already everybody thank you so much for joining us today for this mildly a webinar not today we are going to be talkin school activities and your school how you can increase engagement and enrollment in them how using the tools built you're at Leo site all right so you looking to increase I sign up for the school play I want to find new ways to highlight your amazing sports teams and that's what today is all about with a lot to get to today so let's get started all right I'm logged into the admin site of Ed Leo College Prep here for this site here is the homepage for Elio College Prep all right now you see I am walking to your  a web admins and that is because a lot of the tools we are going to be covering today are specific to web admins I'm so you know if if you're not aware that men and you want some permissions for some of the things that we're doing today reach out to one of the web admins at your school and they will be a to help you out the first scenario I want to look at today is increasing engagement for a school play by that I mean sign ups for the school play right we're looking for cast members crew members I mean how do we increase sign ups for High School play First Tool in your eye and say I'm going to advise you to use is the forms feature rice and get there either by clicking forms here or by going to the hamburger drop-down menu looking for is there Allrecipes we're going to build a form for sign ups for the school play or I already build one out here all right so what are you performing Wicked this year we look down here to some general information student information here first name last name grade and then parent / Guardians information if we lost a look along side here we can see all of the different form fields that we offer I mean us as your building you're already thinking about ways that you can collect any new information for whatever it is in this case we're getting we're looking for signs for the school play this is a great place to start I shall show you here in a second to how we can also create a form to accept payments for tickets for an event like a school player something like this all right filter pricing for student information here what's going on add one more question here let's go ahead We'll add a multiple choice and I want this one to be the very last question here, grab the 6 dots and dragged it here all right we'll make this one required by checking this box and we'll ask the question would you prefer being in the cast or crew give them the options here cast another option here for either all right we'll go ahead and save that are and I would come up here to the top right here we can go ahead and preview this by clicking on the link here to his looks like auntie lifesite all right looks pretty good so far they've all our form field here alright great this is looking good to me alright so let's go back over to the admin site or at Hanukkah here to our forms all right so we have this form ready to go to collect more sign-ups for the school play on show me how we can get that out to our school Community here in a second but what I want to do next show you that when you are ready to start selling tickets for this play you can even create a form here to collect payments to sell those tickets right that forms with ospi is a great solution for that all right and actually one of our recent additions to your client success specialist for more information on it how we now offer the ability to scan barcode barcode for a ticket event OSP no offers that. So reach out to your client success specialist if you want some more info on that but right up here but we clicked new form we have a ton of templates to go off of here right and we anyone March of the little gray box the bottom right-hand corner payment that means that template includes forms that accept payments are as if we look down here event tickets right here and click on that I go in here make whatever edits you need to but right here we already have all of this pre filled out for you again go here make whatever at it to me too but it's very easy to go in and create a forum to go ahead and start collecting payments all right so we have filled out that going to go ahead and sign ups for the school player I won't catch a 1 crew members but how do we get more eyes on this form all right I'm going to go ahead and announce this via the news feature all right I'm going to go up here to the hamburger drop-down menu again announce news and alerts all right up here I'm going to go ahead and add news all right right here you can select what you want the story posted to, which news category. We're going to use the default news and announcements go ahead and give this a headline join the cast and crew of the school play today we can add a short little summary here go ahead and do that and I I am doing that because I will not be using this content feature down here this is also a great place to adding up information to a page this we go ahead and add information about whatever it is that you're announcing also linked to a file a lot of schools that looks like a PDF something like that but we want to go ahead and link to a page right I want people to go ahead and click on this news announcement they brought to that for them to go ahead and get them to sign up for School play all right I have the link there to the form we just created I'm going to go ahead at a future photo here I always recommend adding a feature photo if you can alright I'll text you got to make sure we add our texts all right. Down here we can go ahead and we can schedule the story to go out at 8 at a specific date and time if we want to also go ahead and slice your whether or not we want this to be on the homepage display I do I want it there so I'm not going to like this hi far from home page button on this date and time I want it there as long as we can get it cuz I want people to want people to sign up for the cast and crew of this play. I'm going to click Save here. all right awesome are new has been published a couple things here that I can do to go and get this message out on social media manager I click on that I can go ahead and push it out to my Facebook or Twitter account that I have connected to my account all right so you have Facebook and Twitter post link to your Alias emsi then you can go ahead and push it out there all right now we can go over here we can touch how many uses homepage for it so we'll come back to that in a second broadcast I can go ahead and announce that it's news email text and voice call with broadcast reject your client success specialist for more info about that and newsletters here all right where they want to highlight here in newsletters that is we have a specific template that pulls in your new stores are eyes when I click that it automatically adds the story that we just added I can go in and add other stories as well as we have that one already ready to go any we want to adhere to the new newsletter we can do that I'll go ahead and just add some text you some good idea what they look like I'm quick