Conversations Security Protocols/Limitations

 

  • All Conversations details, including actual messages, are logged, kept, and reviewable by administrators and exportable on request.

  • These records are preserved as long as the client continues their service and for up to 1 year beyond the client terminating services or sooner if requested. A user closing or deleting a Conversation does NOT remove it from our records.

  • Teachers/Admins can initiate a Conversation with anyone 1-1 or in groups

  • Students/Parents/Other can initiate 1-1 Conversations only with Teachers/Admins (they can NOT initiate group Conversations or directly with other Students/Parents/Other

  • All Conversations have a technical "Owner." In the case of a Teacher/Admin-initiated Conversation, the Teacher/Admin that created the Conversation is the Owner. In the case of a Student/Parent/Other-initiated Conversation, the Teacher/Admin who the Student/Parent/Other initiated the Conversation with is the Owner. In other words, the Owner is ALWAYS a Teacher/Admin.

  • The Owner of any Conversation can: add additional participants, remove participants and close the Conversation.
