Good afternoon everyone. Today we'll be discussing the super convenient communication tools that Edlio offers. So, right now we're going to be looking at the homepage here and then I'm going to some areas in the CMS, where we can go ahead and we can send out communication in a timely manner. So, when you log into the CMS, this is what your dashboard will look like. So, we'll go ahead and start by coming up to our hamburger menu and then we're going to come down here to "Announce" and we've got our "News & Alerts section. [Clicking] This is where we're going to be able to quickly post a news article that will be pushed out and available on your homepage. So we're going to click "Add News" and then we'll go ahead and select which one of the News & Announcements sections that you're going to post to. We're going to be posting to our news. [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] Any short summary to get a your readers to click on on your article will go here. Try to keep it short, because you're going to be able to put the full article right down here in the main content box. So just a little headline. [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] And then any additional information that you'd like to add to your news article will go here. [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] You've got your formatting options as always. And then, if you would like to cite a source or link to an outside source, you can do so here. And any photos that you would like to upload, can be put here and that's going to go go ahead and show in your News & Announcements section. Always remember to add your alternative text. And then you're going to have your options of when you would like this to be sent out. You can post it now or if it's something that you need to schedule for a later date you can go ahead and prep your article ahead of time and then send out the actual date and time that you would like this article to go out. When we click "Save" we're then given the option here to post this news article to multiple areas. Our Social Media Manager, if you have that connected. A Homepage Pop-up Alert, which is excellent for urgent news. Our Broadcasts, which is going to send a voice a a text and an email. Our App Alerts for the School News App as well as the Email Sender. So let's do a Homepage Pop-up Alert. Click "Save" and you can see here now we have made this a homepage pop-up alert. You do have the option to edit and turn it off if you don't want it to last for the default of 24 hours. So when we come back to our home page and do refresh you can see our news article has been turned into your homepage pop-up alert and this is going to be the first order of business when somebody comes to your website. So they're going to have to acknowledge this, before they can continue throughout the website. If you click the "Don't Show Again" this will not pop back up as you're navigating back and forth. If you click "Okay" anytime that you come back to the homepage it'll pop back up and then if we want to read the full news story, we would click here. So now you can see our news article, we have been brought directly to it. Now when we come back to the homepage, and we scroll down, you can see also in our News & Announcements section it is available. So when we click here, once again we are brought back to our feature news article. Another great communication tool is going to be found here as a Spotlight Message. A Spotlight Message is going to be a place that is coded on your homepage. Right here and it's going to be just a static message. a lot of times people will use for a principal's message or if they'd like to Spotlight something going on in their school so if you wanted to edit your Spotlight Message you would come here and if you needed to get out any urgent information like school closures, you can also add that here as well so we would edit our title [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] Add any of our content here if you needed to upload an image you would do so right here the same way we did that in our news article by selecting a file or dragging and dropping. And then you can also add some custom links. We have our "Read More" link that is going to be able to show us exactly where we would click to go ahead and open up this message. So when we click "Save" you can see that this has been updated here and when we come to our live site and do a couple of refreshes our Spotlight Message should reflect those changes. So you can see here now it's not a welcome message, it's going to be an Urgent Message that we'll be able to click on and then get that additional information here. Another great way for us to get communication across if there's something that is very urgent that's going to be a Homepage Widget. this is going to be a little button that lives on the homepage that when clicked on it's going to redirect your website visitors to a page that you've created. So we just simply drag and drop on your homepage and then we need to go ahead and give it a title and where we're going to link this to. Keep in mind, if you're going to be a redirecting your vistors to a page that you created you must create that page first because you'll need that live link here. [Typing] [Typing] And then we'll go ahead and we'll insert the link of the page. and click "Save" and you can see here now our widget has been saved and anywhere where this lives here in this little screen, that's where it's going to show up on your website. So we'll do another refresh to show you the button, and you can see here now our Homepage Button Widget has popped up. And when I click on it,  we're taken to that inside page that I had already created. So here you can see it's a great