Hi everyone. My name is Matt Woods with Edlio and I'm going to be one of your hosts today. We're going to actually be recording this meeting and we're going to put it in our Help Center so if anyone joins late, or if you want to share this information with anyone might find it useful, please do that. We'll send the link out after for everyone that's joined today. Cameron Shaw from Dawson is cabins near me I can awesome awesome how's your day going today sir I was doing good just been busy you know you can imagine we're going to be recording this for everyone so if anyone does join in what will share it with them but the title bars but we're going to be talking about how. responded to the covid-19 prices that were all enjoying right now so first and foremost obviously I want to introduce you Cameron but we're also going to have a I'm here as well for everyone to actually act I do have some other co-host going to be answering some questions as we go through so they should be answering anything they can actually tackle out loud actually go towards the end of the walkthrough in the conversation is so but everyone please use the Q&A panel right here and we will kind of a again won't go home afterwards if they're not answered already by my other colleagues so that's really it so I just want to put the Dawson it in the spotlight camera and that's actually where I would definitely love for her for you to kind of maybe start screen sharing some to stop you and let you take over cuz I know we want to show some the things that your schools going through and what you're doing to such work with the with work stop sharing so you to be able to share now and it should bring up to your site I cannot answer the first big thing we did on our website was but we called branded the dog house so we instead of having having to say you know a note check out we get by Cody pools at the Brandon just something for fun little bit so what we did was I went ahead and set a news article in there as an alert as soon as you hit it on the website that gives you the info on it right here for distance learning about a week as we go through our first big week and then when you play three people story it goes. so using a hyperlink section with the new so you don't have to go to an inside page and then click another link to go to this action we just linking directly to it so many clicks more effective Cloud forever navigating website heading so you can't miss it it's right there and really acceptable to IRS well-supported idea what we did was we made this whole place the hub for everything going on so if a parent or not give me the website and I know this is where they're supposed to go to get information and everything else that needed during this right now we're set to be here until May 4th and it's kind of a model but honestly like outside pretty sure that is going to extend on to the end of the year so this will kind of be our main spot for everyone call your dad and get their information and what I put links just going to be the main spot our students are going to to get all their assignments I put a a section 4 news of an announcement that I'm literally posting only information related to the at home time. Right here and then I'm also I put some parent resources that the principles for each of our campuses have given us some dyslexia resources and then we have a whole section on our website that actually dedicated to the covid-19 response which has our current status and then our meal plan for us you know what Distributing Mills End in our actual play or what's going to happen if covid-19 gifts in our area which RT is not believe we are on face to right now and then of course I have our policy for Disney learning over here the procedures that are principles take links over here to all of the learning programs that we use ear in our school is everything that we are using on an everyday basis for all of our teachers at our all our teachers music is so I made a real assessable to access my website and then the main spot that they're using is our teacher pages that I wanted the time to show you guys some of our teacher pages and Leo May sit and how easy it is for all the teachers to actually get it I'll be able to upload assignment someone that I've really been how does Ashley Nina that's what he's gone through she's made glasses and she actually has put videos on here and she actually reads. also just green chairs and she actually goes through a nice little note messages saying do you know when true and showed them step by step how to get one thing that was really good was that almost all of our teachers that participated enough as you scroll through and just find random videos that most of these teachers did it all I didn't have to do much help with them a lot of actual help support documents on Italy has website or incredibly detailed and up-to-date it doesn't exactly where they do what they need to do and Moe's but this is this is our main hubs for all of our teachers to the kids have been instructed actually go to the doghouse and I know to actually go and find out that's a good example right there above the Google Classroom part of it right there with the stall that just comes right over there getting the code and they're all of course also is that most of us were not most pictures of learning to do it as we pretty much so I think it says a lot about the deplatform when are teachers who have not really been trained that will on it were able to really figure it all out with just a helicopter in DC DC using the Subscribe Feature on the teacher pages as well cuz I know obviously a lot of the student Google Classroom to do the assignments for using parents using the Subscribe Feature on the teacher pages a lot of our teachers have actually asked about it and I told him yet that they subscribe subscribe anytime I post my email Miss Miller what exactly is not only does that offer individual teachers but it actually does a kind of digested email at the end of the day for all of your teachers in like a high school setting you can have more than one teacher you have more than one student at the district you don't have to worry about getting bombarded with emails every single time something posted Consolidated email at the end of the day subscribe post. yeah that's absolutely section a new Department called the dog house and I added all these people in here and I sorted them by grade level and that's been the best way to sort it and get it all out cuz otherwise I think my default just one solid Road and I found this to be easier