Alright! We are just about at the start time. Hello everyone thank you for joining our MyEdlio webinar today on contact list for broadcast and newsletters my name is Diandra Matos and I'm a part of the Client Success team joining me today is my colleague Sergio from the tech support team who is able and ready to answer any you may have anything that you place into the chat window we should be able to get to you so today we are going to jump right into how to use contact list to support your districts and schools. In this day and age we definitely know how critical it is to get information out quickly and concisely to a whole wide range of people so there may be times where you need to send specific alert to a grade of parents or you may even want to create a form of communication that sent out to a bunch of people on a regular basis so I'll be showing you how easy it is to use our contact list feature and how you can use that integrated in some of our other features like broadcast for newsletters Alright! So we are going to jump right into this here so jumping into our admin site here you will see when you log into the admin site you're going to see that there is two ways to get straight to that contact list feature it is a very easy feature to go ahead and get right into the one so one of the ways that you can get there is right here on your homepage where you'll see contact list so that's one way that you can access that another with that you can access this feature is if you go right into our hamburger menu here and if you click down into announce and then you can click right into contact list so either way is going to get you to that same place will go through here of announce and we'll go right in your contact list so contact list are very easy way to create a structured group of contacts that you can use in some of these features that I'll be showing you so there are actually three different groups a contact list the first one is going to be personal pages or sometimes referred to as teacher pages you're going to have class contact list and then you'll have custom contact list as well custom contact list are typically used the most out of any of these but I will show you as well just what some of these contact list look like here so here you'll see all the contact list that were ever created we have a quite a few we use this as a test site but I wanted to go in very quickly here and show you what some of these other ones would look like in real time so I have pulled up here one of why are teacher pages or personal pages and you'll see right here on this personal page there is a subscribe button here on the left-hand side so if anyone if you had a parent a student any faculty members that they come and see this teacher page and they click into the subscribe you're going to see this form populate here any information that's input into this form is going to be created into the contact list for this personal page or teacher page so you have your first name last name email phone number students name you also see here in this prompt that if you were looking to get to a class that's going to be a difference contact list that would created with our class feature here so I'll show you what that looks like as well if you scroll down a little bit further here you'll see that we do actually have the class feature set up if you click into this here you'll see we don't have much built out yet but you'll see that there is a subscribe button here as well so that subscribe button I've already subscribed into it and you'll see what that will look like I'm within our contact list so for that contact list here you'll see that that is a class and if we click into that class that at that I subscribe to earlier yesterday you'll see myself as a contact there and if you need to see what you know parents are subscribed to what you can actually click into any of the links up here and that's going to bring you directly to where that subscription came from so that's a little helpful trick to know where things are coming from who subscribes to what so that same feature if we go back and we go into my collugue Danny's teacher page here you'll see the same things apply so anyone who subscribe to his teacher page to his personal page you'll see that contact list created so if you go into the subscribe to this personal page you want to see where it's coming from again it's going to link you right to wear those subscriptions came from here so that's a nice little feature with contact list I'll also show you you're quickly how to create your own custom contact list so if we go back in here I created one for the sake of the webinar here so if we click into this at Edlio webinar you'll see that there is already some contacts that have already been created so when you are in a contact list you do have two ways that you can add contacts to that you can go in and you can add a single contact you can add as many as you like individually by just filling out all this information here or another option that you have is that you can actually add contact list in bulk so if you do add contacts in bulk you would just go in to this button here and add in bulk and you'll see that you can also download a CSV template this template is a file type that's going to allow you to be able to create that contact list to be able to add in bulk so if you add it in there you'll see if I can move that to the bottom you'll see this is a contact list that you can open let's stay in Google to create this so if you were to create a contact list Google you would just go and see file open upload and then you can drag that right into their to start creating your contact list once it's uploaded you'll see that the field is created here and then you would just go down and add all the contacts that you needed for whatever contact list you're creating whether it is parents for a certain grade chaperones any type of contact list you can create that here for the sake of time I do have one that is built out so I'll show you that here what that would look like when you are uploading some contacts to the contact list here so if we go in here and we take our file that we created with our contact list you'll see it's as simple as dragging it right into here so whenever you drag and drop the contact list you'll see that five contacts were added you're going to click into add contacts and you'll see that it is actually importing your contact file this in real time once that's done those contacts are added right into there you can search through it first name last name contact type email phone number you can actually add on additional features as well if you need additional information to any of those contacts once you have your contact list created the nice part about system is that if you are using a specific contact list and you forget if you have added those contacts prior when you add them in again if you try to use that same list our system will actually not allow duplicate contacts so that's something you don't have to worry