way to get important information across very quickly and it shows up nice and bold on your homepage. We also have a Form Widget. The Form Widget it is going to be living on the homepage just like the Button Widget and the going to be a widget that will collect information and then create contact lists for you. [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] [Typing] This is where you're going to be putting in the first and last name fields and then any required fields that you want to collect that information for for that contact list. So we can add all of these here. We're going to want email or phone number or we can do both. Then we need to select which contact list all of these individuals will be gathered in. Select their contact list And now it's going to be linked. So anytime somebody fills out the Form Widget all of their contact information will then go directly to this list here. Please save our changes here. And now you can see here we can go ahead and we can have our individual sign up here and then that's going to be put directly into the corresponding contact list. If a visitor doesn't want this floating on their screen while they're navigating to the website, we can just click the little "X" and it'll be minimized for the time being over here. Another great way to get out communication quickly will be via our Email Sender.  We'll come over here to our hamburger menu, come down to our "Email Sender" and this is a quick and easy way to send out a nice newsletter to anyone that is in your contact list for you can add them manually. These two templates here include any homepage events or news that we have and that's going to be included in that email. These templates down here or going to be ones that you would create yourself. And now this is where we're going to be entering our content here as you can see we chose the one that has the news, so that's what this here. and then we have the option to edit the content above and below. [Clicking] Again we've got our formatting options. If we wanted to change the color, we could do that as well [Clicking] And then if you want to see what your email looks like before you send it out, we've got this preview here. You can see now exactly what you put into your newsletter what it will look like here on a desktop with our news and announcements in the middle, and how it would look on a mobile device here. [Scrolling] All right, if you want to change the layout, if you don't think this is the one that you that you'd like the best, you just simply put change layout and it'll give you the option to go ahead and start over if you'd like to send this out at a later date then you can do so as well by hitting save and exit and then you'll see here my draft that I wasn't ready to send out is going to live here to go ahead and send it out [Scrolling] we'll click "Continue" And then here, this is going to show us which email it's coming from, who it's going to and what are our subject will be. Again, you can add recipients either manually, you can add existing by clicking any of our contact lists here and they will go ahead and auto-populate and if you happen to have a CSV file that has email addresses on it, you would simply click to add it here. Drag and drop that CSV file and then your contacts will be entered here. You have delivery options whether you send it now or later. And then here, it's going to show you which template we chose, just in case and again you can preview it one last time before you send it off. We would hit "Send Now." And now, you can see, right here our email has been sent. Coming back to our hamburger menu, We also have our Social Media Manager. That's another way that you can send out information to your Twitter and Facebook Community. You would simply connect your Twitter and your Facebook in your settings. [Clicking] Come down to "Social" and with a click of a button you can connect your Twitter and your Facebook. So if you've got those social media accounts already set up come in here, connect and then we'll be able to send out any of those news directly to your social media accounts from the CMS. Another one of our convenient tools is going to be our Broadcasts Broadcast is going to be a way to get information out to multiple areas all at the same time. So that's going to be via text message, a voice message and email. So we'll create a new Broadcast. And you can see here, these are where our message is going to go. You can send it to all three You can send it to just one and just like our news and announcements, it's simply the same way we're going to go ahead and add that are subject here [Clicking] continue and this is where we're going to enter information to go two our three different channels our email, our text, and our voice message. So we need to send from our email, our subject of course our important message [Typing] with our emails, we are always going to have those formatting options With our text message, you're limited to 160 characters and then that's going to be sent directly to the cell phones that have signed up so we'll send out our spring break message here. [Typing] And then here for our voice message we have two options, we can record your voice to send out or we can use the the message text-to-speech. So that's going to be as known as a robo call. Click "Continue" and then we need to specify where these are going. So we pick our contact list and it's showing here, we're sending out to two contact lists emails, text messages and voice calls and then we want to go ahead and we can send now or send later. As you can see all of our communication gives you those options either plan ahead and you can schedule it for later or if it's something extremely urgent that needs to go out right