up here preview newsletter gives you the option to look like on mobile and the receiver on desktop all right by then click right in here boom bam bring some right to that form all right so definitely make you sweat newsletter feature if you can I think it's a great way to get news out about what is happening or School Evo add it to your homepage right cuz the goal here is we want to bring people back to your homepage right that's the Hub of all your communication all your news right so that is where we want to draw people alright then come back here the admins site what I really want to do right here is homepage alerts are I'll show you why here in a second all right so we're going to display that feature photo up here if you don't want to include that you can on click that we have up here are button labeled I said they're going to see any visitor that comes to your site they're going to see a big home page alert that allowed them to sort of rice they're going to have to either click don't show this message again if they do want to see they can go right into the story right ideas won't be able to engage with this news all right. You can change the button label if you want call them to refill story or I can see if we cannot do this to sign up today all right and then click R button style here I like this one a little bit more little bigger Little Boulder check when you want this to automatically be removed from your homepage it auto defaults to 24 hours so we wanted to be here in just a little bit longer what's a sign of clothes on the 7th here alright and then we'll stay at 4 all right so we didn't create that alert all right so that has been posted knows I go to the homepage right now I am going to see those pop-up alert I thought I should head over to our home page or I'm going to wear fresh air there we go we have our homepage alert right here alright so if I'm a visit to your site I'm going to have to engage with this homepage were in some way all right if I don't want to read it right now I can pick the  up here next time they come to the homepage they're going to see alert again all right if they click don't show again it won't show up for them again but right here quick sign up today bring some rice to The Forum pretty cool all right now that we looked at a way to go ahead and I agree sign ups for you know activities that we looked at a place that can be applied to any thing you know clubs teams things like that let's put him in a little bit and I will look at how to increase that engagement sign-ups using some of those tools now let's look at ways we can highlight some school activities using your aunt Leo site School Community as we all know is so important right so increasing the hype around your team that is important and makes them feel like they are appreciated these kids have worked hard and should be recognized as often as can all right so how do we do that now and we could build an entire page or section of her drama club or drama class or whatever club or activities you know you're looking to throw it out a lot of school to do that have an individual page or section with multiple pages with Graphics videos forms calendars PDF script things like that for a specific club or activity so if you are looking to do that I actually recommend checking out one of our pages webinars we have quite a few we can show you how to build out some really stand out Pages there they recommend checking it when those webinars and using the pages feature for that but right now we are going to focus on another part of your homepage a lot of sites about not all of them will have something called a spotlight message all right I'll show you what that looks like here on at the home Patriot as we scroll that we have a video we have some quick links news in announcement for news and calendars right down here this is a spotlight message right you're only has a photo associated with it you have a title at it's more information here much like the news feature you can link it to an external page if you want a lot of schools use it for a mission statement something like that word principals message maybe something that you want up there a little bit more long-term than just news right now use it's completely up to you you know it's a great use of you know your page real estate here so you know if you really want to go ahead and highlight something special something important to me you want to build community around it's a great place to go ahead and gauge with your audience there all right, go back to our home page if you have a spotlight message you can find it by going to your hamburger drop-down menu announce Spotlight messages know if you do not have a spotlight message on your home page and you want one reach out your client The Specialist they can give you more info on that all right but right here we have this welcome to a new school year Spotlight message which is great you know school year just started for a for most of us here but you don't want to go ahead we have a sub for about a month now then let's go ahead and highlights some of the amazing athletes at our school alright so right now let's see if ADI the fall Sports season is done and the other college prep the girls soccer team had an amazing season alright so let's congratulate the ECP fall 2022 girls soccer team all right so go ahead and erase this old contents that's your I have just a little story here going here and use the text editor up here if you use one texted her before you will understand how to use this and formatted as see fit all right at that here I want to go ahead and change the photo all right well at a photo of the soccer team in action make sure we add are all the texts all right or rubies additional father if you wants to have either there's no photos or ipds this a great place to add those are any yet it's just like the new speech like I was saying before if you want to go ahead and Link this to an external page like you saw the photo message text here which will show up on your homepage I didn't go out here and I had at a custom link to have it redirect to a in this case I want them to read this story I just seen again have a place to go ahead and highlight this amazing sports team which you know hopefully people see that and this is a school that takes Sports Hurst play they're very good at that that is something that I want to be a part of as a student or as a school Community member all right we always want to drum up excitement as much as we can I told her I didn't click save to get back over to home page I'll go ahead and reload and there we go we have our updates to our Spotlight message again it's built up very much like the news feature but this is something that we want present racing that we want kind of cement on the homepage for a little bit longer than those Rags we come up here we have our recent news here in this case you can see here right if we're posting your news multiple times a week this is something that we want to to be able to see for a long time coming so that way it gives it a slightly more
