Like I said today we're going to be talking about our forms future and how you can use forms to really enhance your website and your communication as well as contacts with our forms module so when we login you'll see here we have our forms feature directly at the top in green you can also access forms by coming to your hamburger menu and down to forms so with the forms module there's many different things that you can do to collect information from your community you have the option to create a new form and customize it however you would like or you can use one of our new form templates that we've added. So when we click new form you'll be directed to this new screen here and you will have a bunch of pre-made forms that you can edit and use for quick and easy form maintenance and building. You can also create a form from scratch using our blank form and if you have our payments option of forms with edlio pay you can use some of our pre-built forms that have the little payment option here. So let's start by building a form from scratch You'll click on blank form and you'll see here all of our options that we can just drag and drop to build out our form so we'll want to title our form so we know exactly what it's going to be used for we're going to make a registration form today and then we have our form fields here as well as our payment options for our forms with Edlio Pay then are additional options down here so today we're going to make a registration form so we're going to add let's do some short answers here and I also want to just add some text I will start and we'll move this text up to the top (Typing text) We have our formatting options are similar to those that are in our Pages module if we want we can make this bold and we can center this we can even add an image if we'd like (Selecting image) so we're going to add our image that we have saved to our desktop and we're going to want to add our alternative text (Typing Alt Text) Click save and we can go ahead and just reduce the size of this so it's not so large (Adjusting text and image) alright now we're going to want to add our fields here so we'll do contact information and you'll see that it automatically populate all of these fields if you don't need all of them, all you're going to need to do is click into one and check the little trash can you can also edit the title here if you'd like if you want we can change the color here you can do it up here as well So you can see there are lots of ways for us to really customize our form so that not only are you getting the information you need but it's going to be visually pleasing when people come to fill it out (Adding more fields and customizing them) I can add additional options if needed and you can also see we can also make these fields required so you're ensuring that you're getting all of the information that you need we can also add another question here all right so now when we click save you can see here that our form has been saved when we scroll up to the top you'll see the status. So currently our form is closed so what we're going to need to do is go into our form settings and make sure that we open up our form so we can start collecting that information You can see we have our form here and if we come to our three dots and go to form options we can further customize how this form is being used. So you can add email addresses here if you want to notify somebody in particular when a form has been filled out you can also customize the submit button that's on the page to say whatever you would like to say and then you can have our default thank you page or you can actually redirect to a custom link you also have the option to submit multiple responses or even have the individuals be able to edit their response and receive the summary We'll click Save here You can see our form status is open now we need to tell the form where we want it to go on the homepage so we can add it in multiple places we can add it in our site navigation here or we can even add it a homepage button widget let's do that first we're going to click share and we're going to grab this link here and you can see we can also add it directly to our site navigation and then shuffles, news, and pages We'll come to our Homepage Widgets We'll go ahead and add a new widget Let's add a button widget we can move our form widget and we're going to put that URL here We'll click Save and anywhere that you see this box here in the gray area that's where it's going to be living on your homepage so if we wanted to move it over here to the left we can do that as well And you can see here are button widget is now living on the homepage and when we click on it we are brought directly to our form here we can fill this out you can see a little asterisc that's going to mean those are the required fields register now and you can see here we have our custom thank you page then all the information that we filled out here Let's come back and let's use one of our pre-made templates Let's say we want to collect payments for the AP Exams so we can go ahead and we can use this form that's already been created and of course we can tailor it towards anything that we would like You can see here we've already put in content so it's less work for you when creating your forms so let's add an image alright we have our image here we can do our additional formatting and you can see here we've already got our first name and our last name for students we can make that required and you can see here we already have some of our AP exams in here so we can just come in and we can edit the price here you can also select how many of these can be purchased we can remove the ones that we don't need we can change the variations we can add more text all right we'll click save and you'll see here that our form is currently closed because we don't have a deposit account but is already hooked up here but if you do have forms of edlio pay this is where your information is going to show up so let's create some form options again again this is where we would create those custom thank you fields the schedule if this is something that needs to open on a specific date and then close on a specific date this is where we would schedule that here so this is going to let know exactly when this form will be open and then if this is something that you need to have a specific number of submissions like for exams if only a certain number of people to sign up for the exams you would then select how many you would want here and then when you wanted to close We'll click save and you can see here at that it is still closed so when we come to our Public View this is the alert that people are going to see until our form has been opened so because we don't have a bank account linked to this that's why we can't open it but you'll be able to see here exactly what it looks like and again this is going to be a share option so let's go back to the registration form click share and let's add it to our site navigation So you'll see by clicking that we're going to be brought directly to our site navigation and it's going to add our form to the very last site navigation container so we want this to be here in our Fall 2021 and we've already have our URL link here so we just simply need to click save and do a refresh alright so we come to our Fall and we have our registration and we can go ahead and fill that out here and ass people are filling out the forms it's going to collect the responses directly into the forms module so you can see here or registration form that we filled out there is one response so if we want to review the responses we would just click and now you can see we have that response that we collected and when we click into it it's giving us all of the information there we can also download this to excel we can also print it out as well if you're interested in collecting any sort of