away, you you can send it right away. And so you can see here we have sent our emails, text and voice calls. We have our delivery report here so you'll be able to track just who received. all right,  we also have our School News App. The School News App is going to be our newsfeed that goes out and that is pushed to the School News App. So it's gonna have your news and announcements, it will have a push notification, if the individuals have it activated. And then there's also going to be a calendar events. So it's going to be specifically just the the top news module so quick and easy for your community just click on the app, find that news or announcement and then go through out their day rather than having to log on and navigate through your website. [Typing] Got our link here to our website and then we send and you can see here that our message has been sent so then when individuals open up the School News App, that they're going to go ahead and be able to see in that little stream exactly what you posted. Now we're going to go ahead and we're going to navigate over to one of our newest platforms our Engage platform Edlio Engage is going to be an amazing way to engage with your community and to get information out just as quickly as as working through the CMS. So this is going to be an app that your community can download and then you can see here we have multiple options to connect with individuals in your community. Our conversations feed is going to be exactly what we're looking at right here. And this going to be a place to add our quick message so when your families are logged into the app they're going to go ahead and see it's just like this, the most important information. [Clicking] You can see right here, we have options to add to our posts, we can add photos we can add videos, we can attach files, we can send as a text message, or you can add a poll. So for this post, we're going to go ahead and just make our announcement that spring break has started... We have our formatting options at top just like we do on our Pages and our News and Announcements.  Any content here, and if we wanted to add a photo We would just go ahead and and attach it there. And then we get to select exactly who we want to share this with. Do we want to share it with a particular family? Do we want a share it with a particular child? Or do we want to share it with particular groups? we're going to go ahead and select the entire Edlio Elementary community. And then we're going to go ahead and post. [Clicking] And you can see here, we've got our post with all our necessary information. In the top right-hand corner, we have the FES Score, The Family Efficacy Score. And this is gonna show the app adminstrators and  teachers exactly how many people are engaging with your post. So it's going to show you on a scale of 1 to 100, exactly how effective this post was, so you'll know what types of post people are enjoying more. Another thing we can do here is if we needed to add a calendar event specifically our Engage calendar is going to be a great way to post things like events specific to your particular school if there's a PTA meeting, you can add that here as well so let's go ahead and show you. We'll add an event exactly what it is Who we're going to be sharing it with And when...so we have our dates, you can have it be an all day today you can have it scheduled from a particular time... is it the repeating event we can go ahead and click yes and we can schedule that repeating event. We have our location Again if you wanted to add a photo, you would do so right here or I'll file you can attach here. and then we can either save and continue adding more events, or we can go ahead and click "Save & Exit" and you can see now on our calendar we have our PJ & Movie Day. So when we click on that we have all of our information here, individuals can post comments. We have our inbox feature. The inbox feature is going to be one-to-one messaging or one-to-all messaging. So this is where we could send somebody a direct message if we needed to get some information to them right away. So let's... send out [Clicking] our subject and then our message here. And then when we go ahead and send this will be sent directly to that individual's inbox so when they login they will be notified that they have a message. If you have one drafted that would live here and then you can send it at a later date. If someone is inviting you to join one of their groups, the invitation will show here and if you need to look back at any messages that you sent they're all going to live right here so when we come back to our main screen, there's going to be a little notification When Misty logs in that says she has a new message in her inbox. Your network is going to be who all is associated with you and your family. And the directory here is going to be broken down into your individual family, any groups that you're apart of and the overall organization here. so again, the Edlio Engage platform is a fantastic way to get across information to a lot of people at one time and then also engage them with the posts that you're creating. [Silence] And as always we have our awesome Help Center here that is 24/7 so anytime if you can't remember something or you're unable to get a hold of someone, you can always come to the help center they're going to be past webinar videos just like the one that we're doing today and recently we've added a new quick link here for communication tools. So everything that we've spoken about today will also be here So if you need to get out any urgent communication such as a school closure this is going to be reminders on how would you do that. Again everything that we discussed today will be shown right here as well.