about going in and manually deleting contacts that you don't need because they could potentially be a duplicate so once the contact list here is created you are pretty much done with your custom contact list so I will also show you what that would look like to integrate this into some of our other features as well so if we go back and see our homepage here you'll see one way that can integrate that contact list that you just created is with our feature Broadcast Broadcast is an added on feature so if you're not familiar with it please reach out to your CSS Broadcast is a way where you can send multi-channel message to different platforms via voice text and email so if we click into broadcast here you will see you can create a broadcast right up here at the top right side by clicking in the new broadcast and when you create a broadcast you can say whatever you would like it to be very important then you can fill out the channels where you would like that broadcast sent out to but for time being let's just do email and text here you're going to click into continue and then from your email you would typically want to use your school or familiar email address at my parents, faculty and students are familiar with but I'll just click into my name over here to send it out and show you the test so your subject here again let's go with very important and then let's use the message let's say school is delayed tomorrow this is obviously a very short message just to kind of test it out but you'll see here with the email you can create that message you can actually add-on translations as well so if you click into you French or Spanish if you have speakers of different languages within your school you can actually have that translated in real-time here that translation is done you're actually be able to see it here in the translation component what that would look like and the same things would go for text messages as well so if we've just paste that in there you'll see that that translation is going to take place in real time as well and you'll see that transition there too if we click on to continue here at you'll see now where our contact list is going to come and play so with our contact list here you just going to simply click into add contact list and then you can search through all of the contact list that you have created so with our Edlio webinar contact list you would simply just click into that contact list and add those contacts so now you will see that your 13 contacts from that contact list will all be email and then sent out a text message and all of this is populated from that contact list that you created prior all that information just go straight and you don't have to worry about sending out an individual email or knowing who is where whatever the case is once you build out those contact list you can use them at any time send out these mass communications so you can actually send that out now or send that out later and just simply hit send and you are good to go that message is going to be sent out another way that you can integrate our contact list is going to click back in here. Is our newsletter feature so our newsletter feature is another way that contact list are super helpful when you needs to send out and whether it's an event or newsletter that you're trying to create you can send that out very quickly with the contact list so we have a bunch here that have been made as test right up here I start creating one so if we go back here this is our newsletter feature you can send out a newsletter to parents anybody basically that you've created and you can make those contact list for you can go ahead and send out a newsletter so if you go down here and you change your layout we have several different layouts that you can choose from for our newsletter feature so any of these here you'll see that they all have components where you can actually customize and send out you know whether pictures with something or annual newsletter whether you want to do a weekly one that's a nice feature that we have as well for the time being lets click into events and news once that's selected you would simply continue on to building out your newsletter and your newsletter here like I said you'll have several different components that you can edit any of the content here I had to put a little bit of details in there just to give a feel what that would look like right over here you'll see any of your news you can add into that newsletter as well you can rearrange it here so if you want your newsletter to look a specific way with the news that you've built out you can always change that here you can delete them as well then on your left hand side and you're going to have any of your events that have been created and then other components where you can add additional information so those newsletters when you're sending them out you can also preview right into what the newsletter is going to look like and this preview of here you'll see it both on a mobile site and are on what the email is will look like so going back to the message here whatever is built out you would simply click into continue and then from that point you would add whatever recipients you need and this is where your contact list would come into play again here so adding your contacts from your contact list very simple it is as simple as clicking into the add existing and once again you will see all of your custom your class contact list as well as your personal page as well so you can filter through those and just whatever whenever you need that information has to be sent out to whether it's chaperones whomever you need to send it out to you simply go through the list here and here's our Edlio webinar you'll click into it and then you will see once again here all those 13 contact will get this newsletter when you send it out so you can again send that out whether it would be now or you can set up a delayed time to send it out as well so those are two of our features you can use our contact list feature as well to integrate did our contact list feature is a great way to you know kind of just get everything in place so it's a little bit easier to send out notifications we know things change and there's information that constantly needs to be sent out a nice thing about this feature as well as that once you create these contact list its they're pretty much there forever it's it's just something we would go in and delete if you no longer need them but is a very super quick and easy way to send out information in a in a timely matter so I am going to hang around a little bit longer just in case anyone has any questions you can throw that into the chat box and we can certainly get those questions answered as well alrighty if there is no further questions I will end it here if you do have any questions that were not answered in the chat box please feel free to reach out to your we're always here to help you and we're happy to help you out at any given time thank you for joining this webinar and thank you again
