alright hi everyone thanks for joining today's webinar today's webinar is about how to make the most of your teacher pages how you can utilize your teacher page to communicate with your students and parents going to go over some of the most important features that we have available as well as share some best practices we also have a tech support agent to help answer any questions feel free to drop them in the chat box the webinar is also being recorded so you'll be able to access the recording in our help center in just a few days so this is a dashboard I'm looking at it from a teacher view and before I begin I do want to remind you that we have our help center available that's available to you 24/7 it's a separate website with some helpful resources so for instance if we click on back-to-school you'll find some guides and tips for new and returning teachers we also have recorded webinars so feel free to check that out at your convenience alright so back to my dashboard I'm currently logged in as a teacher dashboard for teachers is simple relates directly to teacher pages so parents can find you on the public facing website it's usually under like a staff directory page and that looks very similar to this page right here if I click on a teacher name I'm taken directly to the teachers page where I can view his bio other pages that he's created calendar important links as well as subscribe to his page so let's go ahead and get started I'm going to add a profile photo we can do that by going at the top where it says account and profile and this is where you can edit your profile so first I'm going to I can do that by clicking on the and let's go ahead and to drop my image and you can crop your photo let's go ahead and save that and under edit profile you can update your information here I'm on the dashboard you have your available features you can use do we have our email sender and I'll cover that in a moment and you also have your contact list so contact list is a list of all of your contacts so when a parent or student subscribes to your page their information will automatically be stored in your contact list and this is categorized by type so parents can subscribe to your teacher page or just your class okay so I want to begin by updating my bio page and we can go into page management and Pedro and this is where all of your pages will live and you'll see what I mean in a sec I'm going to go ahead and click on my bio page you can choose a layout and under actions you know you can view your page of public view public history make a copy of the same pay unpublished page or delete it I'm going to go ahead and choose a layout for this we can update the title and you can add a page block of content photos files or buttons add an image of at the top for my banner and you do have your you can upload your photos from the listed choices here I'm just going to go ahead and drag and drop my photo don't forget to add your alt text and then let's go ahead and update the main area using the text editor at the top I can dress up my page all right and we can drag and drop the order and I can add an inline image if I'd like inline images you can change the size you can align them and you can also hyperlink okay next I want to add some photos and with this you can choose the layout of the photos you can choose for them to like rotate or be stacked and then you can also choose the constraints depending on the page layout all right so I also want to add some files for my page and make this area collapsible we can go ahead and rename this as well all right and lastly I'm going to add some buttons Let's add another one alright so it looks like my page is complete I'm going to go ahead and publish it and let's go ahead and do it alright so we have our documents here are buttons here and then as you can see we also have my classes listed below so this is where you can upload your assignments this is where parents can also just subscribe to the class itself if you have Google class you can integrate that directly to your teacher page and as long as you assign a due date for any assignments quiz assignments to your entire class that information is carried over to your edlio teacher page you can manage them. Google classroom so I just to show how I can create this I'm going to go ahead and bounce over to classes real quick okay so all of my classes per term is listed below I'm going to go ahead and add an assignment we can add add the title add my assignment file I will save this so I've saved that so now if we go to my assignment page you'll see that information is updated here all right so I also want to add another page 'cause you can keep building on your teacher pages so let's go back and maybe I want to add a video page so this is a video page that I previously created but I've unpublished it so let's go ahead and publish and in your media which can be found here or you can click directly on the video section add new video you have your accepted file types and size you can add title description and then it'll if you have like sound it'll do closed captioning wish you could edit that information as well there are certain videos that you want to unpublish you can do that here you can also copy the embed code or delete that video completely So going back my teacher page now we have a section for videos and students and parents can view them here all right so next I do want to go over calendar go to calendar and then we can add a new event you can enter that information here so I'll and if it's a repeating event you can select the choices below add your details here next rental links you can add that here attach any files okay so let's see what that looks like I'm going to go ahead and publish this information and we have our calendar and all of our events are displayed here so you can also show all events and then order and if they want to do a calendar view they can do that here and it'll show like a like your regular calendar with the assignments listed I'm so as I mentioned that you can keep building your teacher page and we do recommend keeping things pretty neat and simple and concise so let me actually also touch a bit on post all right so this is almost like your bulletin board a way to quickly Share info on your page I'm just going to add text and as you can see you can post to your personal page and or your classes I'm gonna go ahead and save this okay and then I'm going to go back to my pages now you can see the post displayed on my main page as well as a section has been created for all of my posts you can move the items around let's say you want to have calendar here just drag and drop okay so I guess the last thing that I want to cover is the email sender so you can find that also on the hamburger menu and click on it directly from the dash this is a great mass communication tool if you have important information that you want to send to all of your parents this is a great way to just send out your emails I'm going to go ahead and start an email here and you have different layouts that you can choose from I'm just going to choose this one all right so we can add text let me just copy some text here real quick okay and then what articular layout you can choose from like the events that the school posted on their calendar so you can do that as well as news and this is all information that's already displayed on your school website I'm going to add event and you can add as many as you'd like same goes for News stories here and then continue with my message okay so you can also preview your email and it'll display what it will look like desktop view as well as mobile view okay let's go ahead and continue and with this for your recipients you can use your existing contacts so these are the subscribers of your teacher page so you can use the pre generated list all of your subscribers or you can upload a CSV file or you can manually enter your recipients then let's add a subject you have the option to send this message now or you can go ahead and schedule this for a later date or time all right so my email is sent I can also view the report and I can also down the recorder there are some things that you can do with it to see that check the status of your messages that have been sent and yeah and with that we conclude our webinar if you have any questions about setting up your teacher page we have a lot of helpful resources in help center as well as your client success specialist that can help you so feel free to reach out to us and we're happy to help thanks so much for joining and have a great rest of your day will stick around for a few minutes so answer any questions