to try and find a teacher that they were looking for there's numerous ways you can sort this you can do it behind grade love last name you have different layouts as well not just the one we're looking at but there's a I believe a 3 column one as well circles or squares on the picture so there's a lot of customization that they eat the user can do after the fact to make it make a website even more of their idea website so that was a response on our website Honduras up to date as we can as well or at least our recap that update as well with nose we have our meal pickups on here are Elementary or actually do online learning and then r70 12th grade this week the first week they had the option to do online learning for packets made it mandatory that they had to go online so we at where smaller District pre-k through 12 we are about 560 and every single 170 add a device to work on Andrew iPads that we loaded them during this time as well so I think it's pretty incredible that Tire district has internet access together as a team and it wasn't just me and all of our teachers admin staff together and get stuff together a neighbor East Boulevard I think that says a lot about the team in the end of staff and the leadership that we have here is absolutely yeah it sounds like as good a great job and I was looking at cuz I was going to actually actually have the location on the mule pick up because yeah cuz obviously you're doing it a couple of different locations at the fire department so the more detailed information there and parents being able to subscribe to the email so our excuse me the calendar so if anything does change they have it right there on their device missing Friday to my calendar and if I how to change things on there and it stinks at all imperfect we tell people tell parents and just ready to go the Google cuz I think your Google District are using the Google Calendar sync with the with the calendar play buses and vehicle are actually uses that to you no time to put all the information in there of what cars are going we're but we have thought about next year. Go ahead and doing a Google Calendar thing give me places where we promote it and the parents it is we can actually do a staff only calendar that kind of password protected so if you do want to have that Google Calendar on there with only visible to staff or maybe the staff calendar we can actually set it up for you so the general public doesn't see but you actually have to log into the website and then the staff or whoever you'd like you can actually beat those extra count you so much and I'm still learning what would you use our social media Facebook and Twitter we have more success with Facebook we have a balance of 65 so we have a lot of pedigree.com to you know go on there to find information but we tried different things like they have a little bit of information on my on the Facebook for Instagram we I try to post more stuff on Instagram the same information as well as it seems like when I can spread it out that way as well and not just one room do jelly build those out to the back end of the end of your system or do you do it through platforms depending on the case what I do is I posted on here and then I actually social media manager share ride over to the Facebook page and it will actually populated description and then drive more traffic exact or something I don't do that with things like this I would do it but for just a small announcement or something like that over there and maybe just put like my more information www. Awesome awesome so yeah that that's what we done on the website pretty much we have my car here as well just a small little at school are still at glance section do which I think is nice covid-19 I don't like how you actually didn't title it covid-19 you actually title of more for at home learning in that just because yeah that's that's what we're doing we're not responding variable formation about the virus everyone kind of knows that I already this is more important learning we don't have it anywhere else is there any other parts that you can think of that might be relevant for anyone joining us website of your response how the district's handling it you know talk about how the communities kind of responding about getting in an obviously and kind of mentioned how there you guys have already put out the the the hot spots in your doing as many devices in possible maybe like the meals getting those out to the student I mean it it almost made me I was talking to someone else, I never expected that I would say that the technology was presented to me literally graduated and I started doing it myself. Environment rating and on top of that what makes the brain is the staff really come together and I think that the response to this whole ordeal doing on his release that would have that that bond that we all come together and one of the big things about that is our meal of your every single day meals for our kids start taking about 8 and what they're doing is on Tuesday and on Friday they are handing out meals to get them between the day so I'm probably they're given them enough meals to make so that we really started that we were able to serve him three meals that first day so it's got to be close to 1,500 and like yesterday we had another pick-up day 100 meals a day at 9 bags left let me know Friday at 3:30 that's awesome a lot of other districts are doing only gender we are actually taking the initiative and doing everyday 33000 year and the imagine if you have my dad has been so thankful at that we're here to help them different things like this I will say this this I can't imagine this happening without having a team environment so I think any type of team-building or any type of you know Bond things that you can do to get your team together like this is going to be a stencil and try to make something like this because I mean I don't know I was doing it with people that I can work with every single person here has our children in our community and that makes the biggest difference whenever you're trying to do something absolutely bunch of questions but we kind of talked about them all through but I know a big one that I have here would be other advice should have for other technology directors or School leaders on helping with the a distance learning or helping the community in general the actual process was literally felt are superintendents that look I want hotspot I need to have my tablet don't have it and I got on the phone right away I get Hotspot luckily we made it next day of school some of these