth their they're filtering out spam things like that we can't send you no messages from your school's phone number unfortunately we have to use a different pool of numbers it's give me a random pool of numbers that these messages are sent from again that's to avoid you know any carriers AT&T Verizon things like that from filtering out these mess thinking that they're their span when they're not so just wanted to know that but like I said before with our voice option here you can set up caller ID so the number I said the call is coming from your school's phone they are two different ways we can send out this voice message here and broadcast we can go ahead and record a voice message so you put your phone number here so I can call me I'll go ahead and eat you can record your message and then I will be part of this this broadcast push-up we said all your folks will get calls with that recorded message we also have a text-to-speech service here which is good if you're using the translation feature because you can easily go in and add those different translations are without having them them yourself for that I do recommend utilizing the text to speech feature all right go straight down here we have here there we go are Spanish translation vacation same thing subject spring break and that message and last but not least social media what's include at least one photo or video to this thing will not publish unless we have a photo or video attached to it just Instagram Facebook Twitter not an issue I'm somebody go ahead and put that message in here and upload a photo. Just want to make sure it hits our Instagram is all I can say we get a lot of traction on our Instagram so I made a little graphic here letting folks know spring break we have that ready to go let it go ahead and post with are all three of these actually Twitter Instagram and Facebook was pretty cool alright that's all we can go ahead and do that all right folks but we have that ready to go so we have our message I posted an email text voice that are apps news app to push notifications and social media are all right go ahead and continue this is where we want to go in and add the contact list all right so you can add multiple contact list to you not limited to just one is working at our parents and Guardians contact list of used for quick add contact list here will see all the different contact list within the site so I don't parents and Guardians list all right down here are we have our social media is going to push up today so we can have this sent out now or send later we're supposed to set it out now but I do click Send they're your folks we have sent out our broadcast I leave sent outside Wheeling six folks in those with contactless right so we've sent 1606 text messages or phone calls and then everything else as well once you send that out you have a delivery report it's going to take some time to update so right now it's going to come through a lot of interesting to say processing sitting like that included some fake numbers here folks for this list if we had extra but I can tell you this when we definitely stop one Israel so you can go in and just check out you know how everything went as far as to your email text voice push notifications so sure how all that went there again this one still in progress so we can come back to it I wanted to do real quick actually like I said before is Usher news that you've already created for your site I just want to show you what's your news Silverton here we have our news and announcements here right so these are being mainly posted by you or someone at your school or District I have to come back into our admin site going to go to the hamburger drop-down menu announced and news and alerts this is where I can find all the previously posted news on our site this case you know we have this new story history made Whitney career prep stores the high test scores in decade I really want to make sure our school Community knows about that all right so what I can do is I've already published this news to click on these three dots I can announce it right here and this is where you'll see I have a few different options but I want to focus on this one right here broadcast I can go ahead and send this out via broadcast 20 select that it's automatically going to give you the broadcast do any work they're all right so again we'll go through we'll send this out to the same channels as continued again a automatically uphold in here and it comes with a link through the story right so you're not going to have it's going to be this this with all this texting there right that would be several text message to block we don't want to send that to people but it's going to include a link to this story here which is awesome cuz again we're bringing traffic back to your school site which is the ultimate goal sending go through and review can we get the link right there story of the people who need to read push notifications and social as well all right here remove the voice I want to hear all right, back to the same thing you want to select a contact list all right perfect I'll send I'll send that a lot easier to do so whenever you are building out your news on my always recommend if it ain't the last that you know you posted you're not done you should always go in and announce it via broadcast if possible what's the take a look at settings real quick folks do do you go into your hamburger drop down menu go down to site management and settings all right so we come right here to podcasts want to go over a couple of things with your hair okay. Your quota all right that is how many message units that you have to send out right so each individual email send out going to count 11 credits at your quota he writes will let you know how many have your quota how many you used and how many I have remaining right here down here we can go ahead and select which email he wants Wichita you want selected by beef alright but whenever I open broadcast I want to make sure that email text and voice are all automatically select that cuz I'm going to put you know I'm going to use every single Channel possible to go and collect those they're down here we have contact address for emails what does is this comes from the contact list all right so does essentially a preference or order a priority order right so if you know that you know will say when your sis the fields are the primary email address is email to not email one I was ready to go and play with the order of that Bazar it's going to just go and still quite so much older and you know 1 to 3 but if it if yours isn't there we can make an update to that and yes it makes for cell phones and phones down here down here if you add a new email address again all those messages show up as they're coming from that email address I showed you before but he had with folks reply to them that they'll slide your display name and it went there by Tuesday will go to whatever this email address is here do you want to add an email address like a general one for your school right generic email there you go ahead and add that email address here I'm down here is where you add your caller ID for your phone calls she was answering the phone I hear that you wants to be the primary phone number for any voice calls sent out through broadcast at the heaters let's call number it's a quick verification process takes about 20 seconds and then from there at your your caller ID is set up and when do you send out broadcast using the voice Channel there it'll come from your school's phone number pretty cool all right folks I just want to show you that last thing I did want to hear was here under the settings go to social this is where you can connect your Twitter or ex Facebook and Instagram there's a little bit more set up through Facebook and Instagram just you know essentially a meta it is a few extra steps there but Twitter is is pretty easy to get it done in like that 30 seconds just connecting the accounts on Facebook a little bit more work on the The Meta side there but again it's still pretty quick to set up if you know you're having any issues with it either reach out to your client success Specialist or look at our help center and we can get you some information they're up here in the matter of your admin site the help button go to help center right there if you over here help articles you find articles on just about anything that we talked about today including Auto notices which I think we should definitely check out you know especially if you want to really start utilizing broadcast you know for lunch balance alerts no tardiness things I do like that I think it's a great way to go ahead I just come in here check out our help center articles whenever you have the time folks okay I see we have a question in the tell you what I'm going to do is just wrap up real quick here then I'll get into a cute abortion if you have any questions you broadcast related or not we'll get into those but I just want to thank you all so much for joining us today if you have any questions or just want to know more about broadcast please reach out to your client success specialist also always reach out to your client success specialist this email right here client success at comp if you're not sure who yours is at remember every single site comes with your own dedicated client success specialist so you have a go-to person for any question about your ad Leo site again if you're not sure who years is reach out to clients accepted at live.com I'd like to meet my client success specialist every client success is on that that email train they're all on that that email there so we all get it so you know your your client success specialist will then follow up your hey I mean CSS let's let's meet let's chat about your sights you know again they're always happy to help you there but again I want to thank you all so much for joining us for this webinar again I'll be hanging around here for a couple minutes looking at the Q&A portion or so if you have any questions please throw them in there but again I want to thank you so much for joining I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day alright take care