other people waited a week before they did it and there's a so I know right now it's probably going to be hard to get that other people but you know whenever you get that okay take some initiative if you know he's never district and get it get it in the processor don't wait because it seems like waiting is not the thing to do right this time and I thought that you just make it as simple as you can no matter how many times you drill it into their head play right to the point instructions are not going to get a bus and I need to know I made it as simple as I have right here I still have people all the time and I don't know how much more simple I could have made that you but you know Simplicity is a big thing taking initiative to get it done and then also having the support Administration also having open communication major biggest different for us so I think that if you can have meetings with your admin meeting with anyone who is actually doing this household distance learning it's going to make biggest difference if you can make sure that Communication Service I totally have you contacted at Leos technical support and I have ever heard anyone at the district that's that's contacted and how that went did need help with that they reached out to me and if I mean it's great with that to you can call and I'll help you on the phone but most of the time when I actually go to the admin the website I mean it's literally a simple as picking up here on hill and then going to contact edlio support and ride on this page if you scroll right Raichu back with him I'm a night owl so I can just put them in around ten 11:12 at night so you know I don't get a response then but of course the next day usually good morning I have some sort of response hey we're working on it hey we are still got it done for you whatever it might be at the turnaround yeah I know you think that we didn't actually added staff during this has the the tech support was was needed so greatly or a personal many people that we've got it stop but actual calling someone emailing someone or even The Help Center which has the teacher have I gone through it in and kind of use this as a resource to get everything up and going on this route what I would do was show them right in here if you go right here and then go to search and I mean it. pretty much right away disconnect my classes it's all right here where you can find it and I want to get in here if you just go to the features and personal Pages you'll find an all laid out right here for you this is the one that I sent right here the . Atleo. Com at Hayden classes and I'm sure we can put that out this is the one that I sent out teenagers and this is what got them going right out the gate like I said if it shows you how it hasn't done that by step even with pictures could not have been made any easier go back to the beginning of the help center like the homepage of the help center and actually if you click on like the watch are webinars right here this is actually we're all of the videos of like recorded webinars are going to be so Ric webinar will be up here for anyone that does want to kind of maybe are you awake this after the fact but as you can see there's a whole bunch of big ones are going to be some of the communication tools know people don't want to go to step by step to it video actually that they can watch the kind of talk about everything. instruction you know absolutely yeah I'm more than welcome to if you guys want to reach out to me please feel free to email me please feel free to give me a call I can't promise how quick I can get back to you but I'm more than happy to answer any questions or even provide me documents anything I can do to help anyone else I'm more than willing to please feel free to email me or reach out to me if you guys have individual question if you want to absolutely and we do have one question on here to see it's it's John and he is their Google 365 District so they asked about you any of the Integrations we might have with that with that so we do have 365 Integrations on the calendar on single sign in not on this particular video function as a yet I'm not sure what our roadmap look like I'm sure it might that might have been moved up but I can't speak specifically what are road that looks like for adding extra features on 365 it's always something weird what is an estate War suggestions for customers cuz we know the systems. Absolutely perfect and you guys can help us get it step by step closer to making it better for everyone Rosalinda had a question about is used when loading video that I don't I'm not renting to in Ramsey that that that question was yeah I think we're actually going to get her set up with our client success which is actually I Cameron but sessiz is there kind of almost in between technical support and in sales a little bit like they're there to help with training to help make sure that you're getting the most out of your platform so they they do a lot I'll be at the training for a spell so can I help with some of the technical questions that maybe they need a video tutorial with so they're basically almost like client retention is there to make sure you're getting the most out of the sea because we know the more you used to platform the more you more knowledge you have about it the more likely you are to actually stay with that so their client success person so I do not off the top of my head I could definitely pick it up for you real fast Ben Sarah Sarah cuz I remember her jumping in and talkin discover customer success success rep at that time but I'll be out help individually or anything like that but a lot of this like I said comes down to having a good team here at the school that we worked with and then have a great platform and make this as simple as possible with Ed Leo I feel like it's Leaps and Bounds better than a lot of storms out there visually and user-friendly wise anything that makes the good-looking product to add Liam eggs and then on top of that he's abused for the admin my me and my teachers just sell the product 100% we work work work awesome wall I believe that kind of wraps up on our conversation so I said what will post this on the webinar Steve that does Cameron showed everyone if there are any questions you know you want to welcome to reach out to anyone that edlio my email super easy as Matt at at leo.com 2 Chainz and cam obviously you said that you would be more than happy to talk with anyone and we'll put that information out there for a phone call information and I want to check out your teacher